He probably could have kept fighting but valued his crew more so made a deal with the world government to spare their lives. When he was doing this lily helped him leave poneglyphs around and thats why the gorosei despise her so much. After his journey of leaving the poneglyphs he went to wano, the country that isnt governed by the world government and lived the rest of his life. I don’t read, watch or even follow one piece. But I somehow was introduced to the mythos and I’ve looked into it a bunch and found it fascinating. Came across your videos awhile ago and I’ve gotta say, you’ve convinced me! Amazing production and analysis.
Actually, just a thought... Luffy's generals all relate to the same thing as the ancient weapons. Sanji's mom is Sora - sky - Uranus Zoro's mom is Tera - earth - Pluton Jinbe is the first son of the sea - Poseidon And it makes sense for Zoro and Jinbe to commandeer Pluton and Poseidon. Zoro is from the land of Wano, and Wano is where Pluton hides. Jinbe knows Shirahoshi personally and would be the best to work with her undersea. That leaves Sanji to commander Uranus. But from that thread, would Uranus be in the North Blue? Or with Germa? (after listening, eta: so Elbaf, how does that connect to Sanji though?)
I can't believe I still didn't do IMU=YMIR after already 270 versions of that dude lmao. Great idea, and makes sense, so I'll do at least one. Thanks for sharing those ideas. -The Imu Guy
I like the theory. Regarding "Urdabrunnr", I think Oda initially might have wanted to make Skypiea One Piece's "Urdabrunnr". As we know, Oda himself has said that he initially didnt think One Piece would go as long as it does, so I think when he got to Skypiea he had already made some parallels to Urdabrunnr but then decided to keep the show going and changed the skript a little. Some parallels: -highest layer = in the sky -3 maidens live at the well = the three Skypiean races: Birkans, Shandians and Skypieans -maidens that peer into the future = the Mantora that the priests of Skypiea as well as the little girl from the Shandians possessed, which we know would call just an advanced form of observation haki. Maybe the little girl could have played an even more important role in a parallel universe? -runes = well there was one porneglyph there I suppose but probably that was already partly changed. My guess is in a more shortened version One Piece would have still visited Elbaf as one of the last islands, since that was mentioned before Skypiea but maybe there wouldnt have been a Wano Kuni or even maybe even no Zou (if the need of road porneglyphs hadnt been a thing and since Zou was heavily intertwined with Wano). So like, after Skypiea where they had acquired knowledge of the first ancient weapon Uranus, they would continue to learn about Pluton on Water 7 and about Poseidon on Fishman Island but after Fishman they could have more or less already set sails to Elbaf to collect all 3 ancient weapons and destroy the red line. But either way, since One Piece was such a success and there was no need to finish it fast we got to see far more of the One Piece world and a potentially altered in which the strawhats learned about the ancient weapons. Thats just my theory... to your theory LOL. Also fun fact: In the German intro of the Skypiea arc ("Übers Meer) they also said that there is a "valuable treasure above the skies and only the one who acquires it can become king of the pirates", although in the original Japanese version (Bon Voyage) there is no mention of that so they took some translation liberty in it (in the original they just say "a treasure at the end of the sea and the one that claims it will be king of the pirates" which could just as well mean laugh tale). Also thats why I dont think we will get to see any return of Urouge, as some had theorized since he is so far pretty much the only supernova that didnt have any friendly or hostile relation to Luffy and his crew. (or maybe they eventually acquire Uranus and place it on Skypiea with the help of Urouge to place it "in the sky"??? similarly to how you said, that the redline will be destroyed from above, below and at sea level idk)
This seems super connected, thank you for pointing this out Hidden, you got great theories and this is for sure one of my favorites, it’s so cool that One Piece is so deep like this. W
Peak theory as always! I know you probably won’t see this and have your own theories in the works but I would love to see a video like the Koby one recently but with Sabo. I think he is super important in the story but people are pushing him to the side like Koby. The fact that he is the first person to see the Gorosei forms shows how vital of a character he is in the final saga! Keep up the great vids as we come to the end of Egghead!
I was really worried for a split second that this was an april fools joke and then I immediately felt relief when I looked at your pinned comment. "Oh thank god, because I had been craving an Elbaf vid"
I feel like your spot on. Don't forget in fishman island arc, the fishman fortuneteller foresaw Luffy destroying fishman island and she said she's never been wrong. That's why there originally scared of straw hats. Luffy will def liberate fishman island by destroying it.
Excellent theory! I feel like I need to brush up on my Norse mythology and listen to the Poetic Edda before this break is over, you never know what Oda will pull out.
