"No, Zoro stocks will go up!"
*Fishman Island stocks proceed to rise*
Just like the water is rising 😅
Fishman Island stocks are staying as is. All other island stocks are sinking
@@jman53what if fishman island is rising but the others are sinking
Crocus stocks are to the Moon.... speaking of the moon 👁🫦👁⚡️⚡️⚡️

Oda really said
"He turned himself into a ship, funniest shlt I've ever heard"
Well Franky is the shipwright… so he’s a ship, right?
Gold😂@@LuffyTheHero
well, he did in the bad timeline, so.....
@@thechatteringclownthat's what I thought too 👀
They think Franky is a ship because, if you remember, its current bounty showcases a picture of the thousand sunny!
I thought Vegapunk's "Please don't assume the person who killed me is evil" was more of a nod to Kizaru than Saturn
Yeah at first I was like "huh? What can justify what they've done ?" But I doubt he actually thought that the gorosei would come themselves to end his life
Last time people heard of Luffy, they knew he "held" vegapunk "hostage".
i think he know the world gov
will blame some one else on killing vegapunk
for example now luffy is the most likely perpetrator of killing vegapunk in the minds of the average citizen
normie
This makes more sense because they weren't even aware of Saturn until afterwards
Yup. I think he just misread it. He was making sure the world didn’t blame luffy.
It’s worth pointing out that Ussop showed no fear in the face of Saturn and actually stood strong and attacked him with his kabuto along with his other crewmates. The “protect Robin” panel was 10/10 peak
He is up after sanji nami Zoro for his time.
Ussops gradual character growth is amazing! He’s truly becoming a brave warrior of the sea!
You ain't gonna spring into action for Robin 😂 that testosterone kicked in for him
Vivi said that the Sandora river in Alabasta has been growing weaker due to rising sea levels (chapter 161). Oda hid it all in plain sight once again.
She also compared Alabasta to a ship at sea 😮
Then you have the whole issue with Water 7 sinking over time.
Oda stays cooking
Some of ancient weapons as well, one being shirahoshi with the ability to control sea kings and the other being a battleship, i mean im not sure if im looking into it too much but maybe the fact zuneisha is like so tall and can walk through the ocean and the minks living on top of their, and also the fact that marajoise is atop the red line, idk lol
Moon orbit is coming closer to Earth leading to rising sea levels. Finally we know how Oda is getting Enel back into the story :)
The true villian of One Piece was climate change.
I mean...
I wonder if they'll introduce micro plastics in the next one piece movie.
lol imagine Vegapunk is like (in tekking impression) “well quasar, so the world government is not how they seem to be. And well there’s all this history stuff with the void century and the will of D and some person sitting on the empty throne……BUT who cares about that, the real pressing issue is their use of fossil fuels and how it will lead to an increased sea level rise”😂😂
Imu has the climate change climate change no mi 👀
@@andresbeltran6309 yeah Imu is actually just condensed fossil fuel emissions that can be released at any time
I personally interpreted Vegapunk good and evil line as “I know the government is going cover my death up so I should tell the world not to hate the person who’s blamed”
Same
He was protecting Kizaru
Now, that would be brilliant
That’s interesting. I genuinely didn’t consider that. You’re probably right.
@@agdevoqdepending on when it was recorded. Itcoulf be abt the straw hats
The Strawhats protecting Robin against a whole ass spider demon is the most wholesome moment. And it’s not the strongest members but literally the weak trio and Brook. They are famous for being terrified of dangerous situations but when it comes to their nakama they will become exterminators
Loved it. It was so badass. I still wanna know how the hell Robin got that injured lol. I'm thinking I'll never now at this rate
@@ziwi01 i think she was fighting a seraphim
Yeah. Brook is the straw hat who does whatever he is told to. Need to steal Big Mom's poneglyph, no problem. Need to destroy Caramel's portrait, no problem. Brook is so underrated tho, since he basically carried WCI on his back. The weak trio are pretty strong other than Ussop now as well since Nami has Zeus who was strong enough to injure Big Mom and become an insanely large thundercloud and Chopper has his rumble balls. I would love to see them hit Saturn even if he just heals it, it would be amazing to see how much the straw hats have grown.
