@hellsfavoritesaltyberserke4724 It doesn't suck, what are you basing your opinion on? I've seen the switch from TouchWiz to One UI and all One UI versions since 1.0 . The current OS is the smoothest, most consistent ever. I have an S23U (Temp) and I usually use my S21U. Even with older hardware One UI 6.0 is smooth & it doesn't lag or stutter. Your either just unlucky or your talking out of your ass, respectfully.

They give ya a bunch of new numbers but don't show in real World use a comparison. This channel shows the real life comparison and as yall can see there's very little difference to justify "upgrading" all the time.
The S21 Ultra was so far the best phone I ever had. Recently, the display had a hardware malfunction and I am thinking about using my warranty money to get the s24 ultra. Part of me is also considering to just get a new S21 Ultra and save money. I never had any issues with that phone before and I've been using it for almost 4 years now

Honestly cant go wrong with the s21 ultra.. till this day it holds up well!! Honestly, my favorite looking design out of all of them, wish they kept the same or similar design in the other ones. I know eventually would have to upgrade but for now im still happy with my s21 ultra, & the technology is still pretty much the same. Not missing out on much!
Thanks so much for this! 1 week in, and I see a major difference in running cooler / not overheating. The camera is underwhelming compared to my S21U. The circle-to-search looks like it will be valuable. I got the deal through my carrier for $5/mo with trade (3 years), so I'm happy with it. At higher cost it would have been disappointing. The biggest thing I can't understand is the fascination they have with the square corners. Much less comfortable than the S21U, even with a case.

The only reason I upgraded is because Verizon was running a $1000 off deal if you trade in an old phone in any condition. I had a S10+ with a broken screen and that's what I traded in. I'm keeping my S21 Ultra and using it when I fly my drones. The S24 is pretty sick though.
i have the QUALCOMM s21 ultra and it's still great. It doesn't get past warm. The S24 Ultra is better but as a third iteration since S21U is not worth the upgrade yet. Thanks for the upload.
The only issue in s21u is the battery life and overheating issue. They fixed is it in s24u. In my opinion that is the major upgrade from s21u to s24u. Camera hardware and software for me they are still minor changes, just improving image quality yearly in every model. But the design and built quality still a preference to the user. I still love the design of s21u due to its curve edges rather than the boxy feels of s24u. They both have vibrant screen panel and bezeless design!❤ nice comparision👍
Personally I used the S8 +, the S9 +, the S10 +, the S 20 ultra, the S 21 Ultra, the S22 Ultra, the S23 Ultra as well as the Note 8, the Note 9, the Note 10 +, the Note 20 Ultra. I think the best of these smartphones is the S23 Ultra. I'm currently using it and I don't want to change it at the moment. Regarding the S21 Ultra, I liked it but I find that it is no match for the S23 Ultra. And for the moment the S24 Ultra doesn't speak to me especially since many Artificial Intelligence features will be available in a few months. However, if someone is comfortable with the S21 ultra they don't have to change. My S21 Ultra just got the new update with some AI features and circle to search. It's a solid device. Everything is holding great, I'll wait for the s25 ultra to (maybe) upgrade, otherwise I'm just replacing the battery

I’m seriously thinking about going back to android after being tired of my iPhone. I’m actually considering the S21 or S22 Ultra along with a couple different Pixels. Idk which I’ll go with yet out of Galaxy or Pixel. I have two main concerns with Samsung phones in particular(the older ones): call quality and the colored lines on the screen issue for older Galaxies. I had an Amazon renewed S21 FE a few years ago and the call quality using it to the ear was terrible. Speakerphone was ok but not much better but usable. Samsung users, how do your phones do on calls both to the ear and on speaker? And the colored lines on displays is really concerning too. I’ve owned a couple Pixels before too and while they tend to overheat and have random bugs and glitches, I’ve never had a problem on calls except for typical static all phones get and my calls would randomly forward straight to voicemail on occasion. But the clarity on the Pixels and volume were both much better. I wanted to love my Samsung but the lack of solid call performance made me go running back to iPhone.

About 7 months ago bought a used S21 ultra 128gb for $200, it's been acting wonky lately so with the pre order incentives I pulled the trigger. So with that said out of pocket it was $883 with taxes..that is the black ultra 512gb, plus free buds pro 2 (instant Samsung cash back) and $550 trade for my $21. So l'm happy for the next several years.

