Love your Castle build. Playing on console limits you to making the changes you add truly count. I play on PC, & my builds can be a mess. The light boxes are a great touch. I did something similar in Sanctuary, Red Rocket, & Abernathy Farm. I connected a siren to a fireworks mortar. Flipping on the siren turns on the launcher. When you arrive during an attack, the settlement is usually firing off fireworks to announce they're under assault & call for reinforcements. I built a shanty town to the north of the Castle. The reasoning was settlers would withdraw into the "keep" during an attack. Unfortunately, Fallout 4 settler NPCs swarm any attacker like angry bees. Glad to see I'm not the only one who uses a few settlements as recruitment/training centers. It is so much more simple to dispatch them where you want them rather than carrying arms & equipment to each settlement.
@@FalloutPBC Thanks. I've used another setup in a few places with the red & green lights. Set up pylons connected to separate generators & either an XOR or XNOR logic gate. When a settler hits the siren, it flips the logic gate, shunting power from the pylons & conduits which provide green lighting and transferring it to the ones which provide red lighting. "Red Alert" from Star Trek was the basis for the idea.
Wow, this is a great build. I really like the elevator that goes down to the coast with the barrels that makes it look like the start of a harbor/fishing wharf type area. How is this possible with vanilla build limit, my castle has one building, walls and two shops. Can't build more🙃
This build is WAY over the limit. About 5 resets ( around the most XboxSX can handle ) I have two videos in my tips playlist here that explain how to reset the bar for bigger builds without mods!
There are some dangers and drawbacks so make sure to watch both videos!

@@FalloutPBC Yea I actually totally forgot about that mechanic. Gotta be careful with it :D
@@maanteidenkuningas917 Indeed!
I tried to fix the castle and ended up using the build limit on the front gate.
If you drop guns inside the settlement and build mode store the guns into the settlement and decrease the bar of the build limit.

Here's my video on resetting the build limit. Make sure to watch part two as well and take note of my warnings about over using this glitch.
How is this not over the build limit ??
It's way over the build limit!! About five times. That's around the maximum the XboxSX can handle.
If you would like to know how to reset the size bar without mods I have two videos on that in my building tips playlist.
Why can i only use vault tec in a vault?
Once you unlock the vault tec content through the quest it unlocks in the build menu for all settlements.
Am I missing something? A lot of these items are not available to me in the workshop. I play on ps4. Are these DLC additions or am I just being foolish?
I don't have those steel stairs, the walls you've filled in the castle with and plenty of other things
Mostly DLC. All the DLC's added some build items. Some DLC's like wasteland workshop added a huge amount.
There are also a few items like the GNR radio signs from CC.
I used automaton dlc to remake sarge
Very cool!
Very Impressive! Please look at my recent post about building settlements. I could use so suggestions. Thanks!
Many thanks! I'll take a look 👍🏻
You left lots of ugly rubble and that ugly grass, i put concrete on all that
Ok, thanks for letting me know.
This has mods, i don't have gym equipment as a build option
Nope! I NEVER lie about my builds!!!
The gym set is part of the Vault tec DLC
Forget Mods in Fallout 4 Steam, because they don't work anymore. Every time you click on the Mod icon, it just simply says, " The operation could not be completed". So, whatever Mods I have before The Next Gen update... I'm stuck with it. I'm not a computer genius, like the rest of you guys are ( doing Mods on Nexus/Vortex). However, great vid man, keep it up.
Many thanks!
