My ps4 became fast and quite after I cleaned it and replace the hdd with Samsung 870 evo ssd

No its not worth it m8, not at all. Why would it be worth it in 2023? PS4 and Xbox Microsoft consoles from the same era are shit now. You will get a small texture improvement, speed improvement, and faster loading times. What's the point on a console that will be as good dead in a couple of years? 4 years tops? Everyone is moving over to latest gen now, and say what you want about an ssd but it still ain't gonna look as good playing GTA as it will the enhanced edition on PS5 I know this because I've recently moved to latest gen consoles myself and was using a PS4 Pro for 2 years previously. No HSW upgrades on last gen nothing like that, and no career improvement or career stats.

Okay then. In order:
1. If you actually compared these as new instead of new vs. many years old, or you at least cleaned and re-pasted the Pro and added an SSD like everyone does to their trusty Pro's then this would have been a MUCH closer comparison.
2. Most folks aren't going to be buying an older console, they'll be upgrading from one gen to the next. With the prices of even the digital PS5 being over $400US if you already have and took care of a PS4 Pro, the rush to upgrade probably won't be so fast. You'd be better off waiting for a possibly cheaper PS5 Slim or something to actually upgrade.
3. Sony must know folks aren't upgrading so fast because they are still going to develop games for the PS4 series up until 2025, so you've still got 3 more years to expect games being made for you're well maintained older PS4 Pro console to look forward to.
4. I keep harping on the "well maintained" part because if you had done so yourself, that "jet engine noise" you keep referring to wont be there, period. Mine hasn't made anywhere near that amount of noise in the 3 years I've owned it simply because I clean it out twice a year and put quality paste on the cpu to cool it off better. It works and works well. I'm in no hurry to trade up yet, no reason other than better, but not so much better, graphics to look forward to.
I don’t have a PlayStation 4pro or a PlayStation 5 I have 300.00 dollars saved with one would you get ,I just don’t know which one to get.
@@keithpatterson8292Seeing as you don't have either one, I'd save another $100 and grab a PS5. If you're starting from scratch and don't already have a PS4 Pro then that's the smart move. But if you don't have the extra $100, go for a good used PS4 Pro, I'd do ebay and look for one of their certified refurbished deals as they add a 1 year warranty to those. Better safe than sorry 👍

@@keithpatterson8292 You can play all of the PS4 games with your PS5. If you have over half of the money, wait a bit to invest in the more advanced technology.
My ps4 Pro is the latest version, so it's quieter compared to older models. Even so, I had it cleaned out and repasted. It's so quiet, and I don't get the jet engine reference from these videos.

PS4pro w/2tb Samsung SSD playin on a Samsung 65QN90B. The PS5 up to this point hasn’t made me feel the need to make the jump yet. Waiting on the ps5 pro if anything…
Ive almost got the same set up as you. My Samsung is curved model. The biggest reason to upgrade would be our tv’s 😂 it makes everything look so good I wanna see how the 5 looks. Everyone I know plays their 5’s on low end tvs
Isn't it sad though that the ps5 pro is roughly going to have the same tflops as the current Xbox series x?

Ive notice my ps4 pro jet sound only seems to kick in on games that support HDR or run in 4k, but if its games like gta5 or mortal kombat x it doesnt make any sound. All other games that support hdr or 4k id have to play on my ps5
I'm telling you, the PS5 is much more better. Mine PS4 is a slim and so far it's been great but ever since I got my PS5 my gameplay immerse than I expected because graphics and performance is so good. I hope you have fun gaming and be sure to experience more.

Listen up people I've not watched the video im here to give you my opinion from experience, bare with me I know a lot of you have had latest gen consoles from day one but I have only recently moved over.
I was working with a PS4 Pro for around 2 year's straight and since I've upgraded it is like night and day......seriously. Lets talk about all around performance.....its much better. Better and faster loading times, better frame rates, better graphics, quick action online instead of waiting like last gen, so easy to upload to TH-cam channels and be back where you was previously after sending. Its years ahead of last gen all around. There is loads I've left out but the truth of the matter is that the PS5 is mountains better than the last gen consoles and so is the Series X.

No Bluetooth headset support on ps5 is disappointing. Plus the ps4 is a better size and shape. I travel with my systems when I work out of town and the ps4 pro is my goto for that because it's easy to transport.

@@GarrettMusic1 honestly my PS4 pro is quite silent i replaced the thermal pads with tp3 from artic and thermal paste from noctura nt-h2. Guarantee you it works wonders

One reason why I will not buy a PS4 or 5 because of the horrible fans.
I’ve got one the 2019/20 last of the run ps4 pro and a 2tb ssd. It stays quiet as that was in the final design and with the ssd it’s fine for me. What I don’t like on the 5 is design is goofy and that tiny SSD. I mean seriously sony not even a full TB SSD ? We’re talking pennies in the volume sony buys for 800 Gb to a full TB. TB should be base and 2/4 should be an option upgrade??? Plus they could easily added another drive slot as storage is king. Another drive slot would definitely be big. I’m not interested in having 600gb space as that’s maybe 4 aaa titles if you’re lucky. I’ll keep enjoying my PS4 pro until Sony pulls head out it’s butt and realize STORAGE! heck even my iPhone has a TB on it ffs.

so you can not play games your way
