I'm still fairly new to body butter but I've done a few test batches and feel more confident. Looks like a great recipe and can't wait to try it. I'm going to add Tocopherol Vitamin E at a 1% ratio hopefully that will help with rancidity. Thanks for this great recipe!
@MYSCENTEDLIFE I was just reading about Kokum.. Do you think that would be a good replacement? I already have the cocoa butter. If l remember right l think it said that it hardens nicely. Thank you btw 🙋♀️
Eventually it will. Most oils have a shelf life of one year from purchase, so whatever oils and butters you want to use - just be sure you know the shelf life of those and you should be fine.
Hi there. Do you have to prepare the glass jars as you would for jam? Does it have to be full to the brim before putting top on? How long does it then last?
Have you ever bought essential oils from different companies and found that they smell different? I had that with sandalwood essential oil, I really loved the that comes from India, I purchased one recently from China, and it smelled really different. It was still good but I was disappointed a little bit. I wonder how bramble berry's sandalwood will smell like😍
I tried making this once, something like this,it's creamy now when u mix it after 2 days it's like solid thing, not creamy anymore.u should teach how to make body lotions
Hi, what are the best containers to pack body butters for selling online? Glass is good, but really heavy and will increase shipping charges. Is it safe to pack in tin containers with screw on lids like Nivea does? Or does the metal leach into the product? Thanks!
There are a variety of great options, our 4oz Plastic Bail Jars are lightweight and secure: www.brambleberry.com/shop-by-product/packaging/jars/4-oz-plastic-bail-jar/V000431.html. Our full collection of jars are available here: www.brambleberry.com/shop-by-product/packaging/jars
These butters last a long time because they're extra moisturizing and you won't need to use a lot of product. Also, the high cost is definitely due to the cocoa butter. There has been a recent spike in the cost of cocoa butter but you can sub it out for mango or kokum butter.
Yes and no. I have a small bath & body business and I have purchased a bunch of different kits over the years…it’s a great way to try out some new products without having to develop the recipe myself or invest in a bunch of ingredients that I may not use for anything else.
I have made this and it sells great! Super for super dry skin. It is a staple in my winter line.
This looks so wonderful. I can just smell it from here..😊
Loving the texture thanks for sharing ❤

I use 5% for my butty butters
been watching since you came out on to youtube, thnx!
Thanks, I like watching your video, wonderfully crafted beauties
Thank you so much 😊
Very nice Anne-M. Thank you for sharing.😊
What would you choose for a replacement of Avocado butter? I'm allergic to Avocado so...
Probably not something l should use. Thanks 🙋♀️
I would think you could use Shea butter or mango butter. I use kokum butter instead of coca butter because it’s so expensive now.

Great video! Will the butters/oils become rancid over time, should it be used within a certain timeframe?

Such an awesome idea for Christmas 🎄 gift 🎁
Can I make it in my stand mixer? Thanks Bramble Berry.
We haven't done that but you definitely should be able to mix it up in your stand mixer!
@bramble-berry thank you so much for the advice. Your lotion recipe is a big hit among my family and friends.
That's wonderfully crafted 👌🏻👌🏻
Thanks a lot 😊
Hi there. Do you have to prepare the glass jars as you would for jam? Does it have to be full to the brim before putting top on? How long does it then last?
We recommend sanitizing the jars before use, it can be filled to brim but isn't necessary. This recipe has a shelf life of a year.
Instead of optiphen we can put neem oil?it's a natural preservative
Neem is not a full spectrum preservative so it would not be a valid replacement for optiphen.
Can shea butter be used instead of avocado bitter?
It can, shea butter is a great substitute for avocado butter.

I wonder how bramble berry's sandalwood will smell like😍
Essential oils are specific to the plant and location so a sandalwood tree from China will smell different than one that is growing in India.

You can use any of our lotion recipes as a body cream - you can reduce the liquid % for a thicker product.

Sounds wonderful but spending $100+ on ingredients for two eight ounce jars is a bit too rich for my pocketbook.
Those ingredients add up to no more than $50 if that
@ the kit they sell per the link is $108.
@marlettamcclain1950 It's not really a kit just all the ingredients linked for easy checkout. The ingredients makke WAY more product than 2 8oz jars
