OHT: MM 55-59 (Lick Branch Trailhead to Wolf Ridge)

- This weekend we took a hike on the OHT mm 55-59 and back (8.3 miles). We made the hike tougher than it needed to be- We didn't bother to bring any food and we had a late start so we were hiking in the hottest part of the day. Temps got up to 81 degrees. The trees did provide some shade along the way but mostly there was constant sunlight. Of course the two mile hike up to Wolf Ridge was the real challenge of this hike.

Hey, I did a piece of that years ago, but I went west. Did you lick the branch?...and if so, was it delicious? I was hoping Susie would step on the big rocks so I could say "and she slips". Red Bug was probably some dude. You've saved many lives by replacing that sign. I saw a cloud. Wild Azalea I think. That was a lovely hike for you and your Susie. OHV's suk donkey style.

When I hiked it years ago I went in the same direction. That hill is a pain. Didn't lick any branches either. She was wanting to walk on the big rock so her tights wouldn't get wet, but it's not worth falling in the creek. By replacing that sign I should be given some sort of medal from the governor's office. It's only fair. OHVs are the worse!
