One thing I add to a body butter for irritated and dry skin is collagen(Cosmetic or medical grade) it helps with healing. Also, I add vitamin E oil. I want to learn about colloidal silver and whether I can buy it or not...My uncle just had surgery and an ugly wound. They gave us a 300 dollar tube of Collagen to put on it and a bandage of Colloidal silver. It has healed so fast I was shocked!!!! New age in medicine. Just thought it might help him heal.
Wow! That is so interesting. I haven't tried collagen or colloidal silver. I'll definitely look into that. And yes, I agree with you about Vitamin E Oil. It has so many benefits. Let me know how your butter turns out. 😉
@@jenaerose1 - I read this on Google: Colloidal Silver Foaming Soap is made with 150ppm colloidal silver. Colloidal Silver has antibacterial, antifungal, and antiseptic properties and provides relief from chronic skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, burn, and dermatitis by reducing inflammation, dryness, redness, and itching.--- A friend of mine bought a bar of CS soap BUT, it had chemicals in it......I wanted to make the real thing for her to try out. Then, my uncle got colloidal silver for his surgical wound and I thought, "That must be a sign." I've heard about CS two times in a month when I'd never heard of it before. LOL. I have a bar of CS soap curing right now! Fingers crossed, I made a good recipe on the first try. LOL. Be blessed.
Is there someplace that I could get that recipe? Your ingredients are wonderful I make a lotion. Also what I do is take 50% of my water and put aloe vera juice and the other have distilled water. If you’re willing to share your recipe, I would love that your videos are lovely.
I know there are a lot of people that suffer from eczema including my oldest son. My recipe is quite complex because I think I got carried away with wanting to add every moisturizing butter and oil that I could think of. But the few ingredients that I consider the foundation of my mixture is unrefined shea butter, lanolin, black cumin seed oil and vitamin E. I've changed my recipe several times and trying to see which one he like the best.
Why add water at all seeing the are oils and butters that provide moisture? Also which optiphen did you use the one for water or oil seeing they sell both
Hi @deannawilliams3455. Adding water isn't required. I add water because I sell my products at outdoor events in the summer and I also ship them in the summertime. So, an anhydrous body butter would definitely melt since it's heat-sensitive. If you are making it for personal use, you can definitely stick to only using oils and butters. You will still get excellent moisture. For this recipe, I specifically use Optiphen Plus from Brambleberry (www.brambleberry.com/shop-by-product/ingredients/additives-and-lye/preservatives/optiphen-plus/V001762.html) I hope this helps. Thank you for your question! :-)
@Earth2Flo-v6f Hi there!!! An emulsified body butter includes water. An anhydrous body butter doesn't have any water in it. I hope that helps. Thank you for your comment.
Loved your video and happy to see about your scar! Thank you so much.

Hi when you put your foam liner does it automatically stick or do you use something to make it? Thank you
@SelectSkinJenn The liner sticks once the lid is put in place. However, it has to set for about 24 hours before it's completely sealed.
@ ok thank you! Where do you get yours from please?

@@jenaerose1will it still melt if you just use an emulsifier and the butters + oils?
@SelectSkinJenn Yes, adding water is what prevents it from melting. That's what makes emulsified body butters wonderful for year round conditions.
