"Before long, I will own this human."
Plagueis, for all your wisdom, you are trying to tame a terentatek as if it were a nerf.
Seriously Palpatine was basket case from day one. He’s been waiting for permission and Damsek gave him what he was looking for.
"Hold on there, My Lord! We're going for a ride!" 😎😂
Robot Chicken Palpatine: "YEAH! POINT BREAK, BICHES!!!"
You can see the parallels between young Palpatine and Anakin, though Palpatine as a far darker parallel far more violent and without any morality unlike Anakin.
Regardless of Sidious' nature, Cosinga Palpatine unknowingly only fueled the darkness in his "son". For me Palpatine was a creation of the dark side and Cosinga was only the caretaker responsible to raise him until it was time to the boy be strong enough to break his chains and follow his destiny.
Hard to think the Creepy old emperor from the original trilogy, and the stern calculated tyrant sith from the prequel trilogy started life as a racer.
Yeah apparently Palpatine chose to attend the destruction of the Rebel Alliance onboard Death Star 2, because he still liked the thrill of being in the moment of action, instead of just listening to the news back on Coruscant in the side lines, which turned out to be his downfall.
Hard to think the stoic and imposing Darth Vader started life the same way.
@@Kip450 Yes, but what's more tragic is, Anakin had a heart of gold, especially when he was nine.
3:27 that right there is how Sidious destroyed the Jedi order, even as a kid, he studied the Jedi like an open book, and when he realized how they think and fight, he broke them! Kinda like bane in the knightfall saga!
Young Palpatine: Hey, Hego! Check THIS out! I'll try spinning. THAT'S a good trick!!!😄
Darth Plagueis: 😨🤢🤮
Why do i have the feeling you're going to be the death of me?😩
Young Palpatine: ( All in good time " my friend " ).😏
the apprentice would repeat his masters failure overconfidence would be his undoing
5:00 to 5:16 sounds like you’re typical toxic marriage.
I wonder if Papatine killing the two pedestrians was an accident or an "accident".
5:39 does he mean "Sheev?"
Technically yes, but Palpatine was given the name "Sheev" in the "official" canon novels.
@buntsbooks and James Luceno, who wrote Darth Plagues and eventually The Tarkin novel that confirmed Palpatine's given name!!!
@@pascalhicks4376 I'm aware of that.
This book is a trilogy by itself. Instead of using the source material of EU, Lucasfilm is too busy satifying the whims of Kathleen at cost of Star Wars good name. Their stupidity is sickening.
It could have been so much more though. We could have a Darth Sidious novel and maybe even a Darth Tenebrous novel. Another Dark Lord Trilogy to tie together the entire Prequel Saga, from Tenebrous to Vader.
Honestly, I see the Darth Plagueis novel, Labyrinth of Evil, and the ROTS novelization as an unofficial Palpatine trilogy.
Adding the Darth Bane Trilogy before it would create the complete sith saga of the Star Wars EU.
@@thezman9522 Fun Fact: The Bane Trilogy, LoE, and ROTS are all narrated by Jonathan Davis. DP is narrated by Daniel Davis. As far as I know, they're not related, but it is interesting.
