I play Werewolf a lot, and actually, the bodyguard protecting a seer strategy is very common in the game itself, because it guarantees the seer survives at least long enough to significantly narrow down suspects.
What hurts me is that among us has become so popular that the actual game of warewolves has been forgotten. This is the same concept except for the fact that the warewolves don't have special abilities. Not only that there's also not protectors or a seer (as example) I played this a lot in the past and it was actually super fun. (More fun than among us for several reasons)
@Kids e-Tube It's more fun because there's a lot more nuance. You have to learn the basic skills that you learn in among us but you also have to strategically use your role to not only protect yourself but also to protect others. Let's say the werewolf Jackal as an example. The jackal is a werewolf that gets to select anyone at all and if the jackal gets selected for death on the voting session then if the person they selected is still alive they can't be voted out as an example. There's also things within werewolves such as ability cards which give you special perks. Let's use the jackal again. As the jackal you aren't allowed to go into the werewolves den and select a person to kill until your discovered. Well there's one card that allows you to go in from the very beginning. I can't remember what it's name is but it's gauntlet something. Small little nuances such as that make it a much more enjoyable game than Among us ever was (especially since I've been playing both for years with Among Us having came out in september of 2018)
There's also an old party game called Mafia that Among Us basically copied. It has towns people, doctor , sheriff & The Mafia (killers). It's pretty sad that people think Among Us is soo creative when really it isn't.

As a teen this was my **superb** strategy for playing the werewolf game: The best thing was to stay pretty neutral (a.k.a. agreeing with the majority) and not be the first one to accuse others. If you yourself was accused of being the werewolf the absolute best thing was to immediately accuse another player. This would shift focus from you to the other person. If you were the only one accused and the time was running out people would vote to kill you in lack of a better option. The worst thing you could do was to defend yourself since everything you said could be used against you. I saw several players here making this mistake....
I’d say(from the villagers pov) to devise a logical plan to call out the werewolves and place reasonable suspicion onto them and then claim that the werewolves were going to kill u the following night because u knew too much. This psychology would likely leave u safe that night due to the suspicion being drawn onto them if they killed u. You’d just have to make sure u got a good idea of who the werewolves are tho.
Smart strategies! Emotionally, if you're innocent, the typical instinct is to defend yourself instead of accusing someone else, but it's a big mistake for the reason you wrote.
@@error3821 that works until you acxuse someone innocent and so the werewolves kill you and since you accused someone that wasn't one they get voted out and well 2 villagers lost
Crazy Fox is an apt title. Ayaka acts purely with emotion in a game where her life's on the line. She doesn't even care that her goals are literally impossible.
Here's a little anecdote that spells out my own survival chances in this kind of game. I was playing werewolf with some friends and we drew cards to decide roles. I drew the card that meant wolf, and I was so surprised that I started laughing. So yeah, I don't think I'd have a chance.
Just start changing the laugh into a cry of horror/sob and have a show of breaking down. The other players will think you have a fragile mind and couldn't hide your emotions well if you can pull off the act. Therefore, someone who reacted with such "strong emotions" and appears to be weak couldn't be the werewolf
29:28 If anyone remembers the "villagers cant harm another player" rule then this plan would backfire hard. If you kill a werewolf in self-defense then that's harming another player. You would have no way of explaining why you're still alive if you are a villager
There is a chance they forgot. Besides, I would try to convince the other players that since it was self defense, it likely didn’t count if anyone did remember
@@ntsocializing You realize it's easy to forget such stuff when under intense pressure and anxiety. Just because they forgot doesn't mean that they're stupid. There was no reason to be so rude. People like you are so annoying omfg.

