Well it didn't show the grinding of the spindle, in all Chevy trucks when drop the rim hits the spindle and lower control arm, I wanted to know what you guys did for fix this problem..
We didn't have to grind our spindles for clearance. That ONLY happens when using a non-disc brake 15" wheel or ANY 14" wheels. Additionally, BROTHERS Spindles are specifically made for us with extra clearance for lower a-arms and to accommodate unusual backspacing.
When it's all done, will it be a 3/5 drop?...or a 5/7 drop? That truck is just how I want my 83 Chev C10 to look. This will be my first time doing this. I want that ride comfort and handling! Excited and can't wait to do this!!
What type of brake caliper did you use am having trouble with mys i bought a 1.25 drop spindle and had to change my bearings and rotors but having trouble finding the right caliper
Did you buy the drop spindle from us? It's hard to say what caliper to use if we don;t know what spindle or what rotors your setup has. We don;t sell a 1.25" drop spindle, so we have to assume it came from somewhere else? Sorry, but we can't help without some more info.

This truck has a 454 with factory A/C so we used a 2" drop coil and added a couple of helper blocks to give it a little extra lift and stiffness. If you have a 350, then you could easily run 2" springs with no helpers or 3" springs.
Jason, what year is your truck? There are a few things we need to know before we can give you an exact part number. Please call our shop and one of our tech guys will hook you up. 800-977-2767

dan bentham I took out the stock upper control arms and add the cpp tubular ones and it’s fine now.. it was a heavily used farm truck so I’m guessing something was just worn out or bent
They will if they are left under pressure. You need to support the bottom A Arm so it can't suddenly drop when you release the spindle nuts. Check out our other video about changing coil springs th-cam.com/video/IMYWFWqUZ9c/w-d-xo.html

That does happen.

About to lower my 83 spindles and springs up front are there Torque specs?? Or just tighten until it’s tight
Just from memory we don't recall the torque spec, but there definitely is a spec. Google it for your truck so you get it right.
i did the same thing , however my original calipers did not fit my 4/6 drop kit. any suggestions
Can you install drop spindles on a gmc 2500? I'd like to know before I get the kit.
Yes, but you would need to convert all your components to 1/2t stuff. Ball Joints, Tie Rods, etc all need to be "downgraded".
I have 15” rims x7” will they fit with this drop? Or am I gonna hit the lower control arm?
You'll be fine!
What’s the limit on the 15 inch rims before the control arm hits the wheel?
Do you know if the spindles and springs will work on a 1978 Shorty Chevy G-10?
No idea Rick. Give the guys at Performance Online a call and see if they have the answer, or maybe even the right parts for the G-10.

Yes
Are front shock relocation needed if you drop the front? I know for the rear you need them if you go past 4".
Same as with the rear, it's going to depend on how low you go. We recommend them on anything lower than a 3" drop.
Where do you but the suspension and the shock absorbers

Will drop springs for a 64c10 work with a 83 c10?
Yessir!
You guys don't give sponsorships do you? Just bought a 85 Sierra that were redoing on our channel and we really need this suspension!
No, sorry, we don't sponsor builds.
@@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV I didn't think so
I have a 79 gmc camper special I think it is a 3/4 ton do they make drop spindles for 3/4 tons any on know?
Not yet, but you can pretty easily convert your 3/4 to a 1/2 and use 1/2 drop spindles. Simple as swapping the ball joints
What size drop spindles was this
2.25" drop
Nice video but would have liked to see the finished truck on the ground with the drop.
