That was great, I really enjoyed this. I love bait fishing. Back in the Lake Mokoan days we use to use that exact same rig and technique with yabbies. The yellas would hammer them!

Luben, I came back here to say , I used that technique today, from the bank,, I caught 2 nice yellas,, a 39cm and a 37cm.. that was excellent advice. I used 2 night crawlers, and a size1 hook, but I used a small red bead, and 2 pea sinkers. Thankyou again.

Good to see there is more than just carp in the river down there compared to up my way. Great video and that was a great battle to get that last fish out from the snag even though it was only a carp

Gday mate, where’d u get the platypus line from? Do u think a 2-4 kilo rod would hold a nice yella? I’ve got 3 rods, Shakespeare BAITCASTER (not very expensive, like 80 bucks), ugly stick balance 3-5 kilo and a 2-4 kilo Shakespeare hot rod (I got it for free)
Love u content mate, keep up the great work!

Beautiful video mate, any idea how the ones with fin rot turn out? Do you have to report it to fisheries like we do with red spot on the east coast? Good to see there are nice numbers of yellas around anyway cheers

Don’t know how you got that Carp up out of the timber. It’s actually law I think not to put them back in any Aussie system. Bloody dirty things, who ever thought to bring the bastard fish over from wherever in the past, idiot. I’m gonna follow yr lead and pump some nippers and try them in local up here on the Mid North Coast. Having no luck with my lure fishing of late. Look yr definitely a lot better fisherman than me, to me that’s obvious. I’ve got a long way to go to catch up with the likes of you. But I should be catching a lot more. I reckon I’m the most unlucky of fishermen out there. Just can’t get onto them. Whether Bream on bread. Flathead on paddle tails and Bream on grubs, I haven’t got more than two in any session in two years. Can’t seem to smash it like some of you guys do. What’s my problem, just seems to get worse and worse. I remember a recent session, where on nippers I got twelve undersize fish in a row on nippers when a few weeks before I’d caught two and they were both legal from same spot. Another time using some great locally bought paddle tails fishing local Breakwall. Anyway got smashed again and again. Saw all the bite marks. Came back all chewed up, failed to hook one, getting desperate. Anyway, any tips. Love yr channel mate, see ya.