Now if Robin is off the bench, it's time to see her fight a giant spider. Wouldn't be her first time.
@@jackroberts4361 She probably won't fight due to her injuries.
After learning everything in Laugh Tale, Rayleigh started a ship coating business and Crocus lived inside of a whale
Oda was planning for this a long time ago
Whale, yea. Don’t forget Roger told every one to take to the seas
Holy bananas
Crocus stocks just skyrocketed
Niceeee...
@@LuffyTheHero hm...
We already knew Imu was the ultimate villain but we didn’t know he was SO EVIL that his plan was to literally Destroy Geography. Truly Tekkings ultimate nemesis.
Damn. But we don't even know it's imus fault yet, so hold your breath for now
We seen Korosensei and Naruto those are just your own Agenda 😂, backstab gonna happen in One Piece too we seen to much snitching in One Piece from Nami betrayal to Kanjuro 😂 even Red Rat Agenda gonna be coming True 😂
I saw a theory that Impel Down wasn't built underwater but was built on land and they gradually added more levels as the ocean began to rise and honestly that makes so much sense!
The two most dangerous words anyone who's facing the strawhats can hear is "protect robin"
I guess if you go off on as many tangents as Tekking does you eventually predict the future of the story.
Lol yeah like Dr. Strange examining all those possibilities after Thanos beat the crap out of them on Titan. I'm sure some of those possibilities are just weird and ridiculous 😅
What's those old sayings?
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day

They will eventually be right.
Didn't Iceberg half confirm that the world was Sinking like 700 chapters ago? Also Adam tree, Eve tree, the Ark Noah, we've been preping for a biblical flood this entire time!
The flood has already happened. It's just not stopping
Well, I think it was just Water 7 due to the Aqua Laguna, but yeah.
The foundation of water 7 is sinking. Like Venice.
Wano too
But it was only in reference to Water 7, not the entire world.
Robin in the cover page pulling a Lelouch from Code Geass,
“If the King does not lead, how can he expect his subjects to follow.”
"Wait... this isn't Chinese checkers"
Oh boy if you think this originates from there.
Vegapunk: "the world is going to sink onto the ocean!"
Imu: "DAMNIT HE KNOWS!"
Vegapunk: "DAMMIT, I KNOW!"
"I'm from Georgia"
Makes sense as to why Mary Geoise is up on top of the red line. It wasn't about holding power over people. It was to escape a world ending flood and they knew this whole time
The suits they wear also make more sense. Its like some diving gear

I view the conversation between the Gorosei and Akainu destroying the ship going like this:
“Sakasuki, destroy the evacuation ship!”
“Already did.”
“Wait…what?”
“I already did. There could have been a scholar on it.”
“…Good work. When a position is available, you will be the next admiral.”

@@dwarffin392That's after getting to know them. Before he took every opportunity to advance because he wanted to remake the Marines in his image.
The Franky being a ship comment was a reference to his wanted poster being the sunny now
I think that "do not assume that the ones who strike me down are evil" was about the Strawhats and Luffy, who *probably* are going to be framed for his death by the WG and not Saturn.
Very good point.
'probably' like there's any chance the government dont try manipulate this into "straw hat is EVIL and killed our greatest scientist who we loved so dearly"
I also think it will turn out to be in favor of the Strawhats even if it wasnt really Vegapunk intention when he said that.
Yes, this is what comes to my mind when I read it.
Did Vegapunk record the message before or after the Strawhats got there? Because I don't think he knew they were coming and Shaka and Pythagoras would have been dead already by the time York would've been dealt with.
Something just clicked, and I think we might have had it backwards. Lulusia got blasted and the sea level rose, and so we assumed that was what caused it. But what if it's the other way around. What if Imu knew there was about to be a severe sea level increase that would sink multiple islands, and so created a new sinkhole to vent the water. Wiping out an entire kingdom... and also postponing the end of the world.
