Your content makes me so happy in a weird way. Like I know it’s horror and the concept of the film is terrifying but going through it with you is like I’m with a close friend. It’s just so comforting!
Same here! I like these videos because it's like being walked through the movie from a distance with a knowledgeable friend holding your hand the entire way through, explaining in simple terms what would work, what wouldn't, and why. It's deeply calming on a level I can't even describe.
You know, at least they make a reason as to why the werewolves would be able to kill someone else. Being exposed to a previous game (especially depending on how brutal their game was) would desensitize you to death and cement the idea "it's kill or be killed". Some others don't do that, so that's kinda cool
I've always been a bit frustrated about how people treat introversion and shyness as the same thing. I'm the type to stand away from the tv and not socialize much, but I'm not gonna stay silent when my life is not the line. It's not a change in behavior, it's a change in situations. I'll follow happily until there is no one to follow or the current leaders are untrustworthy, and here, everyone is untrustworthy. Although, this is a movie, so characters are either shy or confident... so I guess this form of deduction works.
I'm introverted but I end up taking leadership roles a lot, "introverted leaders" are definitely a thing, introverts even make better leaders a lot of the time because they don't care about social games or power dynamics, they're just trying to get the task done. And I always sit in the front of the classroom.
Something that I have noticed is that 2 people that have survived in the previous round were werewolves in the following round. The older sister said that her partner survived in a previous game with her. Plus, the younger sister and the coward survived in the first round and were both werewolves the following round. Don’t you notice a pattern here? (Of course, it’s mostly something that could help the people watching this video find the werewolves, not the actual players on the game.)
I guess after experiencing enough trauma in a previous game, the survivors are probably more desensitised and more willing to win through violence, so it makes sense to make them the killers in the next round 🤷🏼♀️
Coming from someone who read the manga, all the survivors are forced to play two rounds. The sister and her partner were members of a game they were forced in (most likely villagers). After the two rounds, you can leave (shown in Werewolf Game two). But you don't always become a werewolf, you can remain a villager in both rounds (shown in Werewolf Game: crazy fox)
This is your most usefull Vid yet, while all other games only help us in the of chance of beeing ambushed or kidnapped, playing the non-lethal card game is a thing we learn very much from your Vid here. Doing the math allways how the Chances/statistics are is the most important trick I definitly keep in mind from your Vid. The 17:39 strat can work if the nerd asks the 2 girls to, in case their werewolves, to only kill him aa the very last one. In exchange, he promises not to vote for them unless if tiebreak is needed. So he basicaly would be protected as long there other Villagers. And the girl can be shure he isn't seer or guard, as these won't spoil their special ability by promising not to vote for the 2 girls. 17:58 unless U sacrifice the other wolf. 28:08 So only werewolfes are actualy allowed to leave or what?
Since the wolves have to stay up later than the villagers to kill, the wolves would be more tired cos of less sleep. You might be able to figure out who a wolf could be based on if they appear tired or if they're sleeping during the day. Just a thought
If you're a villager and have to worry about being killed during the night I doubt you'd sleep much. Everyone would likely be extremely tired and sleep deprived.
What if someone is too scared to sleep? Would you be able to get a good night's rest when you know that someone might come into your room and kill you?
As an insomniac I would definitely end up staying up later into the night (if I slept at all, there's a decent chance that I wouldn't sleep at all at night and would sleep during the day when I have free time instead since that would be safer and only sleep at night when I happen to drift off) partially due to said insomnia and partially because I'd be on edge the entire time making it more likely that I'd be unable to sleep. Plus as someone else put it if the werewolf _DID_ choose to kill me I would probably end up trying to identify them in my last moments because if I'm about to die anyway I might as well do it while trying to save the others by identifying my murderer (plus that could also make it so that they leave me alone because at that point they might think it's too risky and that they might be able to convince the others that I was lying/seeing things because clearly they didn't kill me although that probably wouldn't be the best idea it is a possibility).
Awesome video! Also.. if anybody is interested, those cards are from the werewolf game (Jin-Rou DX, art by Baron Ueda). A fun game AND its death free! (Unless you're planning on setting up a death game of your own in which case, shame on you!)
