The Bench Trail

- On this trip we decided to explore the east end of the bench trail and take in some views. The circadas were everywhere and very loud. It certainly added to our hiking experience. Another thing that made this hike interesting was that we saw a bear cross the road about 50 yards in front of us as we were walking down the road to get to the trail head. The trail was, at least in parts, almost overgrown with vegetation and we were constantly looking out for snakes.
That's the same sound I heard on my last outing, but very distant. I have not heard them at our house though. Horses are as bad as side by sides. That's a good uphill. Mushroom killer. You just can't trust rocks, man...not trustworthy at all. I saw no bear's butt crack. That is a great view up there...don't think I've been. Good hike dudes. Did the bear go into a crack? A porky can look similar.
It's a good climb for sure, but not too bad. The circada noise was so loud it surprised me. You need to go check this place out, it's definitely your kind of spot. I've seen some porkies run but they don't really "bounce" when they run, more of straight, flat motion. This thing had a coat of hair to boot.
@@travelingwithspinoza Shoulda wrestled.
@@NoTrail Suzie wouldn't let me.
@@travelingwithspinoza She wants to.
I'll leave the bear wrestling to SpinBob.
