Hi Carl, I know you probably won’t read this but I just want you to know that your videos are like therapy for me. I watch them whenever I’m relaxing or doing something where I can divide my concentration between the task and one of your videos. You inspire me to get better at fishing and to try new techniques and approaches. Thank you for your work and keep up your wonderful style, there really are only a very few creators who stand out like this for me.

So I had all my tackle stolen in December, it really knocked my confidence and passion for carp fishing knowing how long it will take to buy it all back. But watching this video has re-sparked something and given me the motivation to start to rebuild my kit, thank you! Awesome video!

I’ve been trying to make a good fishing video for months but I can’t quite get them good enough. Every time I watch one of Carl’s videos it inspires me to try again. It’s hard as I’m only 12 years old and since no one I know has a clue about fishing. I’ve learned everything from your channel Carl.

Keep going!! It took me 16 years of practice. Fishing, editing and story telling really isn't a skill really doesn't happen over night, just got to keep at it! Keeping learning all you can, and gain new skills too. I learned a lot working for companies doing it too when I was a teenager :)
Your content just keeps getting better and better mann, dare I say it..... Carl and Alex becoming just Carl has improved BOTH of your channels for the best. So so glad it didn't go the other way for either of you 👌

This is what carp fishing is all about. I've lived this journey a few times on some different campaigns here in Michigan, making this film extremely relatable: the driving, the blanking, zero signs of carp, almost no information, the poor access, and most disheartening, your own mom and other close people telling you that it's a waste of time. But when you do finally land that one fish, the experience is almost incomprehensible.
At the edge of my seat for the whole video! With your knowledge you done the right thing to carry on, which paid off massively in my opinion. Great video Carl.

The choreography on this is world class. As is the fishing. Hats off to you! That lake is absolutely pristine as well. The people who live there are so lucky to have it at their disposal.

I have been despairing recently fishing along with the younger generation of anglers. It seems that so many young anglers miss the point of fishing! You and your brothers journey restores my faith in the younger generation. You encompass the very essence of fishing in every way. Well done for getting the whole experience right!!!! And more to the point teaching a new audience the path of the true angler. You are inspirational. 🙏

Awesome story! Thank you. I can relate to the fact of not having success at a new venue but keep wanting to go back. Same thing happened to me when I started fishing a park lake this year. I just had to go back. And only landed a carp on my 5th session. The feeling is amazing! Keep up the good work. You have no idea the impact that all of your videos had on my success as an angler. So much so that I can now help other people and young kids who are starting to fish. My first piece of advice to them are to go and watch all your videos.

There is something about the unknown . It has a feeling I think that's better than hitting a water knowing that there's a 40lber . The phonecall from Ali , a reasonably well known angler 🤣 I'd lose my mind with a phonecall from a legend like that . Love the content keep up all the hard work and it will always pay off 👌

Saturday is usually a slow day for videos from the people I subscribe to. It is always a treat to see a Fish with Carl video on Saturdays (as it would be any other day of the week). this video reminds my why i choose fishing, going on a new lake and never know what youre gonna catch /if you"re gonna catch makes you want do do it more and more, never to give up even you're gonna have sessions with no fish at the end of your line. I regularly pass that lake and have done for years , in the past it was possible to see the expanse of the lake and would stop and watch and would regularly see signs , but as times changed fences went up and seeing the lake was impossible from the road . Im sure like many anglers who pass this lake wondering what it holds it’s great to know our dreaming was in fact worthwhile, and to see such a beautiful fish on the bank really is special . Well fished , and deserved following your dream as a young man and making your hobby your job gave you this opportunity 👏

The amount of times I have stayed there and sat at the bar at night staring at the lake wondering if it has carp in it. It’s a stunning lake and I had never seen anyone fish it before. Great work mate and congratulations!

Great video. A lake like that, the hope of the unknown, captures the real essence of carp fishing that's so lost in today's modern scene. There's a big lake near me thats privately owned by one house that they don't let anyone fish... That I know 20 plus years ago someone caught a 36 from...instillnhave that feeling about this lake that you captured in your video but the harsh reality is with the amount of otters etc old fish in these old decaying lakes are very nearly all gone. The fact that mirror hamidi caught 20 years ago is still swimming around happily in there with hardly any fishing pressure is awesome. Well done.

Cant tell you how much I enjoyed this. I fished this water years ago from the same garden as Ali. If I remember correctly the couple who owned the house kept the rig he used. Huge well done, didnt give up.

Yeah, i worked briefly with the couples daughter. She passed comment where she lived and after a chat got invited to fish. Think they had a picture in a box or frame with his rig.
I believe poachers have been removed by armed police many moons ago due to the calibre of people in those homes.
