Very cool!! Was it a private home in 1976 or already a nursing home? What was grown in the green houses!?? Did you ever see the inside of the house in 1976 ?
@@BornToMince Yes it was a High class retirement home. I grew cucumbers Tomatoes Lettuces and the like. It was my first job, i mowed the lawns washed up and help the old maintenance man. Loved it.
That house is absolutely beautiful. The amount of detail in the main hallway is incredible. I love old homes the craftsmen ship is incredible. No one does it like that anymore. People actually took pride in what they did. You had me sold on the house in the first 2 rooms. Thank you for taking the time to record the home and share it. Thanks to the owner for allowing us to all see the beautiful home him or she has. Best to them in restoring it. Best to you guys for bringing us the lost beautiful homes.
What a beautiful building. So nice to see that your reputation as a respectful explorer undoubtedly got you the unrestricted run of this lovely house. I would so like to see what happens to this place after the renovations.
Gorgeous mansion oooh to be able to afford a home like this architecture spot on fireplaces fabulous and the respect you both have for these places is outstanding every time so glad i found your channel well done both of you thanks ❤
Nice job. Interesting find, guys. I hope they realize that little leak in the roof will begin to devour that house once it's boarded up and put on the shelf so to speak. Colin blessed a toad, yes, even a toad. He always takes care of business, even earth 🌎 business . God would be proud of him. 🙌❤️🔥🙌🕊️
I’m glad this place will be saved and also that you were able to view it, hopefully now that you have explored it, it will stop people wont be trying to get it in after its secured and doing damage as it will make it harder for the owner to get work done.
Hi Colin and Ben. Hope you two are doing good. Happy Father's Day Colin and Ben. That video was so cool. I absolutely loved that fireplace with the red tiles.
Hi Guys Wow what a place that is,excellent video Colin with your usual great commentary.Really glad to hear that place is going to be saved.Great find to get the safe key, just think if there was aload of money in there!!!!! Just think what that place must have been like in the old days.Another great find Colin ,look forward to next weeks.Take care.😀
I can’t ever wrap my head around how places like these are empty abandoned. It’s a shame. The problem is sometimes they need so much repair no one can afford to fix them. Or heat and cool them either. Can you imagine the utilities in a building like that….?
This was quite thrilling! What a fabulous place for an explore. That stained glass window was lovely. So you found the key but not quite the secret! But 10 out of 10 for trying.
The stained glass with the crest is insanely beautiful! The bay room with the bay windows was very cool and the heating of the soil and greenhouse to grow year around was genius! Great adventure!
The milner safe you opened are a early Victorian safe manufacturer made in Liverpool found one on line for £25,000 a little bit larger but out of all the others that were similar to the one in the building yours was the best they are still running as a company but are owned by Chubb 👌👍... maybe if the hot houses (greenhouses) were still in ok condition with the underneath still there then maybe the property would be listed because to have a working hot houses or one that could be reconditioned would be rare, I'd love to see them remade and pineapples and peaches, oranges growing in them❤️👍... really nice property that could still be made in to family home but will probably become apartments...nice walled garden I think I need to do the euro millions....
54 seconds old, let’s go! Oklahoma, USA checking in. Keep up the good work. I do this kind of stuff here in America too my friend. Keep up the good work! Cheers
Cool place m8 ..good walk around intriguing safe key 🗝️ what about the locked gate near the safe ...it was an old lock ...great place for renovation 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
it was great that the owners allowed you guys to explore that amazing mansion. that was the coolest place I've seen so far. thanks boys for getting in there.
Oh my goodness that’s a stunning property! Thank you so much for sharing it with us and thank you to Nick for allowing you to explore such a beautiful home. I love old architecture. ❤️
Ahh mate this was wonderful! What a fantastic building, that's so brilliant of the owners to let you look around. Loved the hothouses but so sad to see their current condition. Can't believe you found the key for the safe and then the ancient one 🗝 Fabulous video ❤
I love the workmanship and details in homes this age. Most homes these days are cookie cutter homes and it's all about getting them done cheap and fast. It's about greed instead of pride and creativity.
We enjoyed your video very much and it’s nice. The house is going to be saved and boarded to protect it. That’s a good thing. Lovely video great stuff keep going look forward to seeing more of you in the future, Eddie and Jane👍👍
I absolutely love your videos! I always find myself giggling at some of the things you say! When you said, “Look at all the dead snails! That’s creepy! There’s loads!”, I laughed out loud! Your voice and accent are perfect for narrating! I love how excited you get whenever you find something interesting!
Beautiful Colin. So nice and the fact that it's still in decent shape. Good to hear that this beauty is being saved. Hope you will keep us informed about this place. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Fantastic old place. Hope it does get done up. Would have liked to have seen the grandeur before they carved it up for a nursing home. Are you sure about the build date of 1876. Seems a bit late going by the outside architecture. Those lovely big greenhouses would have provided exotic fruits and others out of season. There was usually a kitchen garden for all the vegetables as well. And all the staff to run it all. Times mostly gone by.
That is gorgeous and amazing. I think I'd love to live there, but I'd constantly be lost. Guess I'd have to invest in breadcrumbs. LOL. I love how respectful you are when you visit places, and that you get permission. I've seen several other videos of your's but just subbed today. Looking forward to more. Thanks for what you do.
Wow,what a beautiful building,it has to be one of the best you’ve explored.Hope it’s put back to its original form.Great video guys,we follow Ben as he’s a great guy.Looking forward to seeing your next adventure.👍🏽
Wow Colin. That is one awesome old mansion. It has been updated many times over the years. It is pretty with some modern touches. Watching from my Las Vegas home. Thanks for the tour! Keep up the amazing content!
Used to do contracted Security alarm response for VPS. Great set of lads work for them. Used to mainly do empty pubs, some hotels and some domestic properties.
Why don't the owners put it in the hands of the National Trust? They clearley don't want to maintain it themselves. It isn't quite derilict yet and can still be saved.
That one bathroom you went into and said something about it being small. I noticed that the drain for water was in the middle of the floor and my guess is that bathroom was for people in wheelchairs. I say that because my mother was in a nursing home and that is how she got her showers. Beautiful building and could make a lovely inn for vacationing people.
I worked there in 1976 when i left school. I used to grow veg in the greenhouse.
Very cool!!
Was it a private home in 1976 or already a nursing home?

