Its basically a Bethesda Firearm. You get the totally complete "it just works" Gen1 product and get to download all the core functions, and propably a new hand and shoulder, some time down the line. Marvelous.
This is great. I've spent the past year learning about AKs to a massive degree. Actually had some surgically induced total downtime and read the textbook, "AK-47 the Grim Reaper." Very exhaustive. Having been in Jr. High when Red Dawn came out the AK has always been forbidden fruit. Grew up in the Rocky Mountain region where guns were everywhere to the point where there were three brands. Pistol, rifle and shotgun, AK and M stuff were the stuff of Chuck Norris, Stallone and Schwarzenegger all of which seemed unattainable. Now with all the ARs running around, which are great and I love, I started checking out the AK thing and it is a new and wondrous world of an entirely new weapons system. They are pretty ingenious and very diverse which doesn't even take into account the 7.62 v. 5.45 subgroups of fanatics which have their own separate arguments far away from the AR v. AK debate. Eventually you'll run into even more peculiar groups of SKS and Mosin enthusiasts. Just saw the AK-50 June 2023 update but didn't want to watch it without watching this one.

There are few things which are more productive than cooperation mixed with a little friendly competition. I frequently used little competitions back in the day when I was a drill sergeant/drill instructor in the Austrian Army to motivate my recruits and put a little fun into sometimes tedious training exercises, and never failed: my lads were more motivated, it helped them to train things like muscle memory via otherwise tiring repetitions, their team spirit became stronger, and last but not least, I also enjoyed my work more when I watched them become more proficient while they enjoyed themselves at the same time. And yes, granted: that isn't always possible because sometimes, tasks _are_ just tedious, exhausting or both and just _can't_ be sugarcoated in any way, but just have to be carried out no matter what. So you can't always be the "nice coach" as a DS/DI, but sometimes just have to be the relentless arsehole who demands that some task is to be completed whether your lads like it or not. But whenever training _can_ be made enjoyable, it should be made so, because that will lead to recruits/students become better and be more successful when they are confronted with the real deal.
A good thing to see indeed, especially with youtube crackdowns on content like this lately. If needed this has a far greater possability to move the whole community to another platform than everyons going solo.
I... once was on a recovery of a 10million dollar piece of biological test rig from the bottom of the ocean. When it came up on deck, it had all the hose clamps on the lines broken out, but the electrical tape (Super 33 3m. , NOT 88!) held for the whole reco. My only question is... was that 33? or 88? I'm guessing 33. Since we pulled up a 2 ton SLED from 4000 meters where ONLY the Super 33+ bands which had been to the bottom of the ocean for a year were what held the recovery system into the package. 88 is stronger, but can't stretch as much.
Imagine it wasn't just a prototype and it was an actual working model: "this is the AK 50 chambered in .50 BMG. I didn't get to play with it as much as I wanted to, so I only got to put about 8,000 rounds through it this weekend"

I have a Barrett416 and after 20 shots I use the expense excuse )) it is very expensive $3-4 just for reloads I do. Damn primers are 50cents alone enough powder and big cost do I go solid brass or lead glad I bought out Midway USA)) sure is fun though

Also the powder that you load in full sized military 50 BMG is the slowest stuff on the market. So what he needs is to go down a notch on the bullet weight and also the powder type.
