Yeah but that argument was not very good. If it was true that a cis couple was ideal for child rearing it wouldn't logically follow to take a child away from a single parent after divorce
Having parents that had no business having kids makes me appreciate anyone who is willing to provide care and compassion for children, especially adopted ones.

Just over 10 years ago, I was having a converasition with my friend about the same topic, and I had almost the same arguments as Kader here had. Well, not the naturalistic ones actually, but mainly the "kid will be bullied" argument. My friend pointed out these same problems and it took me whole 3 minutes to understand that I was wrong. To me it sounds like Kader also found out being wrong here.
Yeah we've all been wrong at some point. I was raised with notions like "a child with no mother will definitely be gay" or "a child with two mothers will always come out different" and so on. But it comes a time where we realize it's all nonsense. Around 17 years old more or less
You can't guarantee that a kid will not be bullied anyway. I was born into a "normal" family, with a mother, father, and older sister. We were lower middle class, and though we didn't have everything that others around had, we were still doing fine. But I'm neurodivergent and was bullied throughout school for being odd. Since we don't know the causes of neurodivergence, there could be nothing to change me, not that I would since then I wouldn't be me anymore.
I don't get the argument with bullying. As a kid I bullied for many reasons but parents where never a reason to bully.
It did happen a lot during segregation in the USA (before the 80s, approximately).

Whenever I hear arguments about how gay adoption may be a problem I think of the people I know who were totally screwed up by their natural and heterosexual parents. Gay parents have a way to go to reach those levels.
You've described me to a "T". Raised by heterosexual biological parents. I've managed to survive 63 years but I'm completely screwed up because of how my parents raised me. I wish I had responsible loving parents and wouldnt care about their sexual orientation.
I grew up in a traditional nuclear family. I was sexually abused by my father. Tell me again why 'traditional' families are better.

Again, unless you can demonstrate a god, nobody cares. And having parents and a loving family is far more beneficial to a child.
I just want to point out that the primary determining factor to the success of a child growing into an adult is the amount of money and resources the kid had access to. It has almost nothing to do with the number or gender of the adults raising the child. If Beyoncé becomes a single mother tomorrow do you think her kids would have any problems? Beyoncé has so much money that her kids might not even notice the divorce.

What's a fanatique homophobe?
Some of the same people who are against gay marriage between two loving people are for forced marriages. In their world view a person should be stuck in a loveless marriage out of convenience and get rights while people who actually want to marry and love someone is denied those same rights.

Where do adopted kids come from? Heterosexual parents (95% of the cases)...

An extra advantage of gay parents is that they won’t have an unwanted child by accident.

Denial of social rights based on sexuality is simply wrong.
It’s not that long since women were denied the vote. Fortunately, that was sorted a while back, at least in western states.
Sadly, it is still the case in some backward (in my view) countries.
While sexuality in most cases is somewhat binary ( heterosexual / homosexual / lesbian ), it isn’t always. A great many of us are bi-sexual to some extent.
How heterosexual must one be before one would be ’permitted’ to adopt a child?
As was pointed out in the video, that argument could be applied to various kinds of difference. What criteria are acceptable?
Race
Religion
Height
Hair colour
Foot size
The possibilities for reasons of exclusion are almost endless!
A homosexual man is capable of fathering children. I am certain that has happened, a LOT.
A lesbian woman is definitely capable of giving birth to a child. I am certain that has happened an enormous number of times.
It is also possible that a lesbian and a homosexual might cooperate to help each other have children. I suspect that has happened too!
Should they be denied parental rights?
Homosexuality & Lesbianism are not contagious. A child brought up by people who loves him or her would be vastly better off than a child stuck in an institution.
Babes seem to be adopted easily. Older children who have been orphaned, less so.
I see no reason to reduce the potential numbers of available adopters based on their sexuality.
I am a married heterosexual man. I have grandkids. I love them all and will continue to do so regardless of whatever their individual sexuality turns out to be. It is an irrelevance.
