Finally tekking unlocked the endless tier list content
only thing I didn't like was how with certain characters he based them off strength or how they're stronger than other characters, when the title says suggests overall nen ability usage.

We see the girl born and grow and call herself kite. If his brain wasn't eaten and his powers transferred his soul to her. What's the difference? "He's reborn as a chimera" vs. "His soul possessed a chimera." Either way, the result is one😂

There’s nothing in the story to indicate that was the case. However we do have something to indicate it was his power that resulted in him being in the chimera child’s body. And I didn’t say it was a soul transfer. Idk what it was. Just that it was a result of his nen ability
@yudodis333 Since we both agree that, yes, kite is a chimera now, which is the main point, the how of it is another matter which i'm fine with either way.
If I remember correctly, Kurapika's Emperor Time has to be deactivated manually. So when he went unconscious for a few hours, it was still running. I guess that can be considered the draw back. If he isn't careful, he will kill himself faster than he predicted.
In universe its a drawback, but narrative-wise it really isn't. We as the readers will basically never see the consequences of over using Emperor Time. If we did, it would be during an epilogue or something were it wouldn't matter where Kurapika ended up anyways since the story is already over.

I've personally believed sometime he ends up dying before making it to the dark continent. The whale ship is like DESIGNED to end his story. Putting both the scarlet eyes and phantom troupe in one place.

My boy Abengane is an easy S tier, not only is he one of the few exorsists around he can actually remove anything setting himself up for life. Everyone knows they might need and exorsist in the future so nobody is ever going to fuck with him or risk getting every single strong nen user with a brain going after them. He found a niche and does as good as is possible.
I feel like you're not counting Gon right before they see Pitou. Morel was sweating bullets. He knew if Gon hit him, he was not surviving. And the amount of wind that it kicked up was similar in strength to the Big Bang meteor. Uvo's attack.
This is why Tekking insisted on more than one Gon. Gon was pouring malice into his fists that made him lethal even before he monsterized, but end of series Gon doesn't even qualify as a Nen user.
We're still talking about a nen ability though.
Rock has a huge wind-up as a drawback, and coupled in with the malice, the resulting attack was really powerful.
That's not to say that Gon himself; or his nen capabilities; were any more impressive than it had been in the past though.

@@maxlee8780exactly this. Nanika reverted him back to a point before he learned to control his Nen, so he’d have to relearn it all over again. I honestly don’t understand how little EVERYONE misses this blatant plot point.
Nanika didn't rewind him back to the point before he learned nen. If you trained and got his nen back, he would be at the same level of Mastery he was before he lost it. He already lost his nen when he finished his transformation.

For those wondering Kurapika’s power is 1 second equals 1 hour. If his upper limit is 2 hours then that turns into 7200 seconds which when divided by 24 hours in a day is 300 days. So each 2 hours costs Kurapika nearly a year of his life. So given that in mind, if you want to be generous and say Kurapika has 100 years to live. He’s around 18 when he gained his ability. So he has roughly around 80 uses of his ability at full time limit before he dies.
Cookie is a conjurerer ability, but Biskys appearance comes from a subconscious use of specialist that she isnt aware she has accessed i believe.
Bisky's transformation is likely an enhancement ability; even if she is technically making her weaker, controlling physical appearance could fall under enhancement I believe.
She can't use specialist abilities as she is stated to be a transmuter

@realo3503 it's been since it came out that I looked at it but he put in that meruem was already at his max potential and had no more room to grow I believe. But he didn't even have an ability beyond what he took from Youpi and Pouf
@@snowman9631 First thing, Meruem's main ability (which doesn’t have an official classification) is to gain strength from the things he eats and can obtain nen abilities if he consumes enough of them, but one thing that’s not as often talked about is that he often makes those abilities much stronger, like rage blast, and when you look at how strong Meruem's rage blast was as an emission ability, especially compared to Yupi’s version, it’s very obvious why it’s considered the highest level of emission. Second, he reached the highest level of emission, so he still has room to grow in other categories, which is usually the reason people don’t reach their max potential in one category.
@realo3503 I'm aware that his Aura Synthesis to consume others nen is considered and ability, but he didn't develop it. Meruem never came up with his own ability yet got labeled at already reaching max potential.
1:18:00 you're contradicting your rule right there, tekking. The tier list wasn't supposed to be based on strength, remember but purely on the usefulness/effectiveness of the nen abilities, which is why Abengane is A-tier.
When an ability is based in combat, its strength IS its usefulness. I know that Godspeed makes him really fast, and that's really good. But this is basically the modern era. There's still faster means of transportation. Like cars, or motorcycles, or planes. Killua is shown to be slower than all of these. Feitan's power is just better to have in combat, and the other ability of Godspeed is situational at best.
Togashi's chart actually puts Abengane at the very top class of Conjurers. He definitely belongs to A-tier at the bare miniumum.