Ngl, I stink at Among Us. Worse at being impostor, but even as crewmate, I get too caught up in tasks to see what the heck's going on. At least in a fatal Werewolf game, you don't have tasks to do, but can focus exclusively on psychological manipulation.
Even in the manga it's apparent that the reason why the author titled this as crazy fox, the fox is totally being crazy in whatever logic of her decisions, and not in a good kind of crazy. And even with that series of bad decisions she's still alive is kinda annoying. I remembered rooting for Tachibana instead on the manga.
@@marebbpc idk seems like she's more annoyed with Meari in the manga. But yeah, she's not dumb, so probably she also rather dies than live after all of that shit.
The collars have the dumbest kill mechanism ever. At least in the first part they blew up which more or less ensured death if they were activated, but here, there are a number of ways to beat the collars. 1. The motor has to be electric, because no other motor type could reasonably fit inside of that small of a casing, so submerging it in water from one of the sinks could probably just fry it right there. 2. As the video mentions, placing some solid object under the wire stops it from being effective because a motor that small can't generate much force. 3. Using just two solid bars one could leverage the two bars against eachother and generate enough force to rip the wire out of its socket fairly easily. 4. The property border likely works the same way as a dog's "electric fence", wherein the collar is activated upon passing a threshold that is created by series of pylons which activate the collar when it passes between them. Simply locating the pylons and removing them removes the barrier. 5. Any of the wolves could have used their knives to try and saw through the wire or disassemble the motor. 6. The small motor casing probably could have been smashed through brute force. And I'm sure there are more ways. Point is, I'm pretty disappointed the players didn't even attempt to try and break out of the collars, because they probably could have.
The killings should be automatic. Otherwise there's nothing stopping the victims from screaming who the werewolves are, or fight back and win, or leave evidence against the werewolves. That shit is even a plot point in both movies.
I was a bit confused by the rules, didn't the first dude die because he fought back? But then it didn't work the same with the girl who was stabbed but first cut the werewolf's cheek.
the walls are sound proof so screaming their name won't do any good and they automatically die if they fight back but i guess they could try and leave evidence
@@morgianasartre6709 Even if they die, they can still potentially kill the wolves. All deaths should be game related, so leaving the area and getting choked shouldn't even be an option either. Both the votes and werewolf kills should be automatic.
@@renatoramos8834 This is actually a plot point in the Manga of Beastside except its on reverse, one of the wolves gets found out and is being executed by the collars but before he gets killed he manages to cut the throat of the twin card holder, so yeah, the game has very shitty protection against rule breaks.
The problem with this movie and the other werewolf game one is that both of the sole winners won because another person couldn't stand the idea of continuing to play werewolf games and killed everyone else to let the main character survive instead of actually having the main character win on their own merit.
The manga had darker ways of executing the player's wherein the films, they made the collars look easy to manipulate. But seriously, Beast Side had the darkest executions I've seen.

I do think I prefer the role of couple in the original game over the fox. Works similar, but you have to win together and still have your own unique roles. Guess adding cupid to a real life version may have been complicated though 😅 still, I love how close it is to the original game, it has always been a favourite of me and my friends 😊

Another strategy as a fox -- It said 'villagers must stay in their rooms when the werewolves hunt' but it didn't say anything about foxes. when four wolves appear, say one of them is a villager and we have to kill them. do whatever possible to make them think you're a wolf, and then kill them yourself. tell them they were probably the fox, and we already have the kill for tonight. the in the morning, they will all die for not killing someone. if it counts to kill another werewolf, tell them the next night you'll kill someone and go into their room and convince them you're a villager pretending to be a werewolf. then use their blood and put it all over their body and walk out and show the werewolves their bloody body. once the false kill is over, the wolves will go back to their rooms, and then would die for not killing anyone. then, the villagers would win, but then die because the fox would be alive. It's cold-blooded, but everyone will die anyways. Of course, If i'm wrong and the fox can't leave, then this plan is worthless. 2024 edit: wow I forgot I made this lmao. Uhhh this has some holes but who cares
Upon realising that it's already past voting time, the Foxess should've let everyone else get distracted and tried sliding something inbetween the collar and her neck to buy herself at least some time. Even if that only let her live a second or two longer, all the others would be taken by surprise and die by then. The moment she's the sole survivor, her fox win condition would be fulfilled.
The main character is a true yandere, as their characteristics do not have them care for their own life and only idolize the one love. The moment she had her heart broken and rejected, she outgrew from her yandere status and lived for herself. She really did make a whole Among Us session a whole character arc XD
When you were talking about Tachibana being able to play the cut off as curcumstantial evidence that supports her claim, it makes a lot of sense but when you remember that the first victim of the werewolves was killed by the game because he hurt another player it makes no sense. Edit: After rewatching the video, I realize now that I assumed there was a rule the students were explicitly exposed to that stated no violence was allowed. If this was not the case, I see how it would be impossible for the villagers to know they couldn't physically defend themselves.
I didn't see the source material, does the group actually discuss what happened? As far as I could tell only the werewolves would have known when collar went of in response to fighting. The other people could have assumed that the collar would go off after a werewolf visited them to confirm the death. The other 'kill' they might have been able to check was also from a collar going off. I don't think the villagers had solid proof that fighting back would have been penalized.
But they didn’t know Shiki broke the rules on the first night and she could’ve said the girl pushed the knife into herself while she was pushing her away. Also knowing the luck of these students, they probably forgot that part of the rules
I love how this man prints out every ethical and moral dilemma that normal viewers would never realize for themselves. Really makes you think deeper into the movies we watch

