My daughter told me last week she wants a 60-66 Chevy. She is 15 and will have one for her 16th birthday in Jan. I'm going to have her watch your videos for inspiration.
Kudos to you Gibson63! Awesome nice work on these old gals. My Dad had a 59, and so i had a fast memory twang when i saw yours with that same v shaped speedo. Very nice job, liked!
Steve, NO blood on the floor... that's a successful knuckle buster job!!! Your shop is set up perfect, easy access to everything!!! Keep them coming cause were sure enjoying!!! "w.w."
Fifty two year old bolts was rusty just like mine were. Enjoying your videos. Mississippi # You inspired me with your Red truck two years ago and I've accomplished much more than I've would have ever tried by my self. Two years in too a frame off restoration. About 3/4 way through, 👍
Thank you for the tips and video I just purchased a 66 c10 long bed big back glass one owner truck with a 327. Was needing some tips on how to lower it and I found it!
Best how to on youtube! Thank you Mr Gibson. Think you might find the older we get proves that a lift is a good investment ☺️. Was for this old man anyway
Hey Steve my name is Steve I just want to say I really do like your TH-cam videos they are very informative and really sharp detail. Maybe it's me I'm hoping I'm not the only one out here but I was wondering if you could fire up a session or two where you talk about adjusting and making a shim adjustments on fenders and doors would it be possible to do a door on a truck and a front fender making sure everyone understands how to tweak a door to get it to shut smoothie and for all the seams to line up it's just a thought. Steve D.
Nice work! After watching your videos I've been tackling more and on my 66 Resto, would you happen to have a video of you doing the Front Disc Conversion, I purchased from Early Classic.
I have a 62 Chevy short bed... stock height I just ordered the 2’ drop with the u bolts kit for the rear hopefully it levels out .....just wanna know what you think about it... I already replaced almost everything else on the rear of the truck...
I'm doing mine on my 65 now, lower coil spring bolt snapped on first turn, been soaking it in penetrating fluid for a day longer, any suggestions will help, doing it tonight. Later I will remove lower shock mounts, drill new hole in them, flip them over so shocks mount behind axle, and drill holes on frame to mount the upper on outside of frame with long bolt for a much better ride.
I broke the top bolt on mine also, between the heat from the torch and the penetrating fluid and take the bolt in and out a few times that’s what I suggest , you can also cut the bolt off from the bottom after it’s a little loose with a hacksaw then use your new hardware
How'd I miss this one Brother? I haven't been getting any new videos you retire for awhile Brother? This is what I need to do on my 63 C10 also. I just received my new classic parts magazine I'm hopeful they have the kit? Is that where you bought your drop kit from? I miss getting your videos my friend. Hope all is well with you and your Pop and family? Hope to see more videos soon Brother. Keep On Trucking Brother 👍...

Gibson63 great, hope you doing well. I’m about to start my 63 short bed and will use a lot of the tips and tricks you showed. I appreciate a lot what you do 👍🏻
Love your videos man, you do a great job with them. Did I miss an episode, why is the driveshaft now white? It was the original dusty rusty black on the last video I watched.
How did the 4-in drop in the rear workout for you with just changing the springs and the pan bar going to do the same thing to my truck if it worked out for you thanks for any help.
great job for sure! did you know you can flip the bottom shock mounts and ad a universal top stud. this will relocate the shocks to the outside of the frame. better stability and stiffens them up a little. just have to redrill one hole on the bottom mount. just my two cents.. larry
Man, I don’t know how many times I’ve watched your videos through my 64 build...wouldnt be nearly as far as I am without your help, so thank you. I do have a question about the Panhard bar. I have a 71 rear end on a 64 frame. I believe the 63 and 64 have the same frame bracket for the Panhard bar but when I go to order one it gives options of 63-64 or 65-72. I just don’t want to end up ordering the wrong one. Any info or help is much appreciated, thanks again for your time making these videos! 🤘
Josh Benton the 65-72 should be the one you will need with the 71 rear end, I ordered mine through (Early Classic) told them what I had, still need to Measure from where both ends bolt up to make sure you’re getting the right one but still may have to do a little tweaking like I did
Hey man I’m finally getting down to the putting back together stage on my 67 c10. Have any recommendations on rear axle brake lines and E-brake cables?
Any issues with it bottoming out with the 4-inch drop in the back? The classic performance springs I'm looking at suggest that the frame should be c-notched. I would rather not cut into the frame, but I would still like to throw a light load back there every now and then, so I'm not sure if I can do that without c-notching it and it be driveable. Thank you.
No issues at all on this 4’’drop, now if you went with the 6’’ drop on the rear you may have some issue but not for sure haven’t dropped one that low before
Roadking911: Gibson's C10 is a 63 so it's been on longer than your 67... And he lives in Tennessee that may make a big difference on parts not being so full of rust... Keep On Trucking Brother 👍...
Your videos have helped me make my restoration so much quicker I watch your videos and just do what you did You have an impact wrench I’ve seen you use it Why are you struggling with the rear shocks and springs?
My man… Will there be a reverse rake with 4” drop in the back or will the truck still be “level?” My truck remains a family work truck that hauls a trailer/boat, so I need it to still function. Thx u!
Enjoyed the video. I would be new to c10 and working on cars but would really love to do so. Did you take of the bed for this or was it already been of for some Restaurations? Thanks! Best regards from Germany!

I like your style. Clear concise and well filmed. Thank you. This will help me a lot on my 64!
KYB Shocks are pretty good well known. That's what I put on my 1972 GMC Suburban lowering springs with KYB SHOCKS
Have them on my 72’ 👍🏻

Good work brother! Just bought a 65 I plan on lowering so this helped out a good bit!!

try taking the bolts lose b4 you jack it up to relieve tension works much better for me
And also grease the bolts ahead of time let them soak.

Nice video Steve. Some of the best on YT! Keep up the good work...

Another good video Gibson. Like you work.
wait... so trucks used coil springs... than leaf springs and now we see the re implementation of coils?
I see an impact wrench in your future!
How low can I drop my C10 in the rear, without having to C- notch the frame?
Classic parts sales the 6/4 drop ,that will be 6’’ in the rear you shouldn’t need the c-notch from what I was told. I went with the 3/5 drop
I’m hearing past 4” on the rear it should be C notched
It will get you down with a smooth look, but not so low that you can't drive it safely. More like a car. Nice job.
Why you’re not posting new videos? I miss see your quality work in the truck 👍🏻😁

Why are you struggling with the rear shocks and springs?
Is that just my eyes or is that frame look a little bent up on the left hand side or down on the right at the 14 minute and 35 seconds in the video