Battery life on s21u might be not as good as the s24u , but still good enough. I have the s21u configured to save battery life with some tricks I found online and I limit the charging to 85% and it still holds for a while day with a lot of use
@@africanbarbhie you can change the display settings like switching to dark mode, refresh rate on 60 and lower the resolution...there are a lot more things you can do . Just type on TH-cam: tips on battery saving for s21u ultra

Now, I think that if you have an S22 or an S23, it is not worth the change because all the artificial intelligence features will reach these devices. I don't know if that will be the case in the S21! but where I saw a lot of difference is in the quality of the photos and videos between the s21 and s24! There is a big improvement on the s24 in that regard! I imagine there will also be a significant improvement in overheating and battery life.

yeah the S21 ultra still works for me don't see any reason to upgrade right now plus I hate having to transfer all my files and work apps something always goes wrong or not compatible!! cheers!
Similar thoughts here however after 3.5 years of usage the battery lasts barely 7 to 8 hours which forced me to upgrade to s24 u today. It seems to be a persistent problem with all the samsung smartphones i have used. Video quality in s21 ultra is bad need to fond out s24u when i receive the set today.
I tried the S21 Ultra when it was the newest back in 2021! It was amazing! I had a iPhone XR for 5 years & 1 day the battery wasn't good anymore! I upgraded to the Samsung S24 Ultra 2 month ago & its a very nice phone!
I have S21 Ultra, and I can say S24 Ultra has a much better battery(comparing when S21U was just bought), and 10x zoom is also better, its much lighter in any conditions and has more details. Also in night S24U takes photos much faster and in night mode it takes 1 second instead of 3-5 on S21U.
@georgehagi4703 I would say S24U is faster as it is 3 years difference but in daily tasks this maybe is not so visible. Sound is louder and more bass/surround like I would say.

Snapdragon! I have the 128gb snapdragon s21 ultra. It's the best phone I've ever purchased. I thought about the s24 ultra. But it's not a big enough upgrade. I'll stick with my 21 ultra.
The only reason im considering upgrading is for continued security updates. The need to upgrade periodically because of time limited support is the only reason i never pay for the device upfront. Just trying to decide if i should take advantage of the crazy deals now or hold out until this time next year.
Had S21U for 2.5 years and dropped in beach accidents and it just stopped working bought a iPhone 12 to use. But now need to get the either S24 plus or S23u. Loved te size of S21U. I'm due to upgrade from my S21U and can get some decent discounts on Samsung but both the S24U and ZF6 leave me completely disappointed at the stagnation. The Honor Magic 3 is much more tempting but also far more expensive with no sales (yet).
Much better sound on the s21u.. No phone beats it yet, especially not the s24u..kept the s23u and s24u for 2 days, they sounded like something is wrong, like the sound was coming from far away or inside a well! Screen is better aswell, much more vibrant colors. Just my 2 cents here! I sell and repair phones for a living.
I have the exynos (yuck, I know) version of the S21 U and it is still fast, but is lagging with Good Lock and when I multi-task. It is also sadly falling apart and the battery life is dismal, it was never good on this version but almost three years have also taken a toll on it, so I will be upgrading this year to the S24 U, I wanted to wait for the S25, but oh well

I had the S21 ultra until 2 months ago when it got a green line (Exynos problem) and btw , I had it in mint condition, no drops etc. it got one on its own. But the phone imo was perfect. But bad thermals and battery + bad modem was a real issue on the s21U. But I loved it's design. Currently on the S23U

ngl I feel a bit stupid for upgrading. I'm looking at both phones and actually paid more for the 21 than the 24 Ultra because of the VZW promo (I bought the earlier phone with cash because it was an emergency). I've done the smart switch, but haven't activated the 24U yet: I think I like the old phone BETTER 😐Definitely like the curved edges better. But I was sold on the anti-glare screen and that really is nice. I'm torn: send the new one back? (The new one runs cooler, has the 512G storage). I'm at an impasse rn. But overall ITA: it's *comparable* and really, it shouldn't be comparable for the 3 year older model. (Is it any wonder VZW was throwing in tablets and watches "free" with the $1000 off retail deal? It's NOT worth the upgrade, really.)

I totally agree with you(and I am a Samsung Knight). There just isn't enough here to warrant an upgrade (holding on to my S23 ultra).

A little correction regarding the S Pen, there are differences, for example on the S21 Ultra you can't use the S Pen as a remote shutter.

I’ve owned a couple Pixels before too and while they tend to overheat and have random bugs and glitches, I’ve never had a problem on calls except for typical static all phones get and my calls would randomly forward straight to voicemail on occasion. But the clarity on the Pixels and volume were both much better. I wanted to love my Samsung but the lack of solid call performance made me go running back to iPhone.
S21 Ultra is like Lebron James. Old but still gold.

As a note, you can screen capture on Samsung with the sidebar tools and then Google search the screen shot. This is similar to the circle feature you showed earlier.
Even on Redmi Note 9 Pro, which also includes freeform screenshots. One could easily share with Google Lens to search. Only an extra step, wouldn't kill.