Really enjoyed the piece at the end talking about Ymir being taken down by Oden. Made me think of how much Luffy paralleled Oden in Wano. That plus the three brothers being Will, Wisdom and Spirit with Luffy carrying everyone's will, Sabo being wise beyond his years when he was young and Ace... being there in spirit...
Been taking a break from watching one piece content. But I’m so happy to be coming back and seeing that your videos are doing so well. I remember watching the first ones years ago and knowing that you’d be able to make it.
Dang, this is a really compelling theory. I still can’t believe we’ll probably end up on elbaf this arc. Something else that goes with this theory that’s interesting is that ragnarok is a cycle. Given that we know that the lunarians were the red lines previous inhabitants, I wouldn’t be suprised if ragnorok has played out before and the difference this time will be breaking the cycle of history. This theory makes me wonder if joyboy was attempting to do the same with the ancient weapons, and was either betrayed my Imu or they were never fighting together but imu ended up taking over the redline after joyboy drove out the lunarians. If either is the case, I’m sure Blackbeard will attempt to do the same and then luffy will succeed where joyboy failed especially given him trying to get in good with the world government. But maybe that’s just my hope that Blackbeard will be the final antagonist lol. Anyway, great vid as always!
I've been intrigued by Sisyphys the last couple weeks, the man cursed to forever roll a boulder up a mountain only to restart at the bottom each day. Makes me kind of wonder if other Nika Fruit users made it far on the Grand Line and if maybe one did awaken near wherever the Iron Oas was being stored 200 years ago. It didn't awaken when Luffy got Gear 5 on Wano a week or two sail away, so maybe Zunesha couldn't hear the time it awakened 200 years ago before that Joyboy was killed and the fruit went to a new user. Also how the WG got it +/- 13 years ago, they finally got the user to Impel Down or something and had the only fruit for a long distance upstairs in the guard house until it flipped into a new fruit. I also gotta say I still think Blackbeard is the final antagonist, seems like Luffy and Blackbeard will fight for the power vacuum that is about to appear in the world. Plus there is a part of me that thinks Blackbeard needs to WG to tell him where the Man Marked by Flames is for the Final Poneglyph which is why Catarina touching Saturn matters, and it also matters that the last time we saw Leffitte was when they asked a recently recruited Kuzan who the Man Marked by Flames is.(who I think is the Warlord Ace beat before Luffy took off, Ace would have burnt that Warlord correct?)
just realized that punching a hole through and destroying the red line is a very luffy-like idea, something so simple that luffy tends to come up with as a solution to even political/life-threatening problems
I never made the leap to read the ridiculous back-catalog of OP, but I've been following the story from a certain point. Your theories are some of the best, for sure (and your channel's theme is perfect "chill"). I'm really looking forward to the answers that seem only just around the corner now. I'm sure the traditions of the Giants include a LOT of good lore. After all, Elbaf | fablE - what fable? Oh, only the very tale that the world government has wanted to keep very quiet for generations. Vegapunk, Ohara, etc knew the truth of the past, but only the Giants might know both the past AND what is fated to happen in the future (assuming it's not just a Norse naming scheme.. but it's Oda, so there will be some actual overlap, and it won't be just surface-deep). You've earned my subscription. Keep doing what you do :)
I have this general rule when using real world mythology to theorise about One Piece, which is that Oda has to have directly referenced that mythology in the story of One Piece itself. That way, not only can you be sure Oda knows about it, but it also means that Oda potentially wants you to know that he knows about it, because it's a hint. So it's significant to me that nearly every major part of Norse mythology gets a reference in some point in the story. Kaido's "Ragnarok" attack. Moria's "Shadow's Asgard" attack. The "serpent soaked in blood" being a clear reference to Jormungandr and more generally the fact that we have Elbaf, an island themed entirely around Norse mythology, which Oda has been building up for nearly the entire span of the series. At this point, Norse mythology is definitely a major, major hint for how the rest of the overarching story of One Piece is gonna pan out.
Hidden, You're the goat. You're one of the EXTREMELY few who actually gets how Oda works. I've watched so many videos and theories, this is one of the very few times that a theory sounds exactly like how Oda thinks and makes OP. I love Par but come on... Vander Decken being a mushroom? This video is peak. Ty Hidden!