If so, I think that might be what Vegapunk is getting at with the good/evil thing. Imu is committing atrocities to maintain their power, but also using that power to keep the end of the world from occurring. I could see the situation taking a somewhat Xenoblade 3 route; the villains are absolutely in the wrong and doing horrible things to innocent people, but they do have a good reason for it and while the heroes winning would ultimately be for the best, it will still lose some of the upsides of what the villains had going, and even the best case scenario isn't without collateral damage. It won't be an "Imu did nothing wrong" but it could very well be "I can see why Imu would think this is the only viable course of action and why some people would support it."
A choice, we were too soon
But the sea levels still rose. Either the plan really isn't working or they don't care and are actively trying to cause it
the sea is vast, why specifically lulusia, he couldve created a sinkhole anywhere across a the sea
@@shubhamdhokare765 it was close
"They have rocket powered spears, but that's because of the birds." Sentences like this are why i love one piece.
This episode might mark the first time I’ve ever seen GLR get his review out before Tekking. As much as I like Liam it really emphasized that I need my Tekking fix.
Liam's videos are way to short lol
the scanslation came out while Tekking was asleep but Liam was in the middle of his day
Liam click baits and trys way to hard to get subs and likes. I'm not sure if I've ever heard tekking to subscribe. Liam literally spends the first 5 minutes doing some dumb game to try and get you to sub. It's kinda annoying. You got over a million subs there's no need to click bait titles and spend time convincing people to sub
Liam is ok but I've gotten so used to tekkings voice and personality. He is goated.
Liam’s are what I always watch before the chapter to get a gist while waiting for it to drop, then always save tekking’s for after reading
Aqua Laguna getting worse every year...
Shandora River losing it's force as it's getting overpowered by the Sea...
How long has Oda been cooking this up!?
I guess he had this idea pretty early on. Maybe as early as designing the geography of One Piece.
Those were the cities directly impacted within their water route. It'll be lackluster with how the world sinking nuke is handled.
When I heard Dr. Vegapunk that the "world is going to sink" my first thought was, "Mariejois will be destoryed, all the nations will rebuild their nations on top the Red Line, and the world will truly become One Piece".
Dayuuuuuum
Chicken Little: THE SKY IS FALLING
Vegapunk: The world is sinking
The duality of humanity
Water seven being converted into a floating island gets a lot of relevancy at the moment!
The world is sinking, Meanwhile water seven: First time?
Also water seven after it becomes a floating island: I dont see the issue here.
Actually tekking and a lot of people are forgetting that cities, especially as dense as W7, need to import a majority of their food. No land to grow crops. Sure there is fishing, but i dont think that would feed the entire population of W7 or Baratie
@@nicorobin3691With Water Seven you are correct. But the actual "population" of the Baratie is just a few dozen chefs. Fishing suffices for them. But yes, W7 will have quite a problem.
noahs ark thats sitting at the bottom of fishman island too
The foreshadowing with Water 7 and them building on top of the houses that had flooded is insane. Geography really is everything
That was more like a nod to Venice. I don't think oda planned that ahead
@@alihordaYeah, but who’s to know, right. 😅
A thought, if the oceans have been continuously rising for ages, is it possible that at one point impel down wasnt underwater and started out as a tower on ground before the sea rose around it? You always did bring up the question how on earth did they build that thing down to the sea bed
Ah yes, back in the days when it was still Impel Up and the worst convicts were held at level 1 and the ones who aren’t that bad at level 6.
@ALookInto587 that would make a lot of sense. Lesser criminals in the bigger part of the tower as there are more. Then worse criminals up with less occupants. But now that it is deep under water it is where worse criminals go now
35:55 I think he assumes that someone who did not and would not kill him would get the blame from the government. So as in "the person the government or media says killed me" vs who actually killed him, he preemptively is saying to not blindly trust that piece of info that is going to get spread afterwards, in case it's someone entirely innocent that gets blamed
Makes sense!
my thoughts as well, as he knows the government isn't going to admit they did it.
