The wrx hatchback is the most loved hatchback.
I have a 2018 crosstrek 6spd manual, and I've got 1800 miles on it. So far, per tank average, is 31-33mpg, which includes in town, bumper to bumper fwy commuting traffic, and some offroading. I live in So Cal. Slightly downhill to work, and slightly uphill coming home. The 6pd manual is every bit as good on fuel efficiency as the CVT and I'd say I could easily beat its efficiency. It has several ways of monitoring your gas consumption and it's pretty easy to get 35-39mpg on the hwy, going 70mph. Don't gun it all the time, and you'll save a lot of money in gas. I'm not convinced about the hype of the CVT having better gas mileage at all!
I have a 2015 Outback Premium and regularly get avg 34+ mpg. I just drove to Des Moines, IA - 1 way 563. miles - and returned 34.4 mpg @ 69 mph. I had 110 miles on the tank to go once there. That's almost 700 miles on a 18.5 gallon tank.! I believe this XV will do equally as well. My wife's 2012 Impreza Premium gets 36-39 mpg regularly.

The main display is 8 inches on the Limited. The secondary one on the top is 6.3 inches. Sorry for any confusion!

I know you mention push button start on the limited, is remote start standard?
No, remote start is not standard on the Limited. It is available for $427 (you can see this on their build and price for the Crosstrek: www.subaru.com/build-your-own/2018/CTK/JRE/STANDARD.html) Hope that helps!
I hate that Subaru doesn't have remote start on same key fob. Its always a separate key fob. who wants to carry two key fobs. Fix this subaru

The Limited only comes with leather seats, and the Premium can only have cloth manual seats. Good luck with your purchase!
Car Confections thank uuu. I have another question. I live in pa where it snows a lot. Would u suggest buying the cvt transmission w the xmode? Do u think it would help in the snow??
X-mode is not hardcore or anything like that, but it would help nonetheless. It specifically helps in slippery situations, so I think it would be beneficial for you.

anything lower than the Limited has "reflector" headlights. The Limited get the "Projector" headlights. This is a very big deal.!!
The "eyesight" is available only with the sunroof.
I don't know if the front door handles have an "automatic door unlocking" function [as long as the key fob is near the vehicle]...that place on the handle that is the most forward with the 3-4 horizontal lines. Do you know.?

I like Subaru's but I Have a problem with them. I think Subaru Really want you to get the absolute Highest trim there is to get completive Features. I mean They want you to get the Limited for smart Key? I don't care about not having a Leather Shifter and Orange Stitching on the Dashboard. but for 22 grand why just give you Smart key. I still do like Subaru's allot but I don't know why they force you to get the Highest end trim to get Smart key.