Alright this might be a crazy stretch but Kaido used a move called Conquer of Three Worlds: Ragnaraku, so what if once Luffy conquers the three “worlds” as in the locations that the weapons are in Ragnarok begins, Poseidon is in Fishman Island which became Luffy’s territory, and u can argue he conquered Wano too by beating Kaido and Orochi, so next Luffy will go to Elbaf, Shanks’ territory and either win it in a Davy Back fight or just helping them like he always does thereby conquering it, this kinda hinges on Kaido’s knowledge of the Joyboy prophecy so it’s possible it inspired the name of his move
I like how you laid out your theory man, good video. Especially the Imu tie in to Ymir. What do we think happened to the Egg Roger had? Because there is a myth in Slavic mythology about the Buyan Bird protecting a giant tree, maybe the Adam tree on Elbaf? The 3 Fates that you said sit at the top of Yggdrasil at a well also appear in Greek Mythology, and lately I've been really thinking about the 3 times the Iron Oars seems to have awoken 800/200/now. Could we describe the challenge of Luffy(really the Nika Fruit) reaching Laugh Tale at the end of the Grand Line like a climbing a mountain? Because for some reason the myth of Sisyphys pushing a boulder up the mountain day after day only to start again at the bottom has become very intriging to me. Especailly after we found out the fruit hadn't been captured in 800 years by the WG until about 13 years ago right? So what if it kept getting eaten by different users who all tried to make it to Laugh Tale toeither finish what was started or avenge the original Joyboy, because Zoan fruits can carry some will of their own too right? Also makes me wonder if Blackbeard has a "3 fates" Devil Fruit, or combine it with Ceberus Zoan fruit for 3 heads and voila. Thats how he can consume multiple fruits too, and his faces/teeth look different and he never sleeps becase he swaps between heads in human form but we haven't seen his true DF form yet.
Just stumbled upon your channel and can I tell you, from the calming intro to the way you put your video together the information and the outcome man I had to subscribe, great job man
Great theory. I think the Red Line theory is 100% right. I’m curious as to how exactly it was created though. So much potential there. Also excited to see how much of this lines up with whatever we get in the void century reveal. Nice job and high quality though!
Really well put. None of it seems far fetched either and Oda will always meld and blend different ethos as the story goes. Exciting to see how much it matches up!
GREAT VIDEO! I have a couple of facts and thoughts that build on this First of all, coincidentally (not) both FMI and Marigeoise (Asgard) and located 10.000 meters below and above the sea level, which makes the island and human (Midgard) at EXCATLY the middle between those 2 points. Also you said that once the redline is broken there will come fire and then floods. I think it is obvious Noa will be used to save the humans, why else would a giant ship be located in FMI where most everyone can swim? The real role of Poseidon is to control the seabeast to move the Noa and save the other races, not to destroy the redline!
Something to note is that before Ragnorok is fimbelwintur, which is really cold, work Aokiji into that however you will. Also Baldur’s gotta die, dunno who that could be or what metaphor would match fhat
I would say Shanks is Baldur. Their descriptions match. Shanks last name is close to Baldurs mother’s name. Baldur was pretty cool with the giants it seem as even they wept when he died And he died due to Loki , whose name is used in one piece as the giants king or prince. Shanks equal (in my opinion) would be a mix of Tyr and Baldur
10:56 shit hits hard when you realize the five elders are also named after planets and the ancient weapons are also named after them, Poseidon's roman name is Neptune but we already have it as the king's name.
So I have an interesting idea regarding Elbaf. We know the Giants see Joyboy/Nika as a god (the sun god), but the giants have more than one god, one of which is Elbaf, who is said to honourably judge their battles. My theory is that the "god" Elbaf was a member of Joyboy's crew, specifically his version of Usopp, who was one the "bravest warrior of the sea"
@10:20 could be why crocodile wanted pluton, maybe he already knows what’s its meant for, I think he was a slave as a child correct? So revenge against the dragons
There is no way you making a Jormungandr theory(the thumbnail looks fire). Hidden you always make the best theories fr. I still remember your promise though. You pinky promised that thugshaker video better be out soon.
8:32 I don't know if you mention it, but while Luffy could be the one to destroy the Red Line, I feel it'd be more of a set up for Usopp. This is based off the the Usopp Mjnoir theory, it'd make sense for him to be the one to destroy/fight the red line. If I remember correctly in Norse Mythos, Thor dies after destroying Jörmungandr, so it'd also tie into the Usopp dying as a brave warrior theory.
