"Ecosystem" isnt a thing anymore. everything works with everything unless its apple that only plays with itself.
My Sony earbuds is atm dually connected to my Lenovo PC and Samsung phone, or to samsung watch and even Macbook.
All my content is available on all divices through the Google or Microsoft account. Even copy and paste between Android and Windows .

I tried iPhone for half a year and I am coming back rather disappointed. I cannot even send a file to anything not Apple without a hassle. Even my 20 year old Sony Ericsson with mechanical keyboard could do that. What I dislike about Apple the most is that they COULD, but just decided not to. iMessage is not available on other platforms, they retracted it. Bluetooth just doesn't work like on anything else. To upload a video to GDrive I have to keep my screen on with GDrive open. Like WTF. Third party password managers don't work most of the time. Etc. Etc. Apple ecosystem is not superior. They just make everything else look like it sucks.
The only problem is when people start comparing $150 Android phone with $1000 iPhone. Surprisingly, the 7x more expensive iPhone is the better phone out of those two...

I was a loyal iPhone user since the first one. Once they went to esim only here in the US I decided to jump ship. I did have the 15 pro max for about a month but I did end up selling it. I like most techies enjoy trying out different device and not being able to just pop my sim in was a real downside. Having to reach out to my carrier to swap around the esim wasn't fun. I kept a 13 pro max for a while but eventually realized that I could live without iOS. My husband prefers WhatsApp so iMessage was no longer a worry. I was using Google photos before the switch so again I felt safe to just move completely. I toggle between the S24 Ultra and the OnePlus 12 both of which I preordered and I do love both. The S24 is probably superior, but the battery and charging speeds of the OnePlus can't be ignored. Both devices are fantastic, the cameras are superb. I wasn't sure if I'd get used to the flat panel after having the S23 Ultra but the anti reflective screen was a more than fair trade off...it's awesome

I think the biggest problem with iPhone is the Fandom... Anytime I'm having a discussion with an Apple fan boys they keep bringing their opinions into the discussion as though they are facts smh. The ecosystem is so good, OK what makes it so good? Apple fan boys: it works it doesn't lag it's the best.. I'm like first off the top end Androids don't lag and actually are faster and they work in a much larger ecosystem so if it doesn't work perfectly at times it's because it's ecosystem is so much bigger Samsung/android compatible with Microsoft, Google and not to mention everything Samsung makes appliances just to name one. Apple not compatible with anything except Apple and their ecosystem is not large so it better work perfectly considering how little it has to pair with compared to everything Samsung/android pair with smh...

The deciding factor for me was notifications. I've been an Android user since the beginning, but I started to noticed that notifications were being delayed or missed. I even set all of my apps to unrestricted battery usage. I placed my Pixel 8 Pro next to my newly purchased iPhone 15 Pro Max. I noticed my notifications came through normally on the iPhone but the Pixel was delayed. I then noticed X/Twitter notifications were sometimes completely missed on my Pixel. After researching I learned about the Android doze feature. This causes the notification delay. Hopefully they'll find another way to optimize because I really do prefer Android.

I just bought my 14 Pro Max last month, and then, starting last week I kept thinking of trading my 14 Pro Max for the S24 U, but however due to the country I currently live in; the vast majority of the population in this country uses Messenger, because with iPhone, I can just hold to peek messages whereas the S24 U does not, unless if they start switching to Telegram. For now, I’m thinking of saving up my money for the S25 U next year. Enjoy your newly bought S24 U 🎉

iPhone "simplicity" comes in the form of multiple user interactions to do the same function (go back is either a swipe, left, down, or a button in the app, or a button at the top left) (incoming phone call screen can take one of 3 or 4 different forms depending on circumstances I cant seem to understand). Also the fact that your ringer volume is not tied to the volume buttons at all, and if you don't know how to dig into the settings your ears will be blasted by notifications through BT headphones. And you cannot disable certain sounds that are annoying and intrusive without silencing your whole phone ( I never need a screenshot to make a sound, I don't want the camera to make a sound, I don't want to hear 9 different reaction notifications from a group chat, and I don't want to mute my entire phone to achieve this)

