    When you said I hope you make it and sell it!!!!!!!!! I was like Wow she’s a real one. So many people never want to share because of fear, but what we don’t realize is that our gift will make room for us…… We will always have opportunities to make money & get money we prosper more in life weather Health or Wealth when we share because we have our hands open to receive not closed cause we don’t get much with a clutch fist. Each and everyone of us will reach people that others won’t so no one is stealing any clients or anything like that. God Bless you❤❤❤❤ and Thank You

      Amen, my sistah❣️ A closed fist can neither give nor receive! People will tell you they made a million $$$ but won't take you by the hand and show you how to do it. I guess they'll take it to the grave to be buried with them. Never allowing that tree to flourish on the earth. Or they will but it is monetized! Kudos to you Walnut Creek Bath Boutique for breaking the mold❣️

    Thank you for this tutorial with recipe. I love mango butter too, plus I add a little kokum butter and arrowroot powder to mine to help counteract greasiness. I was wondering if you could explain why it went back to the fridge so much.

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Thanks for watching Debbie! Oh Kokum butter sounds lovely! I have some but only used it in shampoo bars. It went back into the fridge so often because that is something I saw Marie at humblebee and me do for a lovely final texture. I find that it holds the fluffiness better when put in the fridge. She actually whipped it every 10 min, but as my batch is so much larger I put it in closer to 30 between whipping.😊

    I must say that I was surprised to see ‘organic’ Pumpkin Kernel Oil come in that plastic bottle. Looking at the volume of your supply you must be fortunate in the States for it not to be too expensive. Here, a good quality, pure Pumpkin Kernel Oil, I last saw, would set me back $67 for 500ml in a dark glass bottle. Great stuff! // Well done on abandoning the use of colourants- the body doesn’t want or need them. How about rethinking the use of ‘fragrance oils’ - they are neuro toxins. Pure Essential Oils are extracts from the benevolence of Mother Nature Herself and used with respect and research are by far more beneficial and enjoyable than any synthetic creation by man. 😊

I may have noticed a bit of a difference and I may include it from this point on as it is really good for skin. It is especially good for irritated skin. It also help moisturize skin. • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique

      Aww, thanks Tanya! I appreciate that! I have a trick if you can't get pumpkin oil - the trick is to go on to New Directions website and search any ol' oil you want to use. They have a great section that will tell you the absorbency of most oils -
      here is what it says about pumpkin: Absorption: Organic Pumpkin Seed Oil is readily absorbed by the skin.
      So any oil (or butter) that you want to swap, check here and if it states "readily absorbed" you should be good to swap for a non-greasy formula!
      Good Luck!💗

    Warming butters too quickly and too hot and on direct heat can cause graininess. Double boiler will help eliminate grains. That and straining, in case there is bark, has eliminated mine from any grains.

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! That does cause graininess doesn't it! My batch is too large for a double boiler (at least for me since I have the least amount of patience possible 😂😂😂) I don't have problems with graininess with this method but I am very very careful with the stove top heating, especially with the quick cool down in the fridge. Thanks so much for your tips!

      I believe there are different colors from different suppliers. I buy from Soaper's Choice and it is a dark green, I believe Wholesale Supplies Plus has it that is more of a pale yellow. I would suggest looking around at where you buy oils from and seeing what they offer. I have learned to embrace the color, but I remember when I first started using it I was not sure about it! • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi RT - for this formula I would say any fast absorbing oil will be a good replacement - I love to look at New Directions for this info - I checked argan and here is what it says: Absorption: Absorbs into skin at an average speed, leaving a slight oily feeling on skin. I prefer to have oils the state "readily absorb" but if you are good with a more oily end product it would be fine to use. Hope this helps!😀

    I am new to body butter - in fact I haven't made it yet, but I like the sounds of this formula! I have a friend who prefers regular body butter as opposed to "whipped" body butter. Can you tell me the difference between the two? I have searched the web and cannot find an answer. This is a learning experience for me! Can this recipe be used as a regular body butter instead of the "whipped" version? Thanks for whatever help you can give me!

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Marylu! That's a great question, honestly the only difference (as far as I know) is literally as you would think. One you whip, this puts air in the product and gives it that fluffy almost spongy texture. For a non-whipped butter you would let it cool somewhat and pour into jars while still in the liquid form. This gives the butter a much firmer texture. Then you have some people that call a cream an emulsified body butter, this is more like a lotion in texture. Yes, this recipe can be made without whipping! I haven't tested this so if you make it like that I would love to hear what you (and your friend) think!😊

    Hello! I am new to your channel and I am trying body butters for the first time. I have some ingredients already bc I make and sell moisturizing sugar scrubs and wanted to add body butter. My question is can I use cocobutter in place of one of the butters? I know some are already on the soft side and some are hard like my cocobutter. Would Mango and cocobutter work and keep same consistency? Thanks so much!

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thanks so much for watching! I think you could swap either the mango or the shea with the cocoa butter. I will change the consistency a bit probably - because cocoa butter is considered a brittle butter and the other two are considered hard butters. This may not be a bad thing though - this butter has a bit of a lower melt point so adding cocoa butter may help with that. If you try it let me know how it turns out!

    My daughter is allergic to mango. Is there a suitable replacement?

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can try other butters, cocoa butter would be an easy to find replacement but it will make the product a bit firmer - maybe adjust the % of oil up a bit. There are a lot of pseudo butters that might be fun to play with - look at new directions - www.newdirectionsaromatics.com/products/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=butter
      I don't know how well they sink into the skin though so if they are too greasy you could add up to 10% arrowroot powder to help. I don't feel the recipe as is needs arrowroot powder but if swapping for a more greasy oil/butter that is what I would do to help that. Good Luck!!

      Hi Cora! I'm so happy you found me!! Thank you for your kind words! What a great idea to heat your butters in the hot sun! That has to be more gentle than a stove or microwave!! I use the freezer because my batch is usually too big to do much in the fridge, I'm not sure if that would cause graininess or not though. Those butters sure are picky LOL (give that pumpkin seed oil a go, I think you will love it!!) 💗

    how can I dupe the scent for a body butter I got from Ulta? Just by trial and error? I love the smell but don’t know where to start

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a tough one. The best I could suggest is to look for a company that duplicates product scents. Bath and Body and Scentsy, Yankee are all pretty easy to find but if it is an Ulta brand you probably won't find a duplicate. The other thing you can try is to take the notes that you love in the scent and try to combine them yourself. It would take some trial and error but it may be worth it. I just had my first "blending" session and had a lot of fun (I taped it, so it will be up in a week or so). I really learned a lot about blending scents.

      Yes you can but the consistency may be off a bit. Try to keep the butters and oils to the same percentage that I used and that may help keep the consistency closer. The nice thing is you can always gently melt it down and add more oil or butter if you need to, then whip it up again.🤗

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! it is very soft and spongy! But this has a lot to do with how long you mix it. It can be tricky- no enough and it gets pretty firm and hard to "scoop" . Too much and the butter will deflate over time leaving it looking odd in the container, like you shorted someone on product. (I've done both!😆)

      HI Pam! I'm so glad you stopped by and watched my video! You don't have to add a preservative to this recipe as there is no water added. Also there is a low chance of water being introduced to the jar with wet hands. This jar will last a good year, but that also depends on how old your oils are. Vit E is added to help the oils/butters from going rancid too quickly. Let me know if you try it or if you have any other questions!

My storage room also stays quite cool, around 58-65 usually so that helps with my storing.
