Hi Never done one of those... But if there is an external eeprom, it is probably easier to just swap them over...😉 Thank you for watching and for your comment!
@@engeneer_ru5827 You are correct, the milage is stored in the Ecm and Body module (bcu) and Ipac. Perhaps I can Virginize the used ipac, or just swap over the chip. What i can do as shown in this video is take a dump of both ipacs and use the comapre function in the program, and it will highlight in Green was it? the difference. Hi Luis, excellent,as usual; i have here (Maia,Porto) a 2004 Renault Laguna 1.9 DCI with 8 codes Df 301 226 056 325 197 ... ( with Delphi DS150E?? at a friend's shop) Runs and drives perfect, no (?) smoke, starts well, lots of power, *but* a RED light is always on: ((STOP; Desligue a Ignição)); Rail press. sensor reads 1.222 V at idle, MAP 1.666 V at idle, both respond well; But the MAF reads (green wire at one end) 2.66 V at idle and the same 2.6 or 2.7 V at (Key on,engine OFF); and NO change when i REV it up; did i find the problem, bad MAF? 5.0 V is ok on all sensors,on the MAF too. I only have a multimeter,a good one...What Volts should the MAF read? Does it work off the 5 V source from the ECU,like the other sensors? Thanks
Hi Depends... not sure in that case.. Some MAF don't work on voltage... work on frequency... so the voltage is always the same... You need a scope for that... Now, I am saying that is the case, you need to check how the MAF operates in that particular car... I have a video on that sort of MAF, on a Opel Astra if I am not mistaken.... Hope that helps!
@@LMAutoRepairs Ok,great; i was just reading into that, the frequency, this is new to me; i have a great meter that has Hz (Fluke,5 digit, used to repair JAGS for the drug boys in NY,many years ago...never had machines, just good meters and factory schematics--expensive!!) if not i'll borrow a scope; I'll look for your video on the Astra(?); Thanks.
2004 Laguna 1.9DCI normally has a Bosch brand MAF, signal wire should be exactly 1,0 Volt (key ON/engine OFF/No moving air). Signal voltage should change together with RPM. Be careful, those MAF's also have air temperature sensor with a signal that does not change with RPM. I know about the frequency MAF's but never seen one on a 2004 Laguna. I also have a carprog if that to any use.. i see some people just switch the immo chip to other ecu but i dont know if thats gonna work. my ecu is EDC16u34 skoda octavia. or is it possible to clone the whole ecu maybe... right now i think i need some software to try to read out data so i can come to those 4 pin digits thats needed in order to program further, i have a Vag software called Odis and it comes to a point where it ask for pins
You can get k-tag and clone the ecu...
There is a few options on that...
Swap the eeprom is probably the easiest one, if you are willing to open the ecu... should have a 95320 eeprom...
I believe that ecu all immo data is in the eeprom, so no need to worry with the flash...
Thank you for watching!
@@LMAutoRepairs yes i found that chip now when i opened the old ecu. Is there any way before i swap it to make sure i back up data. What if its needed that flash thing done and not only eeprom swaped?.. what interface/software can i buy to backup eeprom data and also that whats needed for the "flash" process?
Is it possible to read the eeprom if one of the legs broke off?
Depends... but probably not...
That said, you can try to scrape some of the encapsulation material around the broken pin, and solder a thin wire...
👍👍👍
Will the eeprom get damaged if we turn it wrong and read it?
Never had that...
Usually they survive...😋
Thank you for watching!
you did a great job by making the adapter . I changed the crocodile clamp from carprog but now that I've seen how you made yours for x-prog I am going to try and do the same .
Yes... it is way easier!

could you tell what the difference between xprog 5.55 and the newer 6.12 is?

But most likely supports more chips...

Hi what software can I use on my pc to read EEPROM of the car via obd2 port?
You can't really read eeproms via OBD...

Hello. I want to find out if it's possible to remove immo from a ddcr ecu for 2003 megane 1.5dci
Possibly... I never researched that one...
Ok. Thank you very much. I hope you find out and share your findings with us
Quite intresting, I would like to replace the instrument cluster (Ipac) on my 2005 discovery 3. A Landrover forum member gave me hees used Ipac. hees car is 2008 and with higher milage than mine.
I need to read the milage, security & Vin from my Ipac and write it to the newer one. Could I use X-Prog for this? if so, who the heck can identify all of this? It looks like manbo jambo to me.
Mr.P
Hi
Never done one of those...
But if there is an external eeprom, it is probably easier to just swap them over...😉
Thank you for watching and for your comment!
@@engeneer_ru5827 You are correct, the milage is stored in the Ecm and Body module (bcu) and Ipac. Perhaps I can Virginize the used ipac, or just swap over the chip.
I did read that someone over at hhauto forum did manage to do this, and it was working fine, but I dont remember the details. just woundering what reader I should buy.
What i can do as shown in this video is take a dump of both ipacs and use the comapre function in the program, and it will highlight in Green was it? the difference. It would be Troublesome if the milage from the used cluster gets writtn to my lower millage car.. Ill have to open the used cluster again to see what chips are inside.
Cheers for this great video.

have you had to repair carprog mines has a few faults
My has a few extra capacitors inside... but I bought it already like that...

@@LMAutoRepairs More important is the inclusion of a counter. Each programming session decreases the counter by one. Soon the problem will come ... Louis, have not yet encountered?

The counter will not change when you program this way... same like when you flash an ecu on the bench... the counter does not decrease...

Hi Luis,excellent,as usual; i have here (Maia,Porto) a 2004 Renault Laguna 1.9 DCI with 8 codes Df 301 226 056 325 197 ... ( with Delphi DS150E?? at a friend's shop)
Runs and drives perfect, no (?) smoke,starts well,lots of power, *but* a RED light is always on: ((STOP; Desligue a Ignição));
Rail press. sensor reads 1.222 V at idle, MAP 1.666 V at idle,both respond well;
But the MAF reads (green wire at one end) 2.66 V at idle and the same 2.6 or 2.7 V at (Key on,engine OFF); and NO change when i REV it up; did i find the problem, bad MAF? 5.0 V is ok on all sensors,on the MAF too.
I only have a multimeter,a good one...What Volts should the MAF read? Does it work off the 5 V source from the ECU,like the other sensors? Thanks
Hi
Depends... not sure in that case..
@@LMAutoRepairs Ok,great; i was just reading into that,the frequency,this is new to me; i have a great meter that has Hz (Fluke,5 digit,used to repair JAGS for the drug boys in NY,many years ago...never had machines,just good meters and factory schematics--expensive!!) if not i'll borrow a scope;
I'll look for your video on the Astra(?); Thanks.

Damaged hoses on intercooler is also a usual suspect on these models.
