Story Summary :-
Op is a successful journalist; she works at one of the top magazine companies in the country, and that is how she is able to fund her luxurious lifestyle. Unfortunately, hard times hit Op’s father, who lost his job and is no longer able to take care of himself financially. Op offers to pay the rent for an apartment that her father and stepmother will be living in and also help them out financially.
Op’s stepmom gets offered a personal assistant position at Op’s workplace with the help of Op. Op believes that working at the same workplace as her stepmom will help their relationship, and she uses this opportunity to get closer to her stepmom. Op misses a big, important meeting and is immediately fired.
Worried and stressed, she turns to her stepmother to try to confide in her but is met with a cold shoulder and insults. Shocked and hurt, Op distances herself
from both her father and stepmom. Op then finds out from her friend Jane that the reason she got fired is because Op’s stepmom never gave Op the details about the meeting that was scheduled. Op’s stepmom was instructed to email Op all the details for the meeting, but Op’s stepmom never did any of that, meaning that Op’s stepmom sabotaged her.
Op decides to get revenge against her stepmom by exposing the news that she is having an affair with her supervisor. With Jane’s help, she is able to obtain evidence of the affair and how she was unfairly fired from her job because her stepmom roped in her supervisor to help her get Op fired. Op then decides to stop helping out her father because he doesn’t see anything wrong with his wife’s actions.

The step mom won but didn't win. She got the father to herself but her lifestyle is screwed now that daughter doesn't give money to her dad. So boom there goes the apartment.there goes the nice stuff all funded by daughter. If I was the daughter I'd take trips all over the world and take pics and caption I could never do this while funding my dad and stepmoms ungrateful lives.but I'm free I'm happy and glad they are out of my life. OP'S father is a fool. Why if he wasn't paying attention to stepmother, didn't stepmother ask him why he was being distant towards her? In fact he could have asked stepmonster why she is distant from him? It would be funny if stepmonster still was seeing the exsupervisor still.

There are truly some wicked women out there. That old nursery rhyme that girls are sugar and spice and everything nice is the biggest misnomer in all of history. Even as a young woman myself I always had male roommates, way less drama. I only grew up with male siblings and cousins and I work in a male dominated trade, lucky me. I feel like I avoided a bunch of drama in my life.
It's obvious that evil stepmom is jealous of op so she tried to what she could to ruin op. But people like her aren't as smart as they think they are. I'm not surprised that she screamed, tried to assault op and hurl insults like a crazed psycho in front of EVERYONE after she was exposed. She showed how she hates and jealous of op. She made it clear that she hates that her husband cares about op and it's not just about her like she wants. People like that are vile, disgusting and pathetic.
With OP getting whatever she wants... Even if that WAS true, it seems like she spends HER money on it, so.... While I cringe about private yachts, jets and luxury cars, there's really nothing wrong with spoiling yourself with YOUR money that YOU worked hard for.

Jane was the hero of the story. She might've been bending morals to get evidence, but, as OP said, it had to be done.
And with OP giving her stepmom a chance... There's really nothing wrong with that. The good thing is, the stepmom crossed the line, and OP basically said to herself, "Never again", and cut her off. OP was a saint, and the stepmom sabotaged her despite her help, which is absolutely disgusting.

Getting the job of supervisor, which "happened to be vacant", is compensation by the CEO and HR. If HR did their job, they would have check the the procedure. They should have checked the whole thing for errors to protect the company.
I'm not saying she isn't fit for the job, just the timing got "rushed".
Op father still forgives her wife after everything she was cheating on him I just don't understand why you still forgiving that woman even though she was cheating on the supervisor some rich men out there are so blinded by love. I think OP did the right thing. Her fatjer chose a ceating woman ober his own daughter. He obviously IS a door mat. Seems he has an issue with being alone.the supervisor and mother in law deserved to get fired. At least OP got her job bacl as well as a promotion

I have to agree with you on this story. OP'S stepmother is a self centered narcissistic piece of work! She doesn't care who she hurts in the long run. I'm so glad that Jane (her best friend and colleague ) told OP about her stepmother and that she caught her stepmother having an affair with OP'S boss. OP'S boss fired OP without looking into situation or having probability to find out the cause. What he did was totally wrong on all levels of life.
I'm glad that she got an attorney for such time as this. Her stepmother's boss found what she did and he fired her right along with OP'S boss on the spot!😊

I hate to say this but your supervisor had an issue because you weren't sleeping with him so when your stepmother stepped in and took over to role of his wife and that's when he decided that anything your step mom said was correct and anything you said f*** you and that's why you always need to wear a recorder on you at all times whether it be voice or video with voice because otherwise you're going to get screwed sorry but this is the United States of America and the flag should not be red white and blue it should be green and painted like red white and blue because nobody gives a s*** about anything but money that's how it works in this country sorry nobody thinks that correctly but that's how it works here look how many people are homeless how little the government cares about us out let's go even further how little the government cares about minors in this country but don't mind sending billions of dollars to another country to save minors that well the country has no safety