There are many other features to worry about more than the camera quality. For example the iPhone still doesn't have the status bar on top and as an android user this was one of the reasons I couldn't bear the iPhone 15 max pro.
The notifications in android are way better.
The UX is better. The iPhone doesn't have that consistency in the way you do things. Some things you close by sliding, like others by tapping!
You can't view a wifi password while you type it in iPhone.
In my opinion iPhone is for mediocre users who dare not venture outside and discover all the wonders by android mobiles manufacturers

I've pretty much tried it all. Been switching between between iPhone and various Android based platforms for as long as smartphones have been out. In my opinion, these days for the average user they work pretty much the same, flagship phones cost the same and they can do the same. It doesn't really matter for the average consumer. The major differences is that if you are interested in tech, apps or just generally nerding around with your phone, Android has a lot, and i mean a looooot more experimental apps and Android lets you do a lot more with your phone than Apple due to it's open source nature. Apple kind of wants to decide what you can do with your phone which is fine. Most people wont feel limited in their daily use of their iPhone.

I wish they would just approve it, we know it's not as accurate as a cuffed blood pressure machine aka a sphygmomanometer, but it's good enough to see if your BP is running high or low. Like the FDA approved the ECG, the pulse oximeter, body composition measurement, stress measurement, sleep monitor, and the pulse rate sensor, but for some reason they draw the line at the BP monitor. After I calibrated the BP monitor I checked vs my cuffed BP machine and in both the systolic and diastolic it was off by one point. Sorry for the rant. I do hope you continue to enjoy the S24 ultra I know I will. PS since the Note 9 I cannot go to a phone without an S Pen.

I must correct you in something (there were a few other things, but it doesn't matter). RCS is ABSOLUTELY the messaging standard. It's quite LITERALLY the messaging standard.
So much so that Apple is being almost forced to comply with it.

I tried out the s24 ultra for a couple weeks recently. I enjoyed being able to download torrents directly to my phone and stream the files to my google TV, also enjoyed the ability to use adguard to block ads and trackers systemwide. But everything else is a far cry, the app quality has a HUGE way to go compared to counterparts on iOS, the system animations I just couldn't find a way to make them nearly as smooth as on iOS. So in conclusion, I can see myself probably using a Google Pixel in the feature as I don't want to pay thousands for a new iPhone after my 15 Pro ages enough. I don't see smooth animations and a bit of app quality as enough to make me spend so much more when I can grab a used Pixel 8 for pretty much half price off of facebok marketplace just a few months after it got launched....

I recently returned my Galaxy S24 and reverted to my original Galaxy S23. Despite the S24 boasting improvements like stronger glass, it fell short in crucial areas. Firstly, apps constantly force closed, disrupting usability. Secondly, its battery life was noticeably worse, draining much faster than the S23. Additionally, the S24 tended to heat up quickly, causing discomfort during prolonged use. While the S24 may offer some enhancements, such as stronger glass, these benefits pale in comparison to the significant issues experienced with app stability, battery life, and heating problems

I'm so in love with S24 Ultra when it's released. Now my XR is dying soon, but I'm still saving for mortgage LOL. Idk, I feel like buying the S24 Ultra when it gets cheaper in 1-3 years.
I only want the S24 Ultra because it's rectangle framed, unlike the cylindrical S22 and S23, which is similar to my XR.

I really like this video, but videos like this would be more useful if we could know how to transfer the content of one phone to the next phone. This is the strong limiting factor that keeps people from moving from one phone to any other phone. There are plenty of videos on TH-cam that compares phones, but there are few videos about how to actually transfer the content from one phone to the other. For example, how do I get all my information from my Apple Notes to Samsung's Notes? How about moving pictures? Are there any decent substitutions on Samsung for texting since most of us heavily use iMessage? There's more, and the point is to help us know how to not just switch phones but to switch/replace the contents of one phone to another phone. Not knowing how to switch and use different software is why I won't switch phones.

    • @d-rockanomaly9243
      @d-rockanomaly9243 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2
