Hi. Have you put a new bat Tery in the note 20 ultra or is it the original battery? Because a new one could make the battery last longer. Unless the battery is new and still have 6 hours screen time

I preordered the Note 20 Ultra years ago and have used it til this day. Finally upgrading to the S24 Ultra (getting one new for £759 which is decent). Reason for upgrading is just that the battery has deteriorated to only lasting 3 hours now. Also my main camera has a weird issue where it won't focus at all unless things are at a set distance from the phone (aprx. 1ft). I have seen this posted in a lot of forums. Looking forward to having a functional camera again and the 6 years of updates! zloo
Excellent side-by-side video just what I was looking for I don't like the flat screen and I remember I felt the same way for the curve that I've had the curve for so long now with my Note 20 Ultra now I'm really confused and wondering should I just go to the s23 ultra from my Note 20 Ultra I hate the switch phones and I used to love it but I have so many cases I like dressy and Casual phone cases😢🤷🏽♀️
I've still got hold of my Note 20 Ultra but I am using the S24 Ultra as my main phone now. The biggest issue I've had with the Note 20 Ultra was the battery drainage. Because I am in the UK we have the exynos chip which honestly isn't great. Battery drains quite quickly and doesn't last all day so I'm basically having to put the Note 20 Ultra in charge half way through the day and performance was quite bad with the exynos chip.
Two reasons I bought a Note 20 Ultra over the S24 Ultra in 2024: 1.) Cheaper. Much cheaper. For TH-cam, Facebook, web browsing, calling, texting, it's not worse than the S24 Ultra. Battery life is similar but a little bit worse. I don't game on my phone at all so the upgraded internal hardware means nothing. The camera is a bit better on the S24 Ultra, but the Note 20 Ultra camera is fine. The screen is just as good and is also 0.1" larger. It's basically a slightly slower version of the S24 Ultra for 1/3 the price. 2.) MicroSD card support. The 128GB Note 20 Ultra can be upgraded to any available MicroSD size, up to 1.5TB at the moment. If you take a lot of pictures/video with your phone, having a MicroSD that can be pulled out, backed up to your computer and popped back in completely empty is incredible. You can also just pull it out, put an empty or larger MicroSD in it and just be done with it There are a lot more reasons I went with the note with the main being the screen size. I have huge ass hands so it feels like a "normal" phone to me. I don't struggle to hold it at all and the viewing experience for videos is the best I've ever had on a phone. My S6 Edge+ was close to this but the Note 20 Ultra is unbeatable. Until Samsung makes newer phones with a MicroSD slot, I will continue to use my Note 20 Ultra. Hopefully it will last me at least 3-4 more years so that I have time to save for a nice phone. The next flagship Samsung releases with a MicroSD slot will be the next phone I buy but I refuse to buy a phone without a MicroSD slot. I'm not paying 10x the price of the lowest tier phone for 512GB of storage when I can buy a 512GB MicroSD for $40 on Amazon and slap it in a cheaper model.
@cobaltblue5523 I got a s21 ultra. The note 20 ultra is nice but software support was ending. I got the s21ultra from Amazon renewed. It looked and worked like new but dust was on my front facing camera. Now I have a pre owned fold 4 but I miss my ultra cameras
I have the note 10 lite and the note 20 ultra (sorry, can't go from 6.9" to 6.8" yep....I'm picky), 20u is realy an amazing phone and fir now im not upgrading as i get all what i need from my 20u. NTW, love your channel❤.
Nice video! I have the Samsung Note 20 ultra and I was thinking about upgrading to the S24, but idk, Note 20 ultra is still to good for day-to-day usage... I have this smartphone for almost 3 years now and it's still the same, the pen still working exactly the same as when I bought it, the camera still suprises me when I shot photos with a good light, battery is still good;
Yes mine does too. I have been dragging my feet to upgrade to a new phone. I'm glad i saw this. I can hold onto my Note Ultra for a little while longer.