Yeah, I thought it either meant Kizaru, who was supposed to kill him, or like you said, he means Luffy who they will claim killed him, like Duzal suspects, and many others will soon.

Bonney using a giant-ish future shows that alot of devil fruits can be utilized at higher degrees of "imagination" and not just Luffy
What do you mean? Devil Fruits have ALWAYS been limited by the creativity and imaginations of their users.
@@andrewdevita629
1. When Luffy gets Gear 5, I actually did not think he was overpowered by the things he can do, but alot of people in the community just assume that he has a broken ability with the only limitation being his stamina...
If you look at other characters abilities you will see that they have less drawbacks... which probably made people overanalyze how insane luffy new powers are...
2. "The Devil fruits have always been limited by the creativity and imagination of their users" is correct for example Doflamingo attaching his strings to clouds to fly or creating a bird cage is really good use of his creativity and imagination.
People seeing what luffy can do makes people think that its all just toony which is true but even doflamingo use of the string string fruit could be seen as cartoony as well which is both again very creative and imaginative.
3. LASTLY:
when bonney used Nika-ish future and was rubber like people were saying she is not actually rubber but rubber-like or there must be drawbacks to her ability because everyone is afraid of characters becoming overpowered. I for one thought it is not overpowering but levels the playing field for alot of other devil fruits meaning that luffy is not strong because of Gear 5th but Luffy is the most creative or imaginative when he is using gear 5th.
The 1st thing I thought about after hearing the world was gonna sink into the ocean was the Gorosei talking about doing another “Cleansing”.
I feel so proud of myself because I came up with the flood theory almost 3 years ago.
Almost every enemy of the World Government had protection from floods.
Wano, Zou, and Elbaf have Geography(TM) in their favor with height or access to something tall.
Alabasta had ties to the World Government.
Fishman Island obviously doesn't fear flooding.
And perhaps most interestingly, Shandora didn't have these defenses and consequently was destroyed. And yet, even after its destruction its gold and Poneglyph were never plundered.
Plus it's why they built mery geoise on top of the red line. Cause they knew it was gonna flood
@@darknesswave100 It conveniently lets there be a way for the WG to "shelter" people while leaving the undesirables to drown.
Which is also what makes pirates and other hostile sailors the biggest threat.
Then. They thought the jaya gold was under water. It could’ve been. The world could’ve risen in sea level. Shandora could’ve sunk to the knock up stream and got shot into the sky. Rather than I’ve always thought it got shot off from sitting at sea level.
@@psychroniamakes me think that purge they were talking about might even be part of that in a round about way. In the bible the flood was basically a restart button that drowned the evil in the world. Oda has been building up to this for years now

The All Blue is coming
Goda really sticks to his transcripts since day 1 haha.
Then, isn’t long ring long island basically a miniature replica/ representation of the world?
It is in fact one big island, but as the water levels rise, it seems like a bunch of independent islands.
How much of the world has already been submerged? How many islands are actually connected and formed full continents?
If geko moria could make an island ship, Iceberg should have zero problems.
Actually, how on earth did he do that?

Why did i actually think tekking was going to wait 10 min at the start
It is quite sad, that the arc Oda basically created an island reflecting the style of Dragonball when toriyama died. Punk records is a remix of Kami's palace.
That being said, it could just be the hair in the jar, but doesn't vegapunks brain look awakened?
alot of west city energy
Given the last panel here, surprised we didn't get a Water 7 cameo, since Iceberg was planning on making the city gloat and all.
Wano having those unreasonably tall walls holding in its water makes sense now
Have played chess and used the king to attack. Got pretty close to winning but mainly because they were surprised I was committing to the bit
I've never been edged so hard by a manga in my life, didn't realize One Piece was a Doujin.