I always loved playing the wildcard in games like this, the jesture, the witch, the fox, the spy. Its so much more interesting to play everyone against each other. But I've always hated active rolls like jailer, or investigator/seer, so much more weight is put on you to carry the game, and you become suspicious as hell almost right away and paint a target on your back if your not careful.
seer is actually pretty fuked up role... it place you in such a risk and you depend on the others more than anyone. You either lose your protection and die being known, talk, bring attention to yourself in your try to be useful and die or left the group you are part from without seer letting them confused and more likely to make mistakes... It is such an hard role to play to be honest and requires a lot more thinking than a lot others. I liked it because of how challenging it is, how you feel like mastermind thinking every opportunity and putting a play but damn it was it hard... It never worked twice. that is why now I also love being the wildcard... It is not typical and common and it is fun to play having power without being in the risk a seer would be put in. You just play at your own side doing whatever you want and adapting even sometimes leading the situation without that much of a fear. It is the most fun cards for sure.
Fun fact, the werewolf game is actually a very popular social board game in China. It's based on The Werewolves of Millers Hollow. The strategies for this game are already well studied and explored, and normally there will be 2-3 seers pretending to be the real one during the first round of the game.
As said mafia is basically the same thing but I want to say that secret Hitler is the best of these kinds of games I've tried. There's a lot more real strategy instead of guess work and "sussying"
This round with the Fox role reminds of the Jester mod in Among Us. The only difference is that the Jester is trying to paint a target on his or her back because he or she wins by being voted out. Aside from that, the gimmick is the same- both the Fox and the Jester are by design roles that prevent the holder from partaking in a collective victory.
ngl, i thought kodai’s situation for panicking at first and looking for ways to escape was normal, i don’t understand why they thought he was suspicious + as uncooperativeness is due to panic which is normal in a situation this crazy. a big majority of people would react the same way as him, it’s more sus so many people were calm.
I didn't watch the movie, but I don't understand the logic of "he's panicking and wants to leave because he's the werewolf." In this game, the only players that can actively kill another are the werewolves, so in probability theory, they're the least likely to be killed. To be killed, they have to be voted off, which is insane in probability if there's no evidence and if they're accused, it relies on whether the accuser (even if they're the seer) can get people to trust them. By this logic, the werewolves are the least likely to be killed, so if you were the werewolf, you're most likely the one who panics least. Besides being voted off, the only other way they can lose is if they fail to kill the fox before killing all the other players, and again, the probability of that is insane. 9 other players, you're assuming you don't kill the fox AND they don't get voted out before the 8 other players, I'm not even going to try to work that out, but you're looking in millionths of a chance here. By no logic should a werewolf panic in theory. The ones most likely to panic would be the villagers, because their fate is left in others' hands, however, if they're a little smart, they're also pretty unlikely to die, therefore, again, should not panic. All they have to do is get the "special" players to confess, and they'll be safe, because the werewolves will target those players first and by probability, voting is unlikely to land on you, as long as you don't look suspicious. The "special" roles are the only ones who should panic, because if anyone finds out their role, they're probably the next to die, yet they have to tell someone, because they need to be protected (by the bodyguard and by votes) to play their role to win, but they can't let villagers died and lose a vote, all while being afraid that the person they tell is a werewolf who might kill them. Not to mention, to a certain degree, they have to confess anyway, because they need to reveal information, such as which live or dead player they checked. There's a lot of contradiction with their roles, so if anyone should panic, it should be the seer in medium since they need to reveal their ability, thus role. That's why it was stupid for people to confess they're a seer, regardless of whether they're actually it. The bodyguard can't protect themselves and