Had a note 20 for 5 years until I traded it two weeks ago for the 24 Ultra. Here what I have noticed with the 24. 1. Screen is almost identical 2. AI on the 24 ultra is largely a gimmick imo( with the exception of translate applications) 3. The 24 ultra does feel a bit easier to hold. I also think it's a sleeker design. 4. The gorilla glass is a huge step up from the 20. I cracked my 20 way more than I should have even with a case. I dropped my 24 twice on hard surfaces( before I had purchased a case) was actually shocked the glass did not crack one bit. 5. Using the 24 ultra is also a much smoother process in terms of speed and switching between apps, It just glides from one process to another and is imo a significant upgrade in this category vs the 20. 6. Have not much a difference in every day photos. I have been a Samsung customer for 20 years and had one of the original Note phones. I actually use the stylus every day to take notes. Imo, the note 20 was the best phone Samsung had ever made until now. The 24 Ultra reminds me of the 20 in the most important ways. The 24 like the 20 is way over engineered but in the best ways. I had kept the note 20 for 5 years because I honestly saw no reason to upgrade. If your 20 is nearing the end of its life( like mine was) then I definitely recommend the 24 ultra as it imo is the sister of the 20, a phone that Samsung threw the everything it had into it and has a created a phone that will last another 4-5 years before any upgrade is needed.
1 thing note is that the vibrant/vivid setting on the s24 ultra isn't actually working at the moment. Future updates should fix that, but for now, that's the reason it looks more vivid on the note 20 ultra
Has this been resolved? Because if the stores are using older, non-updated s24's, then it's definitely showing and it's staying my hand for not upgrading. I can't stand the fact my Note has better display than the s24 Ultra
I was so ready to buy the S24 Ultra. I literally was in the store, so excited, ready to $1,500 ($1,500!) for the 512gb. Found out no Micro SD card. Literally walked out the store bought another refurb Note 20 Ultra. Thats no Micro SD. No headphone jack. No swappable battery (yet the phone has support for 7 years that it will never live long enough to see). I'm supposed to get excited about what exactly? I'm shelling out $1500 for a phone without the basics I need. So, $1500 to have only a slightly better camera, speakers, and software features? Every year its the same upgrades to to same features, and nothing actually new or interesting.
I love your content, however please set your phones to the same wallpaper when you are making a comparison...it makes it easier to really spot the differences
The Note 20 Ultra has MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) too for those times you go into a store that STILL has no NFC credit card readers. I still use it to this day, at least half a dozen times this year.
I miss how Crisp the Colors were. S24Ultra is lacking in Color Vibrance, Crisp lines aswell. Brightness is good but I'll probably upgrade as soon as they bring the Screen quality back. It's good for now though.
I kept my note20U. I still love it. I have S23U, too. The note has better animation. My lockscreen is incredible cant duplicate it on S23U. I dont know why.
3:03 Me Shop Events slightly vibrant on Note 20 Ultra. Love the flat wider display on S24 Ultra. Vivid mode colors will be fixed on s24 ultra soon. 12:20 Whats wrong Note 20 Ultra ? If possible could do a hdr, dolby vision sample test on vlc or samsung video player ? I could give you video sample.
This is a great video. Many thanks. I have an S20 Note Ultra and am considering upgrades as my battery life has deteriorated a lot, but I can still get a decent trade-in price. The thing that puts me off the S24 Ultra is the weight. The S20 was pretty heavy, but the S24 is another 25 grams, which I will definitely feel. OnePlus 12 has caught my eye as an alternative.
I got the exynos of the note 20 ultra and I must say it's hot but its really great, the battery does last and it takes really good pictures and its well on optimised, the animations are smooth, it's just the temperature hotness that's the issue..
Just upgraded from a note 20 ultra. The photos, videos, app speed etc are still fine for the majority of users on the note 20 ultra. The problem is the battery life, especially when paired with other devices. I had to charge it multiple times a day. The galaxy fold 4 and 5 is where I was really blown away by their functionality and beauty. In need an integrated spen and be more as sturdy before I will buy one.
I have not seen any phone that will justify the price to replace my Note 20 Ultra 5G. My pictures look as good as any, the SD Card holds my 4k photos with lots of Gigs to spare.
Also watching on my Note 20 Ultra, was looking to upgrade to an S24 Ultra but if thats all it has to offer then i happy to keep my Note for a little longer 🫡
Thank you for this comparison. This helped me make my decision regarding upgrading from my Note 20 Ultra. I think I'm going to hold out and hopefully they return to SD card slots
I had the note 20 ultra and upgraded to the s24 ultra. I fought till the end but it was getting burned out. I like the s24 but not having an SD card knocks it down a peg.
It can be, I had mine done at batteries plus but a warning I was unaware of, you'll lose the IP rating as they do not have a way to put it back together with it retaining it's waterproof. Iirc I fix it or something like that can do it properly.
Thank you for this video. I love my S Note 20 Ultra, it's not much different from the modern phones, only reason why I would want of the new phones is for the better camera. Note S 20 Ultra is still a big beast, I think they should turn it into a flagship phone like the A's or M series and make more of them. It's a great phone, sound and all. It does feel a bit vintage, but it's great for everyday use.