😂🎉
😶
_never?_
What if the celestial dragons aren’t wearing space suits but scuba suits????
They’ve been prepared for what’s coming
💀
An alternative, they are always wearing them because that what their ancestors wore when they first "settled".
This alternative hinges on the water level rising having already had happened before and may be connected to Imu's "cleansing"
First thing I thought of was Hachi's cover story. It certainly explains why there were cities on the bottom of the sea.
Second thing I thought of was how? I mean, are there ice caps that are constantly melting? Are weapons like the mother flame dispersing the ocean around the islands? Is the moon being so close actually causing water levels to rise continually?
Either way, I can't wait for the answer.
20:09 I thought the whole sencing telepathic waves thing Mars was doing was just "the voice of all things."
One thing about the Gorousei is that I feel like they still have some humanity in them. Remember how Saturn acted when IMU ordered the erasure of Lulusia. He wasn't happy, he wasn't nonchalant about it, you could see that he felt the weight of that decision.
I believe that Imu has been corrupting the Gorousei throughout the years, making them do evil things more and more until they can only act like they do to not break down. Only by detaching themselves from the rest and being as cold and inhumane as possible can they truly obey IMU without living in remorse and guilt.
Wano had huge borders to escape the first flood, in the void century, rain water is what filled the the original wano, it all connects
Exactly!!!!
Zunesha being so tall as well
The tekking kirito haircut was the real lurking legend
xD Tekk got the basic anime protagonist cut. His bed head goes crazy.
All of Mars's talking has me wondering about when vegapunk's devil fruit will reincarnate. Is it tied to the brain? The heart? His body is already dead so has the fruit reincarnated already?
First thing that came up to me was: 'oh, so that is why Mariejoa was set up on top of red line.' because Imu knew and now I realize that every royals who participate in a reverie should get that too. Not the Im part, but it'll certainly give them food for thought.
When the chapter ended the first thing I thought of was how what happened to lulusia caused the seas to rise.
Idk why, but for some reason, in my mind, the moment vegapunk revealed that, It felt as if "One Piece" changed from a Shonen to a Lovecraftian horror.
An interesting thought that could warrant a video from you, Tekking-
If the world ends up under water, all of the Straw Hat's individual dreams are either ruined or twisted in a really bad way.
Edit-
I also find it interesting that the first group we see reacting to the news from Vegapunk is the marine soldiers. Not entirely sure why Oda wanted that, but there it is lol
It would actually help Sanji.
Look outside.
You found the All Blue.
Robin with the bongcloud opening in the cover page 😮
The first 2 things I wondered after hearing Vegapunks message are:
1. If Imu (aka Umi) is the spirit of the ocean who wants to drown the world eventually.
2. The second thought that occurred to me (but that I do not personally believe but it would be interesting) is if the One Piece world is somehow underground or is a smaller piece of a much bigger world that the celestial dragons isolated in order to control. (Like in scrapped princess or Genshin impact) and because of what the CDs did eventually the one-piece "world" is doomed.
Then the "moons" of One Piece" are just floating islands within the same "world" that the main One Piece world is in. That explains how Enru and those robot things could fly to the "moon" and how Enru and the "space pirates" could breathe there.
The "sun" in the One Piece world could be an artificial sun and the original mother flame. This also explains how Fugitora can summon meteors so quickly as there is some rock "ceiling" above the One Piece world's sky (that is not visible to the citizens) to pull the "meteors" from.
Your second point is really interresting
@@theomnipotentplayer3231 Thank you.
Tekking was MADE for this chapter, this is his moment, POP OFF MATT!
I think Vegapunk was talking about Luffy, not saturn regarding the “good or evil.” I’m like 99.99% certain of this. It’s a PR move to help Luffy, not a nuanced take on the spider who ruined Kuma’s life with no remorse whatsoever.
Vegapunk knows the world government is going to say someone else killed vegapunk. They’re going to say Luffy did it. He knows they’d never take responsibility for it. He could SAY they did it but then the gorosei could say he was forced to say it under duress.
