      I always heard that NPCs can't figure out how to use an elevator anyway. So the elevator shut off is a great in-world concept, but not actually necessary in real game play, is that right?

    Another terrific build! I love the way you have utilized the features of the location to create a logical and wonderfully detailed encampment. I particularly like that you turned what most players try desperately to hide into a feature that makes perfect sense, as you point out, for the CO/Overseer of the camp to conduct morning briefings. I'm very much looking forward to what you come up with next...

    • @FalloutPBC
      @FalloutPBC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Many thanks my friend!
      I tried to hide it myself, I tried to build on it and around it. Then one day it just hit me. It's a great feature built-in, why I'm I trying to hide it.
      I try to do that everywhere now. It was the same with the pumps in the dock. Hold on this is cool looking, lets use it. It's all head cannon, roleplay stuff I guess but I like it!
      It makes the world seem more real, to me at least.

    Love the scaffolding walkways! I didn't even think of placing a guard station in the old the canteen - I can imagine that it was hard to fit. Nice job. I appreciate the shoutout and commiseration around the the rooftop provisioners. Drives me crazy. Looking at how much you were able to get in makes me think about upgrading to a Series X... ;-) This is another great build - thanks for sharing.

    • @FalloutPBC
      @FalloutPBC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you, good sir!
      That thing with the provisioners is really frustrating. For a long time, I thought it was something to do with how I'd built that area up. It was a relief of sorts to see others have the same problem.
      The death of my old Xbox was super stressful at the time as it nearly killed the channel but in hindsight, it turned out to be something of a blessing in disguise.
      I really don't yet know where the limit of this new Xbox is but I'm very pleased to be able to go back and add to my old builds and get them looking far more like how I would like them.
      I just finished a new build at the airport and I did four bar resets and it's still totally stable. I've doubled the size of my Oberland station build without a problem too.
      Add to that the massively improved draw distance, crisper graphics, almost instant load times and the ability to finally be able to play freely in and around Boston downtown without a single crash. It's improved the whole game play experience massive.
      The overall experience with X/S has been a bit mixed, but from a purely Fallout perspective, it has been an excellent ( but poorly timed and costly ) upgrade.

    Great job! Glad to see someone besides us few who are still playing FO4. I'm on my umpteenth play through and still love how different the game becomes when you alter even small enter actions with the game. Great ideas on this settlement. I've never spent much time there, but will now.

      I agree it's such an infinitely replayable game. I've had so many characters over the years, and all are totally different.
      Egret is a little bit out of the way so I can see why so many players avoid it. But It's got so much going for it, It's always a top build site for me.
      Hope you enjoy building there.
      I have some other builds coming up this year in some odd places so hopefully, I can inspire you again soon.

    I would love to know. How long did it take you to get the settlement like this? I know you said in the video that you have a lot of patience. Btw...another amazing settlement!! Also..one other question. When Starfield comes out, will you also talk about the game? I know there is going to be settlement building or ship building.

    • @FalloutPBC
      @FalloutPBC  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi ya, many thanks again.
      I really don't know how many hours are in this settlement. This playthrough started in 2016 and although I've long since moved on to other characters, I still enjoy popping back to this playthrough to add more to the builds.
      This was my main character for years and all the settlements I've filmed so far were built very gradually. I'd just add a bit here and there as resources allowed.
      In a lot of cases, things have been built and taken down and rebuilt many times. As an example, in this settlement, the shop building was the main bunkhouse for years.
      The whole docks area and the lift to the apartment were only added fairly recently when I upgraded to Xbox SX and didn't have to worry about crashes anymore.
      As for Starfield... I have spoken to a number of other very well-known Fallout TH-camrs who are planning on totally rebranding their channels for Starfield. I think it's a bit sad to see so many planning on jumping ship even though I know why they are doing it and the pressure they have been put under.
      I'm undecided on what to do about Starfield at this stage. I don't think I'm going to do Starfield content here, I'd like to keep this channel Fallout only.
      If the game is good and it hooks me I will consider adding a totally new channel for Starfield.
      Let's see if it's good first! lol

    I recently discovered your channel and I love the content, especially no mods being involved in your settlement builds. I would really like to see you do reviews on creation club content and the process of your settlements as time went on and how you changed them. I also would like a video about how you collect tons of resources for your builds.

    • @FalloutPBC
      @FalloutPBC  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the kind words, it is very much appreciated.
      Creation club content reviews are something I have planned so stay tuned for that. I did have a quick look at some of the CC content in my 25th-anniversary videos so maybe check those out until the full reviews are out.
      I have been thinking about adding a section after the settlement tours, adding more about the development of the builds over time etc.
      As for resources, most are traded from the vendors with the water produced from big water farms like this one and another I have at Warwick. The Warwick video is in production now and should be out in the next few months.
      I have thought about doing a video on resource gathering and my method for efficiently collecting all the junk from buildings after missions.
      Thanks again for all the feedback it's very helpful, welcome to the channel, glad to have you here.

      It's an interesting site. One of those sites that I though should have been a settlement in the game. I think it would have been far better than the nearby County Crossing.
      I suspect they didn't use it as it's involved in quite a few quests.

      Thanks! I had to go back and look myself, I didn't remember a traffic light.
      I think you could be referring the the work light outside the main building?
      If so that's not a traffic light although it does look like one, it's Its from the Wasteland Workshop DLC...
      It tells all your settlers that an arena fight is happening. If you don't have an area built, the settlers just stop work and return to their leisure actions.

      There are a few people that have suggested fixes but none have worked for me.
      I'm now going to have to take down a massive and complex part of my build to replace the elevator.