We can never tell him Transmuters get the Shaft, we cant ask him about all the basics, we cant ask what the Vague Limits of Conjuration are and why a Conjurer cant mimic ALL other Types. Man, the guy won't even reveal Nen-Types, let alone specific Power-Details about DEAD Characters. The moment i heard Meruem is not a Specialist i thought 'OH! It must be strong Manipulation then. It must be. Thus it follows that manipulating a Body into crafting a Hatsu is what Meruem does to himself, Pouf does only to Others and Morena does ot Both Herself AND Others' but hey, t hats unbconfirmed
Tekking usually saves my life but this is on a whole other level
One of the reasons biskey has so much nen to use, is that her nen conjuration, restores more men than it uses. So she can use herself as a nen battery by constantly infusing herself with the excess men that is created from her own conjuration. So give it enough time she could boost her ninth storage to huge potentials.

Honestly, I think Hisoka lost the limb on purpose against Kastro because he wanted to see Machi.
Also, completely unfair to say Shalnark was offscreened by Hisoka, he didn't have his ability because Chrollo was using it against Hisoka in Heavens Arena, that's why he was targetted.
@jpthefisherman Shalnark's ability isn't really good 1v1 anyway. I mean, what? Do you really think he's gonna be able to control Hisoka?Hisoka wouldn't let himself be hit by Shalnark's reciever. There isn't anyone around who he can control. Shalnark gets no diffed even if he goes into that super saiyan mode he had against the random fodder ant. His ability just isnt meant for 1v1 fights.

According to Pitou, the brain is the most nutritious part with the most Nen. It might be possible that Pitou preserved Kite's body as a sparring tool but fed his brain to the Queen.
Honestly Meleoron could be insane in the future. He could only hold his breath for 1-2 minutes during the arc, but that is for sure gonna expand a lot. In real life the longest someone has held their breath is around 25 minutes. Of course that is not during action, but even someone like Tom Cruise was able to hold his breath for 6-7 minutes filming a very extreme action scene and he is 50 and not an athlete. Even by real life standards he could improve a lot, but by HxH standards it’s a completely different ball game. Even people in that world have much much higher physical capabilities than real world people and he is a chimera ant, which are even stronger physically from birth. He can now also train with Morel, who has the best lung capacity in the series and his powers also revolve that, so he knows how to increase it. With all that I wouldn’t say it’s a stretch that Meleoron could be able to hold his breath for hours by training, but even if we say he expands it to like 30-40 minutes during fights, which I would think is more than realistic, he would still be an absolute monster. Imagine someone strong becomes undetectable with him and has like 30 minutes to attack an enemy basically for free. I know a lot of characters on this list have potential powerups and so on, but for him this doesn’t even have to do with his nene improving or getting more abilities, it’s just him training physically for a while. Imagine if he also gains additional abilities that give him some actual fire power. And then outside of straight up fighting super strong opponents, his ability could be used for all sorts of stuff. Being undetectable for 30 minutes would allow him to basically steal anything from anyone, assassinate anyone who isn’t a strong nen user, kidnap people, etc. He could be one of the best hunters with just 1-2 years of training with Morel and the others.
When you were talking about how long the Uvogin fight took off of Kurapika‘a lifespan, was Kurapika using Emperor Time during it? I thought that ability wasn’t revealed until much later

Great List. Your Razor placement is a bit weird as it was only confirmed that he is in charge of emission spells in greed island. It doesn't meant his aura is being used. Ging and other 10 people might have created symbiotic nen being that powers up the greed island and everyone is contributing their attributes to it, not aura but attributes, as if the mastery of emission from razor. Also his nen ability was rated as Great by Togashi in recent nen chart, while Zeno was rated extreme and silva was rated Genius.
Note: The explanation about Zazan power is that when feitan injured her, she got really angry as she sees herself as a queen and a queen is supposed to have a perfect face without a scar. She gets so angry that to defeat Feitan she makes a nen vow by sacrificing her beauty and her abiliy to rebirth new ants and in return gets a power boost and a tough skin.

