with the state of retro gaming being so expensive, i strongly suggest emulation, as you can play old games and consoles for free. just look on the internet for the "Gens" and/or "Kega Fusion" and that will provide your engine/s to enjoy all the Genesis library that you want. unlike pirating music, pirating old retro games is fine, as long as you aint trying to monetize them, as they are licensed media, but they also fall under the category of Abandonware, in other words there are no other ways of playing a lot of these games.

Then goes on to list some of the most beloved, well-known, classic games of the generation and list them as under rated hidden gems. I'm surprised he didn't put Sonic 2 or Streets is Rage 2 on the list.
If you're going to play X-Men, I recommend the romhack, Ultimate X-Men. It fixes a lot of the problems the original game had. X-Men 2: Clone Wars however is a much, much, better game. I'll also add Sparkster, a criminally underrated game, Elemental Master, Battle Mania 1 and 2 (the first was released in America as Trouble Shooter) and Panorama Cotton.
Worth mentioning that Yuyu Hakusho has a 4-player mode, either 2v2 or a free-for-all brawl. The game's only "downside" is the relative lack of playable characters, considering the number of participants in the tournament alone in the anime.

A good list but the script is riddled with just made up stuff. Chuck D Head cannot use his head to access higher platforms for instance. The game is so unique because you control a reticle and move that around he screen independent of your ship. I might say the SNES library is stronger, but there sure are some great games presented here. Gunstar Heroes, Alien Soldier, Contra HardCorps, World of Illusion, and Rystar are stand-outs. And I spent countless hours playing Toe Jam & Earl.
Getting a very AI vibe from this script, especially since most Genesis fans know about games like Comix Zone, Toe Jam and Earl, and X-Men. Also, the Genesis was "not as popular as other consoles at the time"?? Sure, the SNES might have inched it out in the console wars (although the SNES/Genesis battle was pretty damn close and is probably one of the most famous console wars in history), but in terms of unpopularity, consoles like the TuboGrafix 16, the Atari Jaguar, the 3DO, and the CD-I say hi. Yup, definitely AI-generated.

I agree, not a terrible list but: Gunstar Heroes, Mickey Mouse's World of Illusion, Comix Zone, Dynamite Headdy, ToeJam and Earl, and Ristar are all commonly discussed and appreciated for what they are. Not underrated, but exactly where they should be. I love TJ & E and Ristar but they're not exactly revolutionary now, nor were they then. Rainbow Islands Extra wasn't even released on the Genesis. It was a japan-only Mega Drive release (I understand the Mega Drive was Japan's Genesis, but if I owned an NES I wouldn't say I have a library of Famicom games). Flicky couldn't be underrated if it wanted to, as Sega includes it almost as often as it can anytime a compilation hits so kids born 20 years after can try it for 5 minutes before moving onto something else and likely never returning. By all means pay homage to humble beginnings and while it is certainly not a terrible game, is Flicky really underrated? While I might throw it decide on every 5 years or so and play a couple levels when I play through a Sega compilation, I assure I did not put in that disc to jam on some Flicky.
"Despite not being popular at the time..." what?! The Sega Genesis took a commanding lead in the 16-bit market in 1989. The Genesis was the number one sold 4th generation console from 1989-the middle of 1995. Nintendo won the 16-bit generation because Sega killed the Genesis in 1995 to focus on the Saturn. This left Nintendo with the only budget console on the market that was still being supported with new games. There was no time in the Genesis's life that it was unknown or unpopular. Addendum- If you wanted to cover an unknown console you should have focused on the TG-16/TG-16 CD/Super CD ROM ROM/TurboDuo.
Ahh Ex Mutants. What you get when you tell your parents you want X men and they dont know any better. Still liked the game but they knew what they were doing with that title.
So you don't know that Ex-Mutants was a comic book series and one that originally started as a spoof of X-Men and other mutant comics? (It was originally supposed to be called "Young Ex-Mutant Samurai Mutants", take a guess why). It was rebooted in a more serious fashion in 1992, hence why the Mega Drive game came to be.
....how are the xmen game, gunstar heroes, landstalker...on underrated lists? these are someone of the hightest most beloved genesis games of all time for their era. Compared to what SoR2 and Sonic The Hedgehog
Uh...everthing you said is wrong, lol. In Landstalker you play Nigel (or any other name he has due to Translation, here in Germany it's Niels), while the wood nymph (not an elf) is actually called Friday (in germany it's Flora) The actual Sequel is Lady Stalker on the SNES. Though that was only released in Japan in 1995. Alundra on the other hand is more of a "spiritual" successor and Alundra is the name of the MALE ELF character that is completely unrelated to Friday and Nigel and their world. It's not even made by Climax, but actually Matrix Software though, so it's not a official sequel.
i appreciate that Virtual Bart is on this list, it's hard as hell and there are some things that could use some polish, but the game oozes The Simpsons and it's creative with the levels as well as their gameplay. my favorite segment is the Dodge Tomato level, where you have to try to Tomato everybody, so you're the only clean student on campus when it's time for the annual photo.
Okay, okay. I was going to comment when you put Contra Hard Corps as underrated but GUNSTAR HEROES??? Come on. That game is not underrated in the least. It's on everybodys top Genesis games.

Alundra on the other hand is more of a "spiritual" successor and Alundra is the name of the MALE ELF character that is completely unrelated to Friday and Nigel and their world. It's not even made by Climax, but actually Matrix Software though, so it's not a official sequel.
@@ShadowAngel-lt8nw to this day i was annoyed that Ladystalker was Japan only, then i found out it was finally translated.
Megadrive does not have Vibrant Colors. The sprites are excellent tho
7:06 ok knock off doctor doom 😂😂😂
i appreciate that Virtual Bart is on this list, it's hard as hell and there are some things that could use some polish, but the game oozes The Simpsons and it's creative with the levels as well as their gameplay. my favorite segment is the Dodge Tomato level, where you have to try to Tomato everybody, so you're the only clean student on campus when it's time for the annual photo.

Fix the video tittle to "Top 50 Most Played Sega Genesis Games!"
Okay, okay. I was going to comment when you put Contra Hard Corps as underrated but GUNSTAR HEROES??? Come on. That game is not underrated in the least. It's on everybodys top Genesis games.
Virtual Bart.
Sega genesis not as popular as other consoles? Were you born yet during sega genesis era?
"That was the Elf Girl, she became Uncle's Stalker"
"Did someone say Landstalker?"
"NOT NOW Uncle"
- Uncle from Another World.
Landstalker was good, the isometric view can be a real pain in the ass, but it helps to make it stand out as a game and a platformer.
Is “Alien Soldier” just a fucking bird?
Most of these are straight up classics. Not underrated at all
So all sega games looks the same. Got it.
Not sure these are hidden gems. Like not even almost.
Despite not as popular as other consoles at the time? Really?
Blast processing
genesis does what nintend dont
Death Duel rules!
Only me who get a bad taste when the word 'diverse' is used?
Did u say sega genesis wasnt as popular as other consoles?
Who wrote this script? That is the most ridiculous thing a gaming channel has ever said it along with snes were so popular they were the only two that even mattered
He's a delusional pusher of falsities.
Streets of rage remake is best
SORR is what the first three SOR Titles were as a whole, just combined into one awesome package, even adding a Creation Engine to allow people to make their own scenarios.