can't be protected, so technically they're the most vulnerable, more so than the villagers, so they have a right to panic as well, but they're still not the one who is most likely to die. The fox in theory should panic the most, because by probability, they are the most likely to die. For either team to win, the fox has to die, therefore both teams will want to get rid of them, yet they have absolutely no power to stop that. Assuming no one confesses to a role, your odds of being voted out are, as I said above, very low, however, if the seer discovers you, which only starts out at 1/10 chance (since voting takes place first), you're dead, if the werewolf kills you, which only starts out at 1/9 or 1/8 chance (since the voting takes place first), you're dead, and this chance gradually increases every single round before the game ends, so the probability of these combined make their odds of survival the lowest among all the roles.
You’d think that not talking too much would be a good idea, yeah? If you’re the werewolf, you should help villagers set up traps to slow you down to minimize suspicions early on.
Okay, so we aren’t allowed to show out cards. But, that doesn’t mean our cards can’t be used. If I were there, I would privately ask everyone what their roles are and to describe their card. If I am a villager, I will immediately know someone is lying if they don’t describe their card like mine. If I am the werewolf, I’ll now know what the villager card looks like. Plus, the secret roles would also be revealed since they also don’t know what the villager card looks like.
Makes sense... if only the werewolves don't play it right. I mean, if I'm the werewolf, this would be the "easy" play. Mostly because it's also what's done in Town of Salem, where you ask the person the description of villager, like what's the 5th word in the description etc. AND SO, what people do is they pull up the wiki to see what's the description of villager, or whatever role they were imitating. Anyway, this is not a good play because you'd be the clear target. No matter how you play it out, you'd die. Here's why- If you immediately ask when the game starts, you have to remember, you can't vote on the first day. So you ask for info, and then night comes. Good wolves would immediately kill you for bringing up that idea. On the alternative that you ask the 2nd day, and then you get to vote... chances are, the wolves would've probably stolen the card of the innocent that they've killed, and so it won't work on them anymore. Best case scenario that they didn't... you get to kill 1 wolf, and then you get killed by the 2nd on the 2nd night.
@@HowToBeatYT Hmmm fair enough.... They played in the first one.... Would've worked in the first movie then..... When most people can only base their knowledge on among us games, meanwhile people who have actually played werewolf or mafia irl know the lying faces :)
Or poker, possibly. Anything where one of the main strategies is how to tell other people are lying and lying as imperceptibly as you can. There are actually a lot of myths about lying, however. Like that if someone is lying to you, they'll avoid eye contact when usually the opposite is true. They will typically make excessive eye contact.
I love how his kind of players are selfish and ruthless and those are always the first people he says to abandon because he can't trust them...oh the sweet irony of it all
Makes sense because they would do things inhumane to win, and make cold decisions quickly which would likely only benefit themself and get someone killed, which is why you want to take them out early
It actually comes from a card game called Werewolf Game, where there's also the seer, werewolves, etc, but also a bunch of other roles and it's really fun to play!
I love how you teach us how to survive in case if we are in similar situations, plus it allows us kids to watch new horror movies if were intrested without seeing blood or gore
In horror movies, I always hope for a smart protagonist, but when it’s a game of among us irl, the mc HAS to be smart. Plot armor is the dumbest way to win. I hope there is another werewolf game vid in the future bc I really enjoy these
In true Town of Salem fashion the person who's caught lying about their claim and acting suspicious is completely ignored by the town costing them the game.
There's also "Medium's Curse". Easy counter to the nerd who claimed to be the real seer when he said chances of medium being alive on the third day is pretty high. It's rare to see medium make it past day 3 (at least in all-any chaos mode before the coven update). I used to play a lot and no matter how medium or anyone else played, medium ended up dying before anyone else. It sounds unlikely when someone says it out loud, but I witnessed it first-hand throughout a few hundred games.