I hope this channel blows up off this post! Never had you cross my screen but glad I found it, great vibe to your video and amazing intro/editing. Keep going man! You’re onto something great
Imagine if Oda tweeted today “GUYS! IM CANCELING MY MONTH BREAK!” Or even worse… “Guys, one piece will be going to a tri-monthly schedule similar to black clover”
I really love this video, recently started rewatching one piece from the beginning and have been seeing awesome parallels aswell, didn't see the connection between Arlong park and the red line tho! I wanna share a theory I've thought of: - I think Imu might not actually be a just a villain, but also the princess that has been captured from the blue sea to do some work for the world government. Luffy saving Nami would in a sense be a paralell to the end of the story. I'd guess Imu is pressured to comply at the promise of buying freedom for the blue sea she had been living in before she was taken up to her high castle tower. Probably something about history, rewriting history, keeping track of history, something like that. We have not a single time in the series seen a historian, and the archeologists on Ohara were the only scholars close to that. - I believe the ancient weapons to have been sisters who wanted to go explore the forest together. Shirahoshi wanted to go visit the sea forest, locked inside to be safe. Imu might also want to go see a forest again, which was down at the blue sea, but is locked on the red line where no tree grows .The third sister, now called Pluton, was of the sky and a lunarian or burkan or other type of sky race that came down from the sky for the fairy vearth to grow plants. All of the princesses wanted to be free to explore the forest their farmer friend they called Joyboy always went to to adventure and told them stories about, but they were locked inside and couldn't enjoy nature. - Devil fruits were called Dream Fruits, the D. apethet means Dreams and the person that betrayed Joyboy is of the same people as Blackbeard and Cavendish are that can't sleep/can't DREAM, which is why they betrayed Joyboy, greedily taking away the Dream Fruits. In hopes to shroud the history, the name was changed. I have some more, let me know what you think!
if its not mentioned in the video, you should look up the Cosmic Egg, its other name is the World Egg. it has imu and nika vibes as well as links several mythos like ancient egypt gods with the jormungandr
you should also look into the World Elephant, part of the hindu mythos. its a bit of a rabbit hole but you will find similarities to how yggdrasil is comparable to the redline/eve tree
yes guys it's a real video lol

new hidden vids are always the greatest way to relax and have fun lmao
Some coffee, and a new hidden video during the long break? Made my day better :)
Sanji's mom is Sora - sky - Uranus
Zoro's mom is Tera - earth - Pluton
Jinbe is the first son of the sea - Poseidon
And it makes sense for Zoro and Jinbe to commandeer Pluton and Poseidon. Zoro is from the land of Wano, and Wano is where Pluton hides. Jinbe knows Shirahoshi personally and would be the best to work with her undersea.
That leaves Sanji to commander Uranus. But from that thread, would Uranus be in the North Blue? Or with Germa? (after listening, eta: so Elbaf, how does that connect to Sanji though?)
i don’t usually watch anymore theory videos but when i see hidden island posted i always gotta save it for later
I can't believe I still didn't do IMU=YMIR after already 270 versions of that dude lmao.
Great idea, and makes sense, so I'll do at least one.
Thanks for sharing those ideas.

Hidden the GOAT! Unreal level of research to make all these parallels. Sheesh!
Babe don't make dinner, Hidden cooked again 🗣️🗣️🗣️💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
I like the theory. Regarding "Urdabrunnr", I think Oda initially might have wanted to make Skypiea One Piece's "Urdabrunnr". As we know, Oda himself has said that he initially didnt think One Piece would go as long as it does, so I think when he got to Skypiea he had already made some parallels to Urdabrunnr but then decided to keep the show going and changed the skript a little.
Some parallels:
-highest layer = in the sky
-3 maidens live at the well = the three Skypiean races: Birkans, Shandians and Skypieans
-maidens that peer into the future = the Mantora that the priests of Skypiea as well as the little girl from the Shandians possessed, which we know would call just an advanced form of observation haki.
As I grew up as a young little Swede, I read Vicke Viking. He was a young viking who solved problems using clever ideas and tricks.
“Dickhead City”
That completely caught me off guard, I snorted my coffee
So good right!
Elbaf is about to be the biggest lore drop in One Piece history
The intro is so melancholy and calming - elbaf is the most anticipated arc by far just like this video haha - brilliant analysis per usual.
7:10 absolutely wild take
Been taking a break from watching one piece content.
Vinland saga’s Mangaka, Makoto Yukimura was also inspired by Vicke the viking
just realized that punching a hole through and destroying the red line is a very luffy-like idea, something so simple that luffy tends to come up with as a solution to even political/life-threatening problems
Zoom out, think bigger
what a video, what a intro, what a story telling, warraaaaa W channel. How come you havent got recognitions that you deserve yet???!!
Your theory videos are too GOATED. Amazing 🔥🔥🔥
bro might as well change his bar into a hibachi bc we’re just here to watch this man cook atp 🤦🏽♂️
Ty Hidden!
