I bought an orange one in Limited trim and love it. Had a 16, much better then previous generation. More quiet, comfortable, more stable feeling, and great LED headlights.

jmen8888 did you lose a lot of money trading a 16 for an 18?
The 16 was $25,100, got it for $22,500, that was the premium model. Went to different dealer for my 18, gave me $18,000 for it, but they are trying to sell it for $23,500. 18 was $31,600 retail, gave it to me for $29,000. So I lost some but wasn't too bad, plan on keeping this one for years. Had the 16 for 1 1/2 years before getting the 18 in August.
I recently bought a 2018 Crosstrek and I like it. It serves it's purpose. I wanted a vehicle that is AWD and will get about 30 mpg. I knew I wasn't going to break any records for speed and that's fine. That's what my RAM 1500 with the HEMI is for. The one thing I am not happy with is the Starlink entertainment system. I know it got an upgrade for 2018 but it's still slow and glichy. The U Connect works way better. Subaru has to do a better job with voice recognition, bluetooth connection, and the way it indexes mp3. An example is if you wanted to play a full album from a thumbdrive and commanded the Starlink system to play it, Starlink will not play the album in track order like it should, but will play the songs in alphabetical order. Since Subaru Technical Support was no help at all, I found a solution on the web and that was to create playlists for the albums using Microsoft Media Player. Starlink didn't recognize playlists from I-Tunes. That's not good when you got over 800 albums! And as I said before, the voice recognition although alright, could be a little better. Final complaint is just recently the Starlink system did not recognize the command to make a cellphone call. The system kept asking me "what type of music I wanted it to play", are you kidding me? It took a complete shutdown of my car for 5 minutes to solve the issue. Some might say that you should not expect everything out of a $30000 vehicle, but there are other manufacturers that are doing a better job in the entertainment field. Subaru markets it's product to a young tech savvy crowd and with that, they should cross there "t's" and dot their "i's" on everything
I agree. The tech standpoint isn’t Subaru’s strongest. But overall it’s a pretty nice car!
It is a nice car, but it would be much better if Subaru hired the right tech guys to get their Starlink system to work properly. Subaru as I said before markets to a tech savvy population and I see their complaints on the web constantly. I don't want to knock them, I want them to thrive. However there are other vehicle out there that perform similarly to Subaru but I wanted to give this a shot. I know Subaru is putting the Ascent out in the near future and it's a handsome SUV. But do you think people are going to buy a vehicle that probably run close to $40,000, if not more for the Touring level with a crappy entertainment/emergency system, I wouldn't. If Subaru wants to retain first time buyers like me, they are going to have to up their game in all areas of the vehicle. Subaru, if your reading this write better software for Starlink and push it through to your existing customers. You've been in business long enough to know word of mouth spreads. Thanks.

I have the manual same color and year. It's really a outstanding vehicle. Manual blows away the CVT transmission for less money. CVT is not that bad, very smooth.
Can you add the led headlight and high beam assist to the premium, to hot for leather seats

Wow you can get a top trim without a moonroof?! In Canada it seems whatever brand you shop, you get into the higher trims they make you have one and if you’re a taller person... it’s kind of obnoxious because it can cut into head space.
Canada we have convenience, touring, sport, limited. As soon as you get to the sport, moonroof...

+Alvin Gayo Since it's a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder I'm going to say no it does not require premium.

Does it have Blind Spot Monitoring and / or Remote Start?
Robert Heitner yes the limited trim has blind spot detection. But for remote start I had to pay around 600 Canadian Dollars extra. Am getting my car in 2 days. Did you already buy one ?
Curb weight? Wheelbase? Good old time data entries?? More mystery even after a 20 minute sales pitch vid. Shoulder room? etc.