@@minecraftlover9000 Might that be considered cheating? The whole point of Werewolf or Mafia is that the villagers can't protect themselves from attack, but can only stop the threat by deducing who it is.
I played Werewolf in my grade 5 French class, where we all sat in a circle of chairs each with our own cards wherein the teacher called out the Special Villager Professions and werewolves to carry out their tasks. Werewolf is much older than among us with its origins dating back to 1986, i much prefer Werewolf over among us even though both are quite entertaining games.
@@elj955 Originally the game was called Mafia, and was designed by a Russian psychology student in the 80's, using a deck of playing cards (red cards for innocents, black cards for mafia). Over time the game spread, was altered, spread more, got altered more, got re-themed in the 90's to be about werewolves since they're more culturally relevant, and eventually picked up by multiple game designers making their own small tweaks and variants on the idea (sometimes small twists like Ultimate Werewolf, other times some very big changes). Werewolves of Miller's Hollow came out in 2001, although it looks like there's some pretty significant differences from the original Mafia game, and I'm not sure how much of that was the game naturally being altered as it spread without any "official" version, and how much of that was created and codified by these designers. (Some differences with the original Mafia game: the villagers can execute as many people as they want during the day, but each individual person needs a majority vote from the group instead of just one vote from everyone, most votes dies; mafia vote for their victim in secret and the victim only dies if all mafia players vote for the same victim; players get to know how many mafia are alive after each "night" phase and who they tried to kill even if they voted for different people)
Multiple variations at this point, Among us is another variation that is straight forward. I also remember this game (werewolf, town of salem, mafia) was popular with forums as they did something similar with this as a day/night cycle each day.
"Werewolves of Thiercelieux" is actually the original french game, the one that inspired (or that got copycated by) Among Us where each player receives a card telling him his role, mainly between werewolves and villagers. The game starts during the "night", where every players closes their eyes while the werewolves vote to kill someone. Then, everyone opens their eyes during "day time" and discusses/accuses who might be a werewolf.
There's loads of variants of it. Werewolf. Town of Salem. Among Us.. So many of them. Its a classic of design that a lot of places have borrowed from and modified in their own way
The version I played was called Mafia. It was the same game as Werewolf, but the villagers' enemies were mafia thugs instead of werewolves. It was harder on the villagers than on the Among Us crewmates, though, because all we could do was put our heads down every "night" and try to figure out who the mafia were based on zero info during the "day". Among Us improves on the concept by giving the crew tasks to do and behaviors for the impostor(s) to imitate.
i thought about the roblox game 'flicker' because it had the same 'kill in the night' premise as werewolf also the 'seer' and 'bodyguard' roles reminded me of that as well since there are similar ones in that game other than a difference in names (psychic, medic) also the twin role exists, but if one twin dies in flicker, the other one follows. same with saves and stuff
1:54 The Fox prevents the werewolfs of sacrificing themselfes, without this, they just could agree to not kill anyone, they die both at first night, make villagers win. But now, the Fox would shure win in this case. 5:06 The medium compensates the fact of sead players cards not revealed like in the non-hardcore harmless cardgame. So one can use bot fox and medium to create the harmless but hardcore game with dead players not showing their card. 6:08 I was thinking the bodyguard mustn't protect the same person each night. 31:09 Why on earth the 3rd werewolf confeses her role, everybody thinks the 3rd and 1st wolf are already dead.
“If you were forced to play a real-life game of among us where everyone is trying to kill you, what will you do”. Isn’t that the point of every death game
Not really. Normally Wolves are trying to kill all the Villagers, and Villagers are trying to hang all the Wolves. The Fox alone is hunted by everyone.
Mafia is also known as warewolf... like.. The two are literally interchangeable. Ultimate Warewolf on the other hand is not the same therefore it's a different game with similar rules and more cards added
Out of all the werewolf movies, I love the Lovers one the most. I hope you'll cover that one soon. I feel like The Lovers had a much deeper story, it actually made me cry. And then there's also mad land, which I think is very interesting. I'm happy that you're covering the werewolf movies, cause not many people know about them and they're quite hard to find
