- Usually, our videos are pretty simple and linear, but this was more of a learning exercise. Our poor technician had to teach us, rookies, how to adjust to get the perfect stitch. Top, bobbin, and spring tensions are all touched on, very lightly, to balance out the tension for this lightweight cloth. It seems that if you watch this video carefully, you should be able to really learn how to adjust your Juki DDL-8700 for whatever material you're working with.
There is no way a person buying a machine from you would never need to adjust the tension. There are several factors that require tension to be adjusted. Fabric type, number of layers, thread, needle size. So no matter what you ship a machine adjusted for, they will need to know how to adjust the tension.
Is the type of thread play a big role?
Man, I was watching it to learn more about the machine but this is more fun then podcast, especially when they forgot the word scrape 😂 and how the tech is explaining w/ low vocabularies( I’m the same here in foreign country)
Yes, majority of the time you will have to adjust your machine based on the project you’re doing.
Hi, could you please help me, I'm just new to this industrial sewing machine world. So i bought my new Juki DDL -8700 and now I'm trying to figure out what else I need next for this machine, like which needles are made for the DDL-8700, the Sewing Foot and so on. And now I'm on my way to find out which oil I should buy for the Juki DDL-8700? Must i buy the juki new defrix oil no. 1 or can i use any other different oil from any other Label? I hope you read my comment and could help me a little bit on this
We have the same machine at our dress shop. We sew dresses and use size 80/12 DB X 1 Organ needles with Tex 30 Polyester. There are many guides and charts out their on google just depends on what material you are sewing.

Это не работает если не умеешь регулировать высоту и ход зубьев движителя ткани. Примерно 4 положения для разных тканей. И еще необходимо проверить на старых машинах соответствие тайминга иглы и хода зубьев, так как могли перерегулировать ранее под другие задачи. Регулируется эксцентриком сзади машины, описание есть в инструкции, но и опыт должен быть! Удачи!