I love the parallel you draw between Arlong Park and Mary Geoise
You present your theories in a manner better than some older One Piece Theory channels! Kudoos!
That intro is straight heat.
24:19 BingoBongo doesn't sound far fetched anymore.
That jazz music from intro is so soothing calm
Really well put. None of it seems far fetched either and Oda will always meld and blend different ethos as the story goes. Exciting to see how much it matches up!
Holy christ that blood soaked serpent is so absolutely the Red Line. I feel like such a dope for not realizing that.
Hidden! You truly are The Greatest Man Ever Made!
First of all I absolutely love your intros can tell a lot of work was put into it and that was a nice Matt pat nod at the end
GREAT VIDEO!
I have a couple of facts and thoughts that build on this
First of all, coincidentally (not) both FMI and Marigeoise (Asgard) and located 10.000 meters below and above the sea level, which makes the island and human (Midgard) at EXCATLY the middle between those 2 points.
16:06 I think the treasure doffy was talking about could be the devil fruit tree, since he was distributing smile
Something to note is that before Ragnorok is fimbelwintur, which is really cold, work Aokiji into that however you will.
Also Baldur’s gotta die, dunno who that could be or what metaphor would match fhat
Luffy died fighting kaido? 🤔
@@bossdozz Ohh, that's a real possibility!
I would say Shanks is Baldur. Their descriptions match. Shanks last name is close to Baldurs mother’s name.
Baldur was pretty cool with the giants it seem as even they wept when he died
And he died due to Loki , whose name is used in one piece as the giants king or prince.
Shanks equal (in my opinion) would be a mix of Tyr and Baldur
The parallels between Shanks and the Norse god Tyr are pretty solid too
The hidden island dropped another Ramadan feast
الله اكبر
This is one of the greatest one piece theories I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot!
videos always a vibe
10:56 shit hits hard when you realize the five elders are also named after planets and the ancient weapons are also named after them, Poseidon's roman name is Neptune but we already have it as the king's name.
Just subscribed and this is my first video of yours. This is really cool 😎
Man, you were cooking with this one Hidden! A lot of this makes too much sense!
@10:20 could be why crocodile wanted pluton, maybe he already knows what’s its meant for, I think he was a slave as a child correct? So revenge against the dragons
With this beat and the track, kinda sounds like he’s going off about One Piece, droppin heat 🔥
There is no way you making a Jormungandr theory(the thumbnail looks fire). Hidden you always make the best theories fr. I still remember your promise though. You pinky promised that thugshaker video better be out soon.
first vid i watched that’s not april fools 🙏🏽
Now I've gotten all hyped on top of withdrawals... Life is pain.
Withdrawals from Percs ? Fent?
That opening music goes unspeakably hard oh my goddd. ❤❤❤ liked, loved, subscribed and joined
Tbh the Greek mythology in one piece sounds so elite oda sensei gone make this go so hard
I dreaded this to be an April fools video
Awesome video I love viking lore as well!
His intro is probably the best intro I’ve seen on TH-cam
8:32 I don't know if you mention it, but while Luffy could be the one to destroy the Red Line, I feel it'd be more of a set up for Usopp. This is based off the the Usopp Mjnoir theory, it'd make sense for him to be the one to destroy/fight the red line. If I remember correctly in Norse Mythos, Thor dies after destroying Jörmungandr, so it'd also tie into the Usopp dying as a brave warrior theory.
This is the biggest Docking reference in One Piece history. I'm here for it.
This has to be my favorite theory of all time
I hope this channel blows up off this post! Never had you cross my screen but glad I found it, great vibe to your video and amazing intro/editing. Keep going man! You’re onto something great
Ur hidden island intro would be a great addition to the show or a movie or anything like a filler
I'm looking forward to Elbaf and Usopp's Character-Arc!
Hidden dropping a new banger to keep my sanity in check during this long break
My man Hidden Island SPITTIN'
Imagine if Oda tweeted today “GUYS! IM CANCELING MY MONTH BREAK!”
Or even worse… “Guys, one piece will be going to a tri-monthly schedule similar to black clover”
I really love this video, recently started rewatching one piece from the beginning and have been seeing awesome parallels aswell, didn't see the connection between Arlong park and the red line tho!
I wanna share a theory I've thought of:
- I think Imu might not actually be a just a villain, but also the princess that has been captured from the blue sea to do some work for the world government.
Hidden Island must be taking private lessons from Sanji cause MY MAN COOKED SO HARD!!
Wow, today is my first day on vacation and what could make it even better than the new Hoddens video😊
The man takes no breaks even when manga on extended break.
