Used this today on my 1400!! The paper would feed but not "grab" to print. Weird, never had that happen before. I have a brand new Artisan 50 somewhere that would try to grab but not feed. This biz card/cardboard trick worked out PERFECT! So perfect, I was kicking myself for not thinking of/trying it before. Thank you kind sir.
@@303electronics I'm pretty sure my back wall is not kicking out the way yours does because it has been glued in place by spilled ant bait. Do you know how to access that back wall in order to clean it and free it up? Should I remove the ant trap from that room and hope the ants come and clean up the spilled bait that I can't reach?
Dear You Tube Man: I owe you an apology. I used the alcohol wipe and nothing happened. I questioned your video. I then unpluged the printer and looked in the little slot there was a ballpoint pen. It works flawlessly. Thank you.
Thank you! You just save me $200 dollars from buying a new printer. My Epson ET-2550 had a bad paper jam and after removing it, it gave me the error E-01 and said there was still paper in it. I tried different videos but nothing worked till I clean the roll using the business card and alcohol wipes. After several tries cleaning it and putting paper in, the feed started to work again! It looks simple but it works if you’re patient enough.

Such a simple trick but works great on my trusty XP-325. I carefully dangled a lint free polishing cloth with a corner dipped in alcohol and just let it grab it slightly and pull in a little a few times. Now printing like new!

Thanks a lot for your video. It helped me to fix my Epson XP-345, even if it was not the same problem : At 2:05 we see a black part which hold the paper and turns, to put the paper on the printer. On my printer, this part was almost not moving. I launched a print and pushed this part a little with a screwdriver (from the back left of the printer) to help it to move. It worked and after a few print, this part was able to move by itself :D (Sorry if my English is bad, I am French ^^ )

4:47 I have an Epson Stylus SX600FW and this is the exact same behaviour my printer does. It tries to pull the paper down twice and then gives up, showing an error message, that there's no paper inside. Very annoying...

Thank you for this, I tried the cleaning trick. But my problem is persisting. From the mark that is left on the paper, it looks like it is getting caught on the far right white paper guide, yet there is nothing blocking it. Do you have any idea of how to fix this problem, please. Perhaps a link to another video you have made. Thank you in anticipation of your help.
I will try to see which video I have to help, but for now, try to use a flashlight to shine inside printer. There is like a piece of plastic or maybe a paper clip in the way of the printer. Look from inside the printer as well, through the front area

Out of 14 different websites & “pro” tips with various ways to take apart the entire machine, you’re the only one to recommend shining a flashlight down into the feed/roller. Imagine my shame when I see a hot pink mini sticky-note pad down the hatch *doh*
Tried with a wipe and did seem to help a little. But mine will take paper - and would take card - but now doesn't like card and they have to be done one at a time or even then it might not work and has to keep being cancelled and retried - was fine until a day or two ago - very frustrating! Any suggestions please?

I don't have an infeed issue but i do on the outfeed. If I send something to print, it feeds the paper, wont print, and partially outfeeds the paper with about 1\4" left causing it to error out. Do you have any suggestion's I can try?
Hi. Check the area inside the printer where the printhead goes over the page back and forth. There may be something such as a foam pad out of place that is causing the jam or delay in paper output. I apologize for such late response.

3:58 On my xp 245 that metal bracket on the right had popped out and was blocking the printer head halfway. Had to use my iphone battery replacement tweezers to grab the left of it and somewhat passive aggressively force it back down. 5 minutes auto priming later and it was good as gold.

Any suggestions? Edit-- Hah! Turning upside down and banging on it revealed that there was a small push-pin that I had lost several years ago inside.

Does it give you any error message on the printer screen? Are you selecting the correct printer when trying to print. Also, does it not pick up paper when you are just making a copy? If it does take paper when making a copy, it seems the problem is communication between computer and printer.

The rollers further into the printer may be dirty or a paper clip may be in the way. Open the top of the printer and shine light into the printer to see if something is in the way. Sometimes the foam ink absorber liner that stretches under the area where printhead goes over paper when printing, may be misplaced. Check that too.
I watched the video, scrolled the comments and stopped when I saw yours. Decided that was the first thing I'd do, sure enough, there was an expo marker in my paper feed area 😆.Glad your printer problem was an easy fix!

Little trick, i dont have alcohol wipe. i just cut a little bit piece of wet tissue and fold it. Work wonders!!! Thank you ❤

I found a small battery had rolled back into the paper feeder area. Thank you, it works great now.

That's exactly what mine does, sometimes it prints but only about one in five of those double attempts. Did you manage to fix it?

I followed all steps even used a card trick but now the paper comes out half way🤦♀ Any other solution for this? This is so frustrating!!!