It's tricky because some Nen abilities, mostly Enhancers, are all about strength or endurance. Then you have other abilities that are more supplementary and have zero combat application.. Switching back and forth between them made it difficult, I really should have set a baseline criteria.

The longest Kurapika has ever used emperor time is 12 hours. Which would equal 4.93 for about 5 years lost in that time. But Nen users do have a longer life span than normal i believe.

Its 100% headcannon, but I imagine Nobunaga's hatsu is similar to Killua's godspeed circle. Just anything that enters his bubble of en gets sliced immediately. Bullets, friends, foes, everything. Makes a lot of sense to me considering what he told Killua.
From what he said he use his katana when someone enter his EN, probably he is an enhancer and is an iaido master (he draw his sword really fast, probably similar to Netero's punch since both of them train in a specific thing)

Ever since the mangaka of Berserk passed I've had concerns about HxH's story since nobody want's a great writer to go, and if they're not able to finish their work... it's a double tragedy. All the best wishes to Togashi, and hopefully he isn't pestered too much by overzealous fans.
Togashi's great and I love HxH, but his back has to be pretty badly fucked for the amount of hiatuses he takes.
Tbh the way i rank the royal guard is youpi, pitou, pouf in terms of strength and character.I think youpi is the strongest but he is not the sharpest nail in the box. Pouf i dont think is that strong fight wise, but is a good tactician, but tends to get stuck in his head and overthink.He is kinda annoying too. I think pitou is kinda in the middle, a good mixure of both worlds, really strong just not in youpi's lvl and smart enough to analyze stuff. Those were the goals to life given to them at birth i think also.

If you only watched the anime, you might not be aware as the particular line I'm talking about was cut, but some time around his backstory and I THINK after Kite died, Gon and Killua were in the same town as him, and the manga goes out of the way to say that Gon and Gyro didn't meet and whether that was fortunate or not would only revealed when they finally do meet... it basically foreshadowed that this guy and Gon who are somewhat parallel in their personal relationship with their father and how that influenced them, let alone Gyro's understanding of how awful the world is vs Gon's naivety, are destined to meet at some point.

How is Abengane higher than Hina? Her curses dissipate over time and Abengane is stuck with whatever hellish monster that attaches to him until he can meet the original criteria to remove it.
The Ant king isn’t Hax as he never learned the basics of nen nor does he have a hatsu, or category even though after the series they gave him specialist, and I guess most if not all the chimera fall under specialist. Except for the few we saw do the water divinations. Even then we never saw then use nen in an effect way to really belong to one category, but we have seen most of them have a abilities they couldn’t explain even with basic knowledge which gives them the title specialist due to abilities not being available to others but unique to each ant rather than similar

Fun fact - I believe Togashi has chosen Abengane specifically as one of the strongest conjurer in the entire story revealed so far. If I'm not mistaken, Togashi has revealed information about who the strongest of each of the 6 types of Nen within the past year or two, and gave each Nen user a star rating based on how well they've mastered their specific Nen type. I think Abengane got 5 stars and is therefore the strongest conjurer, if not among the higher echelons of the conjurers.

The thing with basho's abilities is that he fucking sucks at writing the haikus I'm pretty sure. (Also this has been confirmed by togashi and is in the data books so I'm like 99 percent sure it's canon.) Also the king and royal guard are similar in power experienced hunters were shitting themselves from his en (yes pitou is a guy) knov was the 2nd in command of the hunters association and literally went crazy from pitou's en.

If someone could use an ability to slow him down, then Phinks could possibly wind his attack up and kill Mereum.
There are some hunters that could kill Mereum, but speed wise, he would blitz them unfortunately.

no whoever put in that superchat, that was a terrible understanding at what gon did to get his adult form. tekking doesnt even seem to understand what happened. gon made a contract that forcefully matured his body to a point where he was strong enough to defeat pitou. THE PRICE for attaining that state was to sacrifice his remaining potential. it wasnt all of his remaining potential compressed into that form. gon would have reached that form eventually in his life at some point and its not even necessarily his strongest possible form cause we can see he still looks relatively young. it was just the point at which he was strong enough to win that fight against pitou. thats it. he can still be stronger than that. he had to sacrifice his potential in order to rush to that point in the moment. and if you really believe gon will never get his nen back i got a bridge to sell you