Is that possible time-wise though?
Because Mr. Shot in the Face is in this message perfectly fine, so the recording can't be super recent.
Reminder that there have already been several theories about the sea level rising before this reveal
For a long time too
Happy belated birthday tekking again!!
Vegapunk is referring to Luffy when he's talking about not judging the person killing him, because he knows, as a genius should, that the elders are going to pin Vegapunk's death on the Strawhats, specifically Luffy.
I like that this chapter basically calls back to the conversation between nekomushi and Robin. Where neko warns Robin that everyone will be after bc of her knowledge and Robin replies that she has wonderful friends to protect. Well the straw hats has finally cashed that check. All there is left is for NAMI to rob the five elders of their money
Keep up the great work and videos tekking love the video

Great reaction as always by the way ; )
Great video once again Tekking
What's interesting is that when Vegapunk says to not consider his killer as being evil... While we who have more knowledge promptly know that he may be referring to the World Government or someone from that organization, to someone from the outside, who only knows what the newspaper says, this has another meaning.
Duval hinted me to that. After all, he noted that to the common citizen Luffy the Yonkou was holding Vegapunk hostage. If Vegapunk is being held hostage by Luffy and the Government is going to Egghead to supposedly "rescue" Vegapunk, then people will think that Luffy was the one that killed Vegapunk.
...and this was why Duval looked confused, because he knows Luffy wouldn't do that kind of thing. Therefore, Luffy is the target of that good/evil sentence to the wider audience.
I FUCKING CALLED IT, I TOLD MY SISTER THAT BY THE LOGIC OF AQUA LAGUNA, THE WHOLE WORLD IS FLOODING SLOWLY, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
We need another video about this chapter this is huge
I just love how Tekking edits the video: when he knows that he is getting overboard with some puns and humour he just cuts the video and goes serious mode into the story :)
One Piece chapter review score 7.8/10 too much water, jokes aside have other people begun to notice earlier in the story about sea levels rising. Vivi talking about ocean current pushing back against the fresh water, Aqua Laguna becoming worse each year?
This chapter proved Vegapunk actually thought this whole thing out with multiple contingency plans. He tried to help the world in the end and his moral compass reflects that. He doesn’t feel he can say if the WG are good or evil. I’m sure he thinks of himself as the same. Hence why he worked with them. Ohara lives on because of people like him, Saul, Kuzan, etc… A scientist that wanted to advance the world and provide free energy. Thank you Vegapunk!
Wano having the underwater city is like a proof of concept of new red line ocean rising theories
I'm gonna go feral if Robin gets a "you took everything from me" moment against Saturn. If what she did to Spandam and Black Maria was bad, imagine what she'd do to one of the Five Elders - the ones directly responsible for taking away her home, her only friends, and 20 years of her life 🥶. Potential awakening trigger, maybe? 🤔
I'm surprised Oda didn't drew Brook as a Rook on the chessboard given how much he loves his puns
My personal notes about the chapter:
- Color Spread: Pirate King's Gambit
- Safe to say Vegapunk's brain is super massive. Just the base alone is wider than an entire person. No wonder he had to lop it off.
- Ha, even some pirates at Hachinosu are interested in what Vegapunk's gonna say.
- I was saying Nusjuro's hybrid form could afford to look more skeletal, and here he is turning his head into a skull. Cool.
- Eyy, Duval.
- Even Caesar is upset.
- Morgans: "This news is too big for me!"
- Brook cut off a leg, woo.
Just to comment on the cover page. I feel like this is a reference to Code Geass. One of LeLouche's best quotes while he is playing a game of chess is of course, "If the king does not lead, how can he expect his subordinates to follow?" Love that scene so I immediately kind of assumed it was taken from that.
Guess oda awakened his blue ball blue ball fruit. Because now it's just him toying with us
Vegapunk's brain in the tank makes Gremmy look like a joke
I don't see the comparison here x.x
Still looks smaller than Mother Brain from Metroid
