2022 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk: Start Up, Test Drive, Walkaround, POV and Review

- 👋 In todays review we are checking out the 2022 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk! This is a smaller size and boxy SUV that is built for some trails and offroading! It's not a hard core off-roader from Jeep like the Wrangler, but offers good ground clearance and several drive modes to handle off the pavement driving! The Jeep Renegade has a unique design to it and with the Trailhawk package, it provides this with all the red accents both on the exterior and interior! The interior of this Jeep Renegade Trailhawk has cloth seats with a neat design on the inserts and all the red accents in the front seat area! It would be cool to see more red accents for the backseat passengers though! For the size of this Jeep Renegade, it actually offers a good amount of interior storage which is really great to see and it can even tow! The 2022 Jeep Renegade is a pretty practical smaller size SUV that you can daily drive and even with the small turbo charged engine, it's pretty peppy and since it's light weight it can get up to speed just fine! This is a smooth driving vehicle and has plenty of features to make this a great daily without spending too much on technology you wouldn't want! As of right now, the Renegade is my dream car. I will be mostly using it as a daily commuter (work, errands, sporting events), so any trim would be okay. 4WD/AWD would definitely be appreciated because I live in a region that is notorious for extremely volatile weather patterns.

A little over 4 years ago I had this one in the previous generation which was the standard trim same color, as a rental on a trip to Richmond. As I was going through Durham, it was a bad storm I was driving into and I was quite surprised at how it handled during a torrential downpour. And it had some giddy up which you talked about yourself.

I really like how the touches of red throughout this Renegade go with gray. However, I agree that in some of the interior(for example: the air vents above the touchscreen console) there could be more hints of that sweet Trailhawk red. But overall, another great review as always!

I have a 2019 TH. I have it with a tech package though with LED lights in front and back (I don’t think they seem to offer this package on newer THs anymore for whatever reason I’ve noticed). I’ve beat the ever living shit out of this thing and it stays alive for more. Way more impressive off-road than people give it credit for.

@@BrosFOURRSpeed oh, well they featured a Renegade in the start of the movie with Batfleck mobbing it around. So they had a special BVS trim and you are correct. They didn’t make that many, but it was still fun.

I would go with a Latitude, since I wouldn't take it off road, no need for a TH.
I do like these, they're common here in SoCal, to my surprise, I seem to find them more out in the desert area's.

It isn't a bad one, a lot of locals in my area commute in one of these. Would make a great daily. 😎
It might actually be the same chassis, but I'm not 100% on that. It would be a great daily that's pretty capable for the size!

If I were to buy one of these I'd definitely go for the Trailhawk or the Limited. I think the Limited may have a few more tech/safety features?
My only gripe is that none of the trims come with wireless charging or a 360° camera...

I have an Iphone 6S Plus and I would be fine keeping it too. But the battery is shot and I wont get the 16 update coming out soon. I was thinking to get a 10S Max and that will handle both problems.

Great vid but show the full startup sequence with chime and don’t talk or cut the chime short.
Why do you want to see the chime?
@BrosFOURRSpeed It's understandable that they'd want to hear what the start up and chime spund like. Me personally I'm more picky with what the chime sounds like, every time I turn on the car or don't put my seat belt on in time or something I don't want to the sound to be super annoying and ruin my mood. I'd want it to notify me and then I'll be like "okay okay I'm getting it on" and move on with my day.😅 😅😅

I’m annoyed that so many manufacturers have a trim level of certain models where they add red to the exterior and interior. I’m not a fan of red. I’m guessing someone in marketing thinks it’s “sporty” or something. They should give you a choice of those accented colors.
I would agree with that! Would be cool to see other colors available from Jeep!
It's such a shame that trailhawks don't come in a manual transmission.
I drive a manual Latitude trim and I got my average mpg up to 31.
I didn’t even know a manual was an option on the renegade.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Yeah, just in the 1.4L. They also stopped making them in 2018, you can't order a new manual in any trim level now.

Front wheel drive (FWD) and all wheel drive (AWD) are not the same.
I also said full time 4wd system, I didn’t say fwd at all.