Here's a foolproof way to win this game as a civilian: 1. Tell everyone that when your door is opened at night, you have to immediately scream with all your lungs to tell who are the werewolves. 2. Put flour or every single knife and mark them with everyone's fingerprint, then everyone gives each of their knives to other players' rooms, going in a clock-wise/counter clock-wise direction. Any knife that has been tempered with in any way (has blood, missing flour, fingerprints don't match, misplaced by 1mm) will be considered to be a werewolf. Werewolves aren't going to kill you night 1 because you're the smartest and most careful in the team and they know that you'll be one who will be the most prepared and shout everyone's name the loudest of all. Bonus tip 3: If a werewolf goes into your room and are about to kill you, jump out of the window and pretend to cross the line and that you get strangled to death. Then when there's only 2-5 minutes left until the game ends, run back to your room, take a chair to defend yourself and scream as hard as you can that you're still alive. Werewolves can't kill you anymore cause you're defending yourself and they don't have enough time to go through your barricade, making them kill someone else.
Everybody is wrong! The real way to win these games is to end up with a previous winner in your game! I think every one of these movies and protagonists up to this point in the series, has ended up winning because somebody won a previous game and had survivor's guilt or didn't want to go through this again, aka giving up or voting in such a way as to cause themselves to die!
@@mhkk1491 This game, one wolf had survivor's guilt because of the people she'd killed, and knew she'd have to play again if she won. Thus at the final vote she did something that was designed to specifically help our girl the fox. In the first one, Beast Side, in the final vote, the shy girl voted to kill the bodyguard, because Yuka said that this was her third game, and she didn't want to play another game. So she made that vote knowing it would kill her. I haven't seen the other movies people are talking about, but am eagerly awaiting the "How to Beat" videos for them to see if the trend continues. But as of this movie, it's 2 for 2 with the "protagonist's" role being found out, but being given the win either because of survivor's guilt or the desire to not want to play another game.
If I was the Fox's friend and caught the merest hint that she had a crush, I'd manipulate the hell out of it. Not only was her crush a weakness to exploit, but it made the Fox a yandere rogue and the biggest threat to everyone. If anything, I'd pretend to be sympathetic to her feelings, and if I was on the crush's team, I'd urge her to protect her crush by any means necessary.
I agree it’s an annoying example, but thinking about other social deduction games might help. If you’ve got a point of reference that you can clearly remember, it’ll give you some idea of how to handle a similar situation. In this case you’re better off thinking about mafia/werewolf, or any social deduction game with special roles.
No joke, I just cannot get killed when I get the Joker role in Mafia. Every time I start pointing fingers to try and be as suspicious as possible without making it too obvious that I'm trying to get killed, yet everyone goes along with it for some reason and I end up killing half the town with a lynch mob until the Serial Killer saves the town from me.
@@KelltheTitan That's me as the jester in Town of Salem, except I somehow manage to accuse the enemies of the town, while the same bodyguard dies for me twice. The BG was displeased to say at the very least to learn he died twice for a jester. I became the town's mvp.
People always say that being the main character means you’ll probably survive, but did they think that maybe they are the main character BECAUSE they survived? Obviously there are other reasons why one could be the main character, like the fact that the protagonist is the fox here, but it has its applications
werewolf is literally way older than among us (released in 2001) and among us is build on the same concept, not the other way around! It kind of shocked me that you apparently didn't know about that :o
I just love how every Werewolf always trying to have the big Kill Count ever when it's too late. instead of just outright trying to save as many villagers. I feel like its a commentary on Social classes then anything else
The moment when the guy ask who's the seer and 4 people raise there hand they've already won since 4 out of those people could've been the werewolf so just vote the 4 people just to be safe, like it makes no sense for a villager to pretend to be seer
There is a strat in very precise plays when you can pretend to be one to vote someone out but it's risky. It's more often if you have an ulterior motive (couple win, need to be voted out first night...)
to be fair, they talked about having the bodyguard protect the seer, so someone might try to pretend to be the seer to get the bodyguard to protect them - very shortsighted but reasonable on face value.
@@HowToBeatYT hey cinema summary I know that this death game looks alot like among us but really I think it's more like town of Salem because in among us you only have crewmates and imposters but in TosS you have towns(villagers),mafia(werewolf, and neutrals(self explanatory) all with different roles(like medium and sheriff for towns) (That and being quiet/afk instantly leads to death because everyone in the game just wants to hang each other)