In what country, England?
Yes, on the Hampshire West Sussex boarder.@@quitecontrary8486

What a beautiful building. So nice to see that your reputation as a respectful explorer undoubtedly got you the unrestricted run of this lovely house. I would so like to see what happens to this place after the renovations.
A beautiful old building. Glad we had a chance to see it.
A stunning house, so glad it’s going to be saved, great video Colin,
Exploring the whole place, finding a key, opening a safe, finding another key. Just like a dungeon crawler game, love it
I could watch these videos of old houses and stuff all day 💪🏻🤍👍🏻
Me too there fascinating😃😃😃😃
It’s great to hear they’re saving this place ❤❤❤
That stained glass window is absolutely gorgeous. Someone needs to save that❤
'Secret Doors' are probably servant doors to allow them access without using the master corridors.
That's definitely what the secret stairs are about.
It Is nice how respectful are to the places you explore, another brilliant video mate.
Wow...love houses like these especially if have hidden rooms..😊
Your love and concern for the animals melted me ❤ xxx
I liked that too ...
The vr
Craftsmanship in these old buildings are breath taking. So beautiful. Built to last forever. Thank You for sharing!
Such a beautiful building. These mansions have such character, I love them.
I’d love your introductory music, your voice and your videos. I also love your reaction to things 😊.Thank you for sharing.❤

A lot of these old properties have been ruined by nursing home companies
I agree with you Nursing homes use the beautiful buildings but do not care about the property Such a shame
I was thinking the same thing. All the grandeur and character has been stripped.
And vandals etc of course but you're right and it's such a shame! 😢
Such a beautiful home. I love the details in wood and iron work. Thank you for sharing
Hi Colin and Ben. Hope you two are doing good.

I love brick homes. I grew up in a brick house. It was built in 1920. I wish I still lived there. I’m 54.
I hope it is saved/restored.
Really look forward to Saturday nights, spin up Utube, put on a brew and see what you guys have been up to this week.

Stunning building!
It would make a great movie location!!
The lift up pieces of the seats either side of the fireplace would be to store logs for the fire
Ahh mate this was wonderful! What a fantastic building, that's so brilliant of the owners to let you look around. Loved the hothouses but so sad to see their current condition. Can't believe you found the key for the safe and then the ancient one 🗝 Fabulous video ❤
The architecture and shape of the stair s are beautifully designed, on the wall.
Amazing how clean it is for an abandoned house.
Its crazy to think that this beautiful mansion was built only 18 years before my own house yet it looks architectually much older.
Great explore. Love the old mansion
I love the workmanship and details in homes this age. Most homes these days are cookie cutter homes and it's all about getting them done cheap and fast. It's about greed instead of pride and creativity.

LOVED you found the key to the safe. ❤❤❤❤ i was excited to see it opened 😊😊😊
Love this explore , beautiful house , but such a shame it’s not lived in .
