  • Yes, you have to re-time the hook when going up to a size 18 needle from the standard size 14 needle. No need to worry though, we show you exactly how to do it. The converse is also true, that if you are going down more than 3 sizes from the standard 14, that you will have to re-time the hook. You can use the method shown here to go in either direction.

    Can you do a video on adjusting the needle shaft? My Juki’s meddle is a little left of center on the hole on the throat plate. But does not look like it’s bent or damaged in anyway.

    The needle looks to far away from the hook you should not have that much play when you push the needle it should barely flex. The gap should be about the thickness of a piece of copy paper from what I have learned but I love you videos I learn a lot from them I appreciate y’all