Battery life on s21u might be not as good as the s24u , but still good enough. I have the s21u configured to save battery life with some tricks I found online and I limit the charging to 85% and it still holds for a while day with a lot of use
Aside setting charging limit to 85 what other truck should I use

Now, I think that if you have an S22 or an S23, it is not worth the change because all the artificial intelligence features will reach these devices. I don't know if that will be the case in the S21! but where I saw a lot of difference is in the quality of the photos and videos between the s21 and s24! There is a big improvement on the s24 in that regard! I imagine there will also be a significant improvement in overheating and battery life.
the s21 ultra unlocked refurbished is only 300 dollars on amazon thats a great deal. You are not getting an s pen which is fine

The day before yesterday I bought a used S23 Ultra with 512 GB of space. And I can say that its edges sting my palm. And somehow I miss the S21 Ultra.

Similar thoughts here however after 3.5 years of usage the battery lasts barely 7 to 8 hours which forced me to upgrade to s24 u today. It seems to be a persistent problem with all the samsung smartphones i have used.
Video quality in s21 ultra is bad need to fond out s24u when i receive the set today.
I tried the S21 Ultra when it was the newest back in 2021! It was amazing! I had a iPhone XR for 5 years & 1 day the battery wasn't good anymore! I upgraded to the Samsung S24 Ultra 2 month ago & its a very nice phone!

Wow. The zoomed video on th 24cis a huge improvement.
I have S21 Ultra, and I can say S24 Ultra has a much better battery(comparing when S21U was just bought), and 10x zoom is also better, its much lighter in any conditions and has more details. Also in night S24U takes photos much faster and in night mode it takes 1 second instead of 3-5 on S21U.
How about speed and sound
@georgehagi4703 I would say S24U is faster as it is 3 years difference but in daily tasks this maybe is not so visible. Sound is louder and more bass/surround like I would say.
snapdragon 8 gen 3 is definitely a worthwhile upgrade

Having used the both models, there is almost no difference, but really none.
The only difference is that the Snapdragon model is slightly better in night video.

Snapdragon! I have the 128gb snapdragon s21 ultra. It's the best phone I've ever purchased. I thought about the s24 ultra. But it's not a big enough upgrade. I'll stick with my 21 ultra.
The only reason im considering upgrading is for continued security updates. The need to upgrade periodically because of time limited support is the only reason i never pay for the device upfront. Just trying to decide if i should take advantage of the crazy deals now or hold out until this time next year.

Had S21U for 2.5 years and dropped in beach accidents and it just stopped working bought a iPhone 12 to use. But now need to get the either S24 plus or S23u. Loved te size of S21U. I'm due to upgrade from my S21U and can get some decent discounts on Samsung but both the S24U and ZF6 leave me completely disappointed at the stagnation. The Honor Magic 3 is much more tempting but also far more expensive with no sales (yet).

Much better sound on the s21u.. No phone beats it yet, especially not the s24u..kept the s23u and s24u for 2 days, they sounded like something is wrong, like the sound was coming from far away or inside a well! Screen is better aswell, much more vibrant colors. Just my 2 cents here! I sell and repair phones for a living.
I have the exynos (yuck, I know) version of the S21 U and it is still fast, but is lagging with Good Lock and when I multi-task.
It is also sadly falling apart and the battery life is dismal, it was never good on this version but almost three years have also taken a toll on it, so I will be upgrading this year to the S24 U, I wanted to wait for the S25, but oh well

My delima is that if I look for any recent non-ultra phone, I feel like I already own a better one and it feels like a downgrade... I am thinking of getting s23 ultra to strike a right balance of tech and money.
I had the S21 ultra until 2 months ago when it got a green line (Exynos problem) and btw , I had it in mint condition, no drops etc. it got one on its own. But the phone imo was perfect. But bad thermals and battery + bad modem was a real issue on the s21U. But I loved it's design. Currently on the S23U

ngl I feel a bit stupid for upgrading. I'm looking at both phones and actually paid more for the 21 than the 24 Ultra because of the VZW promo (I bought the earlier phone with cash because it was an emergency). I've done the smart switch, but haven't activated the 24U yet: I think I like the old phone BETTER 😐Definitely like the curved edges better. But I was sold on the anti-glare screen and that really is nice. I'm torn: send the new one back? (The new one runs cooler, has the 512G storage). I'm at an impasse rn. But overall ITA: it's *comparable* and really, it shouldn't be comparable for the 3 year older model.
(Is it any wonder VZW was throwing in tablets and watches "free" with the $1000 off retail deal? It's NOT worth the upgrade, really.)
