To anyone who has this problem in the future. I removed the panels around the R13, and that allows you to access the bottom panel. Thanks @BigFishTech as your R13 video removing all the components really helped!
Looks good, the biggest problem is they proprietary PSU. Means any kind of upgrades or PSU replacement in the future is essentially impossible. At least the prior generation (for all its faults) had a standard ATX power supply.
Great content bro. Just an FYI, I got my Ryzen R-14 a few days ago and the AIO was on sideways (the alien head was sideways) so I decided to take it off and turn it right side up and good thing I did because the amount of thermal paste they used was unacceptable.
Great quality control. Unfortunately, you are not the only one with quality control issues. Luckily you are capable to fix it. Not everyone is. I would contact customer service and if you handle it well you could get some money back on the system.
i replaced mine with liquid metal thermal paste and the liquid metal ate through the cpu and killed it. but i needed to replace the cpu anyways so... yeah

Hopefully you see this I have a r13 with bdprochot locked on causing it to throttle to only 400mhz I was told this is from thermal sensors being faulty or out causing the pc to lock into this state Throttle stop shows its bdprochot limiting my core and ring But temps are reading cool So its an error from the sensor Would uou happen to know where this sensor is located?
Wouldn't the screws on the cooler be 4-3-2-1 because I thought it's numbered for the order you tighten them. So wouldn't you wanna remove them vice versa? I may be wrong but just a thought
I took the important parts out of my last gen aurora and put them all in a nzxt h1 case. I was tired of how heavy it was and the loud fans haha. Plus i never get above a temperature of 50. Great video though we need more people doing tear downs of oem builds!

@RyanYu Hi Ryan I figured out how to make the cryo tech cpu cooler push pull but I used a regular 3 pin connector non PWM so it made the temperatures worse because I think it is the fact that the fan would not increase when temperature got hotter so in a way it restricted airflow and the cpu was running hot and would not cool down unless it throttled the cpu downI think I will leave well enough alone because when I put it back together the original way it kept temperatures perfect without throttling 😀👍

Hey @bigfishtech, I have a r13 coming this week. Your videos on it were some of the best I found and definitely were a big contribution when it came time to make the decision to pull the trigger on buying one. My question is regarding upgrading the gpu. The aftermarket rtx 3080s are all pretty much 12+ inches in length; The ones with 3 fans anyway. My friend has a RoG Strix 3080 in white that would look amazing in my white r13 case I think. I know this would void my warranty and I’m willing to bite that bullet, but will the card even fit? Looks like the front intake fan shroud is removable and kind of redundant? So there should be plenty of clearance for the length, but that power connector that plugs into the motherboard looks like it would get in the way of a larger card. Does that plug occur after the 12.53” mark from the back of the case? The strix 3080 is 12.53” long. Please help if ya can. I don’t want my friend to send me the card for no reason. Thanks man!!!

@@RyanYu I added RGB heatsinks to the 2 ram sticks, Cyberpunk 2077 RGB M.2 SSD, RGB heatsink for boot M.2 drive, RGB GPU bracket, Razer ARGB Controller, and additional thermal paste on RTX 3080 memory junction location (max 90c at full load). I'm currently running a -100 undervolt on the i9 CPU and now at max 97c at full load. I think I can squeeze out some more thermal headroom on the CPU without crazy fan speeds still...
I have a question can you please help me I just got my Alienware aurora 15 and the front of the case where that big white ring is attached to the front black part where the USBs and alien head power button are came with a small dent and it’s bothering me bad. I got Dell to send me the replacement part and they’re supposed to be here this coming Monday. Your video makes it look very easy to get that part off. I am very anxious because I do not want any further damage to my computer is there any way to get the front off without removing the very top panel? Can you remove the very front of the case just by removing the sides of the case to reveal the front tabs holding the front of the case on?

Build your own man I had the r12 such a bad machine with avg 60fps on all games with a 11700k and 3060ti bios no good ram no good. Cost 2200 I built a better machine for 1500 with a 3070 and that alone was £750 never go alienware again.
So did they come put it back together? i thought they don't do that cause dell rep said if i change certain parts like the ram and fans and gpu and have issues not thier problem only fix it if i have issues with the parts that come with the pc lol
I'm really disappointed at the ram speeds in my R-13 12900kf rx6900xt 64gb ddr5... according to cpu-z and jedec Ram profile it will run 4800mhz. I almost wish I could do a motherboard and power supply swap. I don't quite understand why 4 dimm and 2 dimm motherboards run different speeds. And if that's the case why didn't they give us an option for that.
What I don't understand is cpu-z shows jedec profile #7 timings cl 40 39 39 77 116 @ 4800 but no way to change it in the bios. I bet you it would be easily overclocked to 5200 with XMP down the road. My Ram is sk hydnix... I'm curious what your machine came with? I ordered my machine at the end of October... it was supposed to be here at the beginning of December and I didn't get it until right before Christmas and the ram was produced 41/2021... which is mid-october. So now I'm super curious why it was delayed. My SSD is made by kioxia. It's 1t... what did your machine come with?

My r13 didn’t come with a fan shroud since I got the cheap 1650 super which is tiny. Was worried about the power supply being insufficient, but so far so good.
@@RyanYu im in Sydney, they just filled up the stock today, and listed DDR5 6000mhz $599 for 2x16gb, but originally its 5200mhz but they pushed it to 6000mhz

Good point, for me, as long as you screw in and out with the cross order that will be fine. Just don’t do the same side for the first two screws.

No, R11 won't fit other cards, the case is too small.

Nothing is attached to it from the inside.

That will be a lot mount, you may need to drill holes and cut the panels.

If I remember correctly, you will need to get the sides and top to get the front.
But you know what? Dell should send a technician on-site for this.

You can add another cooling system, but you will lose the RGB then.

Get their credit card man. You can pay it in full 12 month interest free and more discount with that account. It’s called Dell preferred account.
I would look into something else. Alienware is way overpriced for what you get.

Build your own man I had the r12 such a bad machine with avg 60fps on all games with a 11700k and 3060ti bios no good ram no good. Cost 2200 I built a better machine for 1500 with a 3070 and that alone was £750 never go alienware again.
So did they come put it back together? i thought they don't do that cause dell rep said if i change certain parts like the ram and fans and gpu and have issues not thier problem only fix it if i have issues with the parts that come with the pc lol

I'm really disappointed at the ram speeds in my R-13 12900kf rx6900xt 64gb ddr5... according to cpu-z and jedec Ram profile it will run 4800mhz. I almost wish I could do a motherboard and power supply swap. I don't quite understand why 4 dimm and 2 dimm motherboards run different speeds. And if that's the case why didn't they give us an option for that.
The OEM RAM does suck..
What I don't understand is cpu-z shows jedec profile #7 timings cl 40 39 39 77 116 @ 4800 but no way to change it in the bios. I bet you it would be easily overclocked to 5200 with XMP down the road. My Ram is sk hydnix... I'm curious what your machine came with? I ordered my machine at the end of October... it was supposed to be here at the beginning of December and I didn't get it until right before Christmas and the ram was produced 41/2021... which is mid-october. So now I'm super curious why it was delayed. My SSD is made by kioxia. It's 1t... what did your machine come with?

@BigFishTech Love your videos man. I definitely used this one a lot yesterday. Installed a ROG Strix 3090 white edition. Fits like a glove and looks great with the lunar light case. My r13 didn’t come with a fan shroud since I got the cheap 1650 super which is tiny. Was worried about the power supply being insufficient, but so far so good.
