Just discovered your channel and I can already tell it is going to be a hit with the roller community. Just started rollerblading 3 months ago and it’s great to learn from someone that is also learning to rollerblade. I think the “ Beginner to beginner” concept is brilliant 👍
Love it!... We have all been a complete newbie and had to learn the basics, fall over a lot and, be fairly terrified at times knowing we cant stop in hurry. I'm 3 years deep and now far more advanced than i could have ever thought possible. It is actually a really fun part of the journey learning all the basics and becoming more confident. Everything is an exciting milestone but stopping is always harder to learn than rolling but if you're willing to accept falling over is an absolute part of the process you'll progress faster. If your falling over then you're pushing your limits 💪😎
By far the best beginner tutorial I've seen so far ! You did a really good job with explaining everything ! I just bought new inline skates fr 1 80 . You just inspired me to try or learn new tricks. I've started skating again after 20 years of inactivity a couple of years ago, but I didn't learn any new things, kept doing the same old things. Keep on progressing and posting tutorials ! 🙂
Hi Shannon, I'm excited to share with you that I managed to do some decent scissor turning this morning (only to right tho), and your video helps a lot. Thanks. I'm a total beginner and just started teaching myself how to inline skate 2 weeks ago after my 4-year-old daughter signed up for classes. It's fun and I can't wait to learn new tricks and be better. Love your videos. Keep up the good work!🥰
WOWIE!! CONGRATS 🎉👏🏼 I'm SO happy for you. You're scissoring at 2 weeks. What an accomplishment! Lovely that you can share this learning experience with your little one 💞 Thanks for sharing this with me. Hey keep me posted!
Life was easier in the past, my dad just showed me the "Piza Walk" and I learned everything else alone, because I wanted to. Now, unless you can teach your children how to do a double back flip first try in one day, they say it's boring. Nothing fun and exciting comes in first try, it comes with persistence and desire to learn and get better. Good tips, will try to show some of them and see if they wake up the interest.

This means a lot to me 🥹
3 months! Yes! Keep at it, you can only get better from here 💪🏼

awesome video. Recommendations for a video (if you care for) are stretches/warm ups you do before/after skating.
You made it so easy though it's not that easy to learn in one go.... but better way to learn and implement. I'm sure this will help a lot. Thanks
Baby steps, the drills are in no particular order. slow and steady wins the race 💪🏼 you got this!
Great video! You have some awesome tips in here, I wish it was around a few years ago when I picked up a pair of skates again.
Thanks! Never stop blading! 🤘🏼

@@justjordan8018 ohh yeah, I hear you! Some people just need a little motivation from someone that is overflowing with it :-)
Is it possible to do a C turn on Rollerblades (or only for roller skaters)?
Possible on blades, too! A lot more challenging though depending on the C turn.
@@shannon.skates TY! I stupidly took a Skatearobics class even though I'm a Rollerblader and that's what we were trying to learn 🫠
How long it takes to go from absolute beginner to being able to glide around the park?
don't rush to the park 😉
😁😁😁
I got new skates two weeks ago and in the first 15 minutes pulled my hamstring. Still recovering.. so painful
Oh noo! Hope for a speedy recovery ❤️🩹