From my understanding, the s24 Ultra uses similar sensors with the Note 20U but of course minor improvements. Overall the S24 is sharper in images and has better night time pictures. It's rumored that Samsung will use Sony sensors next year. Sony has been well known for their great camera sensor and tech. Overall, I love my Note 20U but it might be getting long in the tooth. I only have one more year of security patches. If it weren't for the battery and great trade in/preorder deal, I would have been happy to keep this phone.
I just upgraded from the Note 20 ultra to the s24 ultra I'm not really seeing that big of a difference honestly I would have stayed with the Note 20 ultra if they would have kept supporting the software or the only reason I'll upgraded is because no more Android versions will be getting on there since the new one supports 7 years I don't see myself upgrading for a really long time
I upgraded from my note 8 to 20 ultra 400 bucks on Amazon. Great upgrade for me. My note 8s battery life gotten a bit bad and the software support is old. I wanted to get s23 ultra but I hated that it didn't have a SD card slot. I don't want to throw away my sd card.

Absolutely LOVE my Note 20 ultra and don't see any reason to upgrade for at least another 2 or 3 years also sd card support is another plus.
I'm still rocking my 20 ultra and waiting for the fold 6 ultra, hopefully with the s pen.
I'm using the s10 in 2024 and it's still really really good 😅 these phones are amazing. I'll probably be getting the note 20 ultra
Honestly Samsung's best phone. The note 20 ultra looks so slick to this day.
Note 20 still a great phone, most people upgrade every year for trends of having the latest device,I'm still keeping mine, maybe upgrading to s25
Two reasons I bought a Note 20 Ultra over the S24 Ultra in 2024:
1.) Cheaper.
You can also just pull it out, put an empty or larger MicroSD in it and just be done with it
There are a lot more reasons I went with the note with the main being the screen size.
The battery life definitly isn't similar
My note 20u battery lasts as long as my note 24u. I heard most people say it doesn't not though.i took decent care of my battery though.
@Chris-p9z I upgraded from my s20 ultra and the battery is definitly better on my s24u
Im considering upgraded my s9+ looking at both of these and a couple in between
What did you get
@cobaltblue5523 I got a s21 ultra. The note 20 ultra is nice but software support was ending. I got the s21ultra from Amazon renewed. It looked and worked like new but dust was on my front facing camera. Now I have a pre owned fold 4 but I miss my ultra cameras
@@curbsidetech damn , I wanted to get a fold but I was worried that it would break easy how is the battery life
@cobaltblue5523 battery is better then expected. I do have chargers all around plus I use android auto. I normally get a whole day of use.
@@curbsidetech awesome how many hours are you getting?
I have the note 10 lite and the note 20 ultra (sorry, can't go from 6.9" to 6.8" yep....I'm picky), 20u is realy an amazing phone and fir now im not upgrading as i get all what i need from my 20u.
NTW, love your channel❤.
Nice video!
I have the Samsung Note 20 ultra and I was thinking about upgrading to the S24, but idk, Note 20 ultra is still to good for day-to-day usage... I have this smartphone for almost 3 years now and it's still the same, the pen still working exactly the same as when I bought it, the camera still suprises me when I shot photos with a good light, battery is still good;
I just upgraded from a note 9 to a note 20 ultra and im happy,.. ill upgrade to 25 or somethin in the future
Great review man helped me understand everything about my new phone thank you!
How did u get your icons to look like that?
😂😂 as I sit here watching this video on my Note 20 Ultra which is working perfectly fine
Great comparison. I think I'll keep my note 20 ultra.
was this before or after the update?
Is the green line a bigger issue on the note 20 ultra compared to the s24 ultra?
Yes mine does too. I have been dragging my feet to upgrade to a new phone. I'm glad i saw this. I can hold onto my Note Ultra for a little while longer.
Had a note 20 for 5 years until I traded it two weeks ago for the 24 Ultra. Here what I have noticed with the 24.
1. Screen is almost identical
2. AI on the 24 ultra is largely a gimmick imo( with the exception of translate applications)
Note 20 was a great phone. Still holds it's on. So much for isheep saying Samsung slow down over time. The note 10 plus even still works great
1 thing note is that the vibrant/vivid setting on the s24 ultra isn't actually working at the moment.
Wow we live in a time were the upgrades have gotten very small over the years. I liked a few pics even more on the good old s20 Ultra.
Yea it's like updates now adays
Note20 ultra has bixby vision. Similar to circle to search.
