Wow that's steam paddle boat is beautiful Frank. Isn't there a steam paddle boat that you can rent a room out on the Murray River still and spend a night.
@@captainfrank01 Does Doug know how to prepare/cook carp? A friend recently gave me a piece of beer battered carp belly which was delicious and had no bones or ‘fishy-muddy’ flavour.
I have never eaten carp Glen, but would be willing to try it if it was prepared properly OR if I didn’t know what it was 🤣 my favourite freshwater fish like Robbie (I think) is definitely Redfin Perch...
1) Would love to know when the merch on Doug's hats go on sale ?! 2) What size hooks ? 3) You staying in the riverland this weekend? Ill keep an eye out for ya
1. Doug's hats are exclusive, I can't even get one. 2. I use size 8's, Doug goes even smaller - I think he got the bigger carp on a 12. 3. No, it was just a day trip.
The hat is a “BassPro” hat I got in Canada a few years ago... VERY good quality, I wear that a lot so Frank can’t see me😂 Yesterday I was using 8 hooks but just before I caught the 10lber I changed that rod to a 10 and put a smaller bait on... which when you think about it, you’d think it would work better with a bigger hook and bait, BUT the bigger fish are bigger ‘cause they are more cautious and more warey of unfamiliar objects.👍
Great video again Frank & Doug. Thanx.
Cheers Dave!
one of our favourite spots, had a few good hauls there, cheers boys
Sorry to pinch your spot then, we just chose it at random!
Well we caught a few today... and lost a few too, but we saw some nice things and most of all WE HAD A LARF 😂 good one Frank. 👍
We certainly did Doug, always a pleasure 👍👍👍
Good morning dug good morning Frank and they always say the early bird catches the first worm in your case the carp. 😊
Exactly!
Was fishing not too far away, quite nice callop to be caught
Great stuff, were you in a boat? I think where we were was really only going to be a carp spot, we never hooked a native.

Pretty impressive, eh? Yes, there are.
Looks like you boys had a good day.
Thanks Glen, yes we did, although not such a good day for the carp!
@@captainfrank01 Not for the carp but the pelicans send their compliments to the chefs!
@@glenbaker4024 They should too, those carp were fresh as and very aldente 😁😁😁
