In this excerpt, with Jabba's assistance, Plagueis barely avoids a nuclear strike. The informal coalition that included Dark Jedi Komari Vosa of the Bando Gora, King Veruna of Naboo, and Underlord Alexi Garyn of Black Sun launched the attack.

Ars Veruna heard the words but didn’t take them in for a long moment. A lump of sick anxiety welled in his stomach. An enclosing hand around his world-both Naboo and within himself-that told a simple fact: he had never been in control. A reality he had wished to cloak himself in, but ultimately could not run from.
But he could still try. Damask and Palpatine had gotten what they wanted. And maybe, just maybe, he could exit the galactic stage with the dignity of a Naboo statesman.

I wonder if the fact Plagueis calls Jabba by his full name is a sign of their partnership, as seemingly everyone else calls him Jabba the Hutt. Either way, such a badass alliance. Love how Jabba chuckles sleazily about contacting Veruna.

He released them though and said later that he himself couldn't have destroyed them because he loved the place to much. Also we would do no different if our scientists knew they might discover ever lasting life and controlling life and death. The Japanese during World War 2 did some nasty experiments and we let the scientists go in exchange for the data.

In the book Maul Lockdown, when Maul acquired a nuclear weapon that he would give to Komari Vosa, just as Sidious ordered!!!

That was his first attempt to kill Plagueis since Sidious was too afraid to face him in combat. The second attempt was as we know when Sidious killed Plagueis in his novel.

Good work on Jabba's voice. I did like the bit in the novel where Jabba addresses Plagueis in Basic rather than Huttese. A small thing but it helps to reinforce just how powerful and fearsome Damask is even to those who know nothing of his power as a Sith.

I wouldn't be surprised if Venamis's body was indeed atomised by the blast, was buried in decentcy and kind of respect or just dump in the jungles for the animals Plagueis experimented on to feast on.
