Ok Rie had the hottest take on candy bars I've ever heard. A whole-sized snickers really IS too much! She really said chill the fuck out with all that sugar!
The mini Snickers can be covered in peanut butter cookie dough, then baked at 25°F lower temp for a bit longer until done. The candy melts and flattens inside, giving you a taste of chocolate and caramel each bite. And best eaten warm.
In the UK, we can get some bars in a 'duo' pack, with two smaller pieces. More overall than a single bar, but you can share or eat half far more neatly. You can also just refrigerate a whole one and cut with a knife.
Americans like peanut butter for the same reason French people like croissants and Japanese people Like Susi, it was invented here and gained popularity here first. Pretty simple. (Also yeah government subsidies to peanut farmers so it's a very cheap protein.)

Shane is so right about the Reese's wrapper thing. I never really thought about it but its like CLASSIC that Reese's stick to the little wrapper paper and you lose a little chocolate, usually on the bottom. I've never thought about it, but not once in the past 3 years have I ever bought a Reese's and had that happen. Also, Rie choosing snickers almond over the regular snickers? my own chef's kiss moment. I didn't even know they were a thing until last year and ive never been a big peanut person but i do really like almonds. always was sad cause snickers seemed great aside from the peanuts to me, so the almond ones were revolutionary
This year, reese's Nutrageous started appearing on some supermarket shelves here in Australia, and immediately I thought of Shane's Reese's Top 5 List. I tried it for the first time today, and I gotta say that it's definitely the best peanut bar in the game! Texture is way better than both picnic or snickers. Something about the whole half peanuts is really good, and it's not too sticky.
So Ryan says “I don’t like eating candy bars that make me immediately see a dentist” then 3 secs later says Butterfinger. Lmao whaaaa I love butterfinger but holy shit does it get stuck in teeth!
as someone from illinois i’m backing shane up about the pearson’s salted nut bar i worked at a concession stand when i was younger and when it wasn’t paydays we would sell those bad boys

I'm from Southwest Michigan and heeeellllss yeah! I used to work concession stands during middle and highschool and they would fly off the shelves along with little cartons of milk. Very old fashioned, very delicious.
Gotta agree with Shane on the salted nut roll. It's a sweet vanilla nougat fluff coated with caramel and covered with salted peanuts. It's amazing. I once bought what I thought was a box with a bunch of individually wrapped nut rolls for Christmas for my crew. Turns out it was a single limited edition 5 pound salted nut log. It lasted a while, but we managed to finish it off. However, they're wrong about the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. Justin's dark chocolate peanut butter cup is much better, especially if you chill it in the fridge before you eat it. Again, it's amazing.

Quarantine has hit our tall demon boy pretty hard
Shane if Mr. Reeses is behind the camera holding a gun to your head, blink twice
RYAN'S RAGE GETTING MUTED OH MY GOD HAHAHAHAHAH
shane obviously likes reese's because they're basically peanut butter pies with a chocolate crust
??? huh??
I wouldn't blame him
I'm the same
"there will be no regionals, it has to be available world wide"
Shane: okay what about this very regional candy bar
Finally, they got Rie!!!
Shane’s list is perfect and as a Midwesterner I can in fact say we do love a salted nut roll.
MIDWEST RISE UP
I would LOVE to try a salted nut roll! 😋
salted nut rolls are so good
YASSSS!!! They’re so good!
Rie catching literally EVERYONE off guard by saying "don't @ me" has been the highlight of my week
SHOUT OUT TO TOBLERONES SO GLAD TO SEE THEM ON THIS LIST
So Ryan says “I don’t like eating candy bars that make me immediately see a dentist” then 3 secs later says Butterfinger. Lmao whaaaa I love butterfinger but holy shit does it get stuck in teeth!
My thoughts exactly.
as someone from illinois i’m backing shane up about the pearson’s salted nut bar i worked at a concession stand when i was younger and when it wasn’t paydays we would sell those bad boys
This might be a slight generational gap thing? I’m from the town next to Shane’s hometown and I’ve never even heard of Pearson’s before! It looks awfully familiar but I don’t think I’ve had it before.
@@RaynaCheong oh for sure. same here i just remember seeing those guys by the other candy we’d sell. never had one myself either
I'm from Southwest Michigan and heeeellllss yeah! I used to work concession stands during middle and highschool and they would fly off the shelves along with little cartons of milk. Very old fashioned, very delicious.
disclaimer: we will do commercial, world wide bars
shane: M I D W E S T
These people never had a Kinder Bueno and it shows.
Kinder is surprisingly not big in the US, mostly because the eggs are prohibited
Agreeeed
YOU'RE SO RIGHT!!
I would disagree and say that the Kinder Duplo takes the number 1 spot hands down
@@biteme434 I would need a sample of that to judge. Just saying.
The fact that Shane used his Chef Kiss on Ryan getting dunked on was a plot twist I did not know I needed lmao
I love that rie and Shane have interesting, lesser known types of candy, and ryan is just super famous candy.
Rie: You Americans love peanut butter
Me, with my 6 jars of peanut butter in the cabinet rn: ...