Small little nuances such as that make it a much more enjoyable game than Among us ever was (especially since I've been playing both for years with Among Us having came out in september of 2018)
@Kids e-Tube I might here after a while. Have some stuff I need to do both around the house and online but after that I'm definitely interested

Emotionally, if you're innocent, the typical instinct is to defend yourself instead of accusing someone else, but it's a big mistake for the reason you wrote.
you will prolly get voted after the one u accused gets voted off

Just start changing the laugh into a cry of horror/sob and have a show of breaking down.
What do you expect? It's a killing game. The first thing people are gonna do is either panic or throw accusations.

Mediocre roles are medic or see-er(???) Aka Medium just because baddies try to claim those to out the real ones 🤣
Whaaaat, you just gotta learn to scum read
But active roles like those are hard to lie as. Also having an active role means a lot of people trust you
Jester is such a good role 😩
seer is actually pretty fuked up role... it place you in such a risk and you depend on the others more than anyone.
The strategies for this game are already well studied and explored, and normally there will be 2-3 seers pretending to be the real one during the first round of the game.
there is similar game ''mafia'' game in russia, was invented by mathematician or psychologist if I remember right
We play "Werewolf" in Germany too. It is a popular Cardgame for youth-groups

But because they had nothing else to go off it made him to clearest target.
I didn't watch the movie, but I don't understand the logic of "he's panicking and wants to leave because he's the werewolf."
In this game, the only players that can actively kill another are the werewolves, so in probability theory, they're the least likely to be killed.
I thought he was the bodyguard as soon as skater dude died
You’d think that not talking too much would be a good idea, yeah? If you’re the werewolf, you should help villagers set up traps to slow you down to minimize suspicions early on.
LoL
Okay, so we aren’t allowed to show out cards. But, that doesn’t mean our cards can’t be used. If I were there, I would privately ask everyone what their roles are and to describe their card.
If I am a villager, I will immediately know someone is lying if they don’t describe their card like mine. If I am the werewolf, I’ll now know what the villager card looks like. Plus, the secret roles would also be revealed since they also don’t know what the villager card looks like.
not a bad idea, it does not say anything about describing the card
b i g b r a i n
Makes sense... if only the werewolves don't play it right.
I mean, if I'm the werewolf, this would be the "easy" play. Mostly because it's also what's done in Town of Salem, where you ask the person the description of villager, like what's the 5th word in the description etc.
AND SO, what people do is they pull up the wiki to see what's the description of villager, or whatever role they were imitating.
Anyway, this is not a good play because you'd be the clear target.
No matter how you play it out, you'd die.
Here's why-
If you immediately ask when the game starts, you have to remember, you can't vote on the first day.
Good idea, but keep in mind all the werewolves played in a previous round as villagers.
@@HowToBeatYT Hmmm fair enough.... They played in the first one.... Would've worked in the first movie then..... Tho I didn't watch the movie I thought the television showed how each card looks like while explaining the rules... Ig it was just edited in *your videos only?*

Probabaly was. That way he knows they're all lying.
Wait, wouldn’t the bodyguard protecting the victim mean the werewolves all die? Since they didn’t kill anyone.
I played Werewolf in my grade 5 French class, where we all sat in a circle of chairs each with our own cards wherein the teacher called out the Special Villager Professions and werewolves to carry out their tasks. Werewolf is much older than among us with its origins dating back to 1986, i much prefer Werewolf over among us even though both are quite entertaining games.
also justs sounds cooler
Among us was inspired by werewolf and other similar games
I remember that game from Minneapolis Kids
This game reminds me more of Town of Salem than Among Us. Very similar roles and a lot more strategy behind it
I’m pretty sure it’s actually based on a game called Werewolves of Miller’s Hollow
Its a classic of design that a lot of places have borrowed from and modified in their own way
@@Canadian_Zactheres also roblox games so, we probably have around 150? 30?
True enough. The Fox was stupid from the start. Now she's either a Fox or a Werewolf, which means she's a target.
I love how Among Us is the first thing that comes to CS's mind when the Werewolf game is one of the inspirations for Among Us
I was thinking thensame thing we use to play werewolf when i was younger way before amoung us was even thought of
The version I played was called Mafia.
@@RanMouri82 I was playing a similar werewolf inspired game called Town of salem before among us so,,,
Yepp.
i thought about the roblox game 'flicker' because it had the same 'kill in the night' premise as werewolf
also the 'seer' and 'bodyguard' roles reminded me of that as well since there are similar ones in that game other than a difference in names (psychic, medic)
also the twin role exists, but if one twin dies in flicker, the other one follows. same with saves and stuff
I find the fact that ayaka, has the gaze of a dead fish the entire game absolutely hilarious.
16:15 this was hilarious. The way cinema just gave a moment of praise. This werewolf is a true legend
I really feel bad for that werewolf. Did everything smartly and at the end, died cause of a co incidence

Where do you watch them all? Netflix? Sorry question may be dumb

Wait theres more?!
Here's a foolproof way to win this game as a civilian:
Bonus tip 3:
If a werewolf goes into your room and are about to kill you, jump out of the window and pretend to cross the line and that you get strangled to death.
