Thanks for the video. It is good that this worked out for you and kinda lucky as your brackets are actually installed wrong but because you have a 68 rear end and used later 12 bolt axles 1971-82 (which are wider) that is the reason you had to put the brackets on the way you did. If you would have tried to install the 5 lug drum stuff it would have never worked with the axles you used. .For those who asked what these rotors in your kit are from they are 1995 AWD astro van front rotors. Your calipers are standard GM metric calipers used on almost everything mid sized from 1977-1985 (also S10) There are vendors who sale just the brackets and you source your own rotors and calipers. Thrifty shoppers can piece this kit together for about $250.00
Thanks for the info. I figured I would have an issue after I had already noticed they were longer. I'm glad it worked out myself and Im also pleased with how much wider it looks with those axles. I had already got the kit and just decided to try it out lol.
Also thrifty could mean used parts or so but this kit interested me cause it was all new
About to do this myself, thanks for the info buddy
No problem
Nice video brother
Thanks I appreciate it. Uploading videos is not as easy as it seems. Especially with 3 kids and a full time job. It's hard to find the time but I'm trying
Did they say what car the disks and pistons are from thanks
You happen to have the link for that kit ?
Part number? Supplier? Did it work?
Did you do any research at all before trying to install
Yes of course
What year truck did you pull the axels out of?
78 c10
What’s the part number for the rotor
You install the plate on the back of the housing not the front side
Did you have to change the proportioning valve
Yes and brake booster for disc/disc
Do need to replace the master cylinder?
Yes. Need one for a disc/disc. I also replaced the brake booster for this application
@@stitchsgarage5835 what master cylinder did you buy? Also booster? Thanks
Just so you know your calipers upside down, the bleeder screw should always be up
Lol I know this was an old video I already fixed it.
what calipers are you using
They are s10 calipers without the parking cable