Would you recommend flashing a android 14 custom rom on the note 20 ultra?
not for me....to buggy.
How do you get these phones
I love your content, however please set your phones to the same wallpaper when you are making a comparison...it makes it easier to really spot the differences
I was thinking about upgrading, and this video REALLY helped me know the important details! Thank you!!
The Note 20 Ultra has MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) too for those times you go into a store that STILL has no NFC credit card readers. I still use it to this day, at least half a dozen times this year.
3:25 I think it's due to the antireflective coating that is causing the colors to pop less on the S24U.
still with my NOTE 20 ultra froma tanzania 🇹🇿 ♥
I miss how Crisp the Colors were. S24Ultra is lacking in Color Vibrance, Crisp lines aswell. Brightness is good but I'll probably upgrade as soon as they bring the Screen quality back. It's good for now though.
What's the chance of getting green line if i get a 2nd hand note 20 ultra?
I have the s10 and haven't gotten it . What causes it
I kept my note20U. I still love it. I have S23U, too. The note has better animation. My lockscreen is incredible cant duplicate it on S23U. I dont know why.
Not a much difference though, I prefer to keep my note 20 ultra 😊. Thanks for your honest review
You won't notice a difference unless you actually use it
When you list features on both please put up a visual list comparison. Thanks for the vid.
Great Presentation my G 🔥🔥🔥
This is what I want to hear! note20 ultra in my hands after rocking note9 for years!
I have not seen any phone that will justify the price to replace my Note 20 Ultra 5G. My pictures look as good as any, the SD Card holds my 4k photos with lots of Gigs to spare.
The multitasking will make a huge difference.
Also watching on my Note 20 Ultra, was looking to upgrade to an S24 Ultra but if thats all it has to offer then i happy to keep my Note for a little longer 🫡
why no make camera not show up like fold has
Thank you for this comparison. This helped me make my decision regarding upgrading from my Note 20 Ultra. I think I'm going to hold out and hopefully they return to SD card slots
Great choice😮 reasonable 😅😅
I just made the switch from the note 20 ultra to the s24 ultra. Lets see how this goes. Mine comes in around the 12th of this month.
how is it now ?
I was about to upgrade my note 20 ultra to the s24 ultra, but considering this I think I'll keep the old one and reevaluate when the s25 comes out.
Note 20 ultra was ahead of its time. Its still matching up with the big dogs.
You have to actually go outside in bright sunlight to appreciate the difference between S24 Ultra and Note 20.
Great review and reviewer, it is excellent that you are comparing speakers. Please compare S24 ultra and S23 ultra if you have
I traded my s23 ultra unfortunately to cut the cost.
I had the note 20 ultra and upgraded to the s24 ultra. I fought till the end but it was getting burned out. I like the s24 but not having an SD card knocks it down a peg.
Please label what legs is being used.
Great vid , my note charging port lost its features so I'm contemplating on switching but after this vid I might just have it fixed ( if it can be)
It can be, I had mine done at batteries plus but a warning I was unaware of, you'll lose the IP rating as they do not have a way to put it back together with it retaining it's waterproof. Iirc I fix it or something like that can do it properly.
Nice work matty😊
Thank you! Cheers!
S24 ultra is actually note24 they just rename 😂
From my understanding, the s24 Ultra uses similar sensors with the Note 20U but of course minor improvements. Overall the S24 is sharper in images and has better night time pictures. It's rumored that Samsung will use Sony sensors next year. Sony has been well known for their great camera sensor and tech. Overall, I love my Note 20U but it might be getting long in the tooth. I only have one more year of security patches. If it weren't for the battery and great trade in/preorder deal, I would have been happy to keep this phone.
I want to upgrade my phone (currently using Samsung Galaxy Note 8) which 1 should I choose : Note 20 Ultra (Exynos) or S23 FE 🤔🤔🤔
I just upgraded from the Note 20 ultra to the s24 ultra I'm not really seeing that big of a difference honestly I would have stayed with the Note 20 ultra if they would have kept supporting the software or the only reason I'll upgraded is because no more Android versions will be getting on there since the new one supports 7 years I don't see myself upgrading for a really long time
This is why I'm considering upgrading. Nervous about the note losing support
Screen fix soon..and developersettings contrast juu fix it little.. animations is 6.1 very next level than even S23 U amazing change smoothness.
The only gripes I have ever had with my Note 20 is the lack of AUX and the camera loses its quality over time bc of the glass covering all the lenses
great comparison love the video note has the better screen 24 has better camera at range
Watching from my Note 8. Preparing to get the Note 20.