@@Wolf_109 hmm.. as far as I know, there are only the Japanese versions. I know someone who’s willing to help translate if there’s anything you’re unsure of! but other than that and google translate, a lot of the roles are pretty straightforward and work just as explained in the cinema summary videos on the game just as they do in typical versions of the game itself :)
Okay.... so i just wanted to point out that making a fire with glasses is near impossible as you point out in min 7:40 The reason is because glasses from myopic people are the most common with a concave shape, which means it dissipates the sun light, not focus it like a magnifying glass. It COULD be possible if someone had a convex shaped glasses, but im not sure what kind of eye problem you need for that and its less likely to have. PS: My english is not that good, sorry if i wrote things wrong
You're right about that. I have glasses myself and noticed it too. The most common glasses in young people (with the concave shape) are used to correct near-sightedness. However, there are still conves glasses used to correct far-sightedness, but they are pretty uncommon for young people and mostly used by older folks to read. Considering the age of the kid with glasses, his glasses probably can't be used to start a fire
@@softie_vinyl Did you watched Dr. Stone ? I mean sure....it IS possbile, but the lenses most people have low % of near sightedness, so the lenses are pretty thin and flat, so they couldn't hold that much water to make it covex shaped, also, i would have taken way too much time to do so, and you'll probably end up so tired of holding the lenses withot moving.
I did think it would be a clever strategy to, as a werewolf, reveal yourself near the end and outing an villager as a werewolf. In this scenario where you can be actually killed, you could potentially trick people into voting for the villager first as they will be defensive and you could seem honourable and not vote etc. In the round after you would still have 2 werewolves who could then outvote unexpectedly and win.
The key to winning this one is definitely violence. A true werewolf would have nothing to fear from their victims, but ambush tactics could easily ensure that any werewolves get marked. Everyone should sleep during the day, rather than at night, so they can be fully awake between midnight and 6. Everyone should be armed, with the knowledge given to every player that to attack is to get branded as a werewolf. Assuming people are willing to attack their murderers, which is a reasonable if spotty assumption, the werewolves only last 2 days. With the gun, the werewolves almost certainly win the fight, but a stab wound is a stab wound and they aren't going to be able to hide that from everyone. The werewolves have much more interesting options, however, because of how the rules are enforced- instant death. If I were one, I would want to kill everyone during the day by manipulating the rules to my advantage, and it boils down to my card. Simply showing it to someone means instant death, and all I need to do to ensure my ability to keep the strategy going is to make sure *everyone* in the area sees the card at the same time. It's a ranged, AoE, instant death weapon that is easily concealed and leaves no trace on the assailant.
In the manga, the collars activate when the villagers try to defend themselves and they get choked to allow the werewolves to kill. Not sure the movies follow the same rules, but yeah, they did show what would happen in that situation.
I love it when CinemaSummary makes Werewolf game videos I hope to see more in the future as there’s more movies to cover like the 2020 werewolf game’s operator
I love when at the start of the movie, a character does something that's weird but then when we finish the move and the main character does the same thing it makes sense
A good strategy would be to sneakily ask everyone's name at the start, for example, by asking everyone to introduce themselves. So that if you are unfortunate enough to be chosen as the werewolves' victim one night, you can yell their names (or gender) before they cover your mouth to help increase the chances of the villagers winning, so you don't die in vain, or something.
I think the gender one might be the better option because if you yell their name before everybody else knows their name, they could just lie and say they're called something else
Another good strategy would be to get a sharp/heavy object from somewhere in the building and then wait by your door with it all night. That way if a werewolf opened your door to come in and kill you, you could quickly attack them. So even though you won't survive, the werewolf will have some very obvious injuries that reveal their identity.
“These people in the back are more likely to be introverts” “The people in front are natural born leaders” Me: *questioning my life as an introverted leader*
Ngl seeing the seer VS false seer situation being so accurate is funny to me, because the last time I played werewolf I was the seer, I revealed it and said one of the players was the werewolf, but then he claimed "how can you be seer if I'm the seer"? It was a fun scenario

As someone who has played competitive Mafia. The mistakes here astound me. You NEVER lynch or even consider it early. Your strength is the ability to vote out the Mafia. Even 1 team kill can throw the game. 2. Always counterclaim your cop. Townies cannot expect to win without there cop, so it’s good form to always claim to be cop to protect the real one, as they will claim cop at some point to establish enough trust to use their power. NO private conversations are ESSENTIAL to this game. It’s the equivalent of table talk. The leader must simply disclose the meeting, if they die, it’s obvious a Mafia was in the meeting. This also isolates a group of people for the cop to investigate. You won’t catch both Mafia in one voting round. It’s good form for the Mafia to sacrifice one of their own to remove suspicion especially as you approach LYLO (the voting round where the town MUST act to avoid being outnumbered by the Mafia and thus losing
I'm so glad you're covering these movies because they are a chore to watch. It's much nicer to watch you suffer through these horrible movies. Great review.
Assuming I was a villager, I’d have pulled each player to the side, one by one, and told them to describe the top half of their card, while I’d describe the bottom half. That way you can be sure of your allies and anyone who’d refuse could automatically be marked down as suspicious. Especially when I tell them we can save more lives if they cooperate.
As a werewolf you could use this strategy by pressuring one person to describe their card in private to prove their innocence, kill them that night then use this strategy get half of everyone to believe that I'm innocent, can't do everyone because I would be voting for people I "cleared"
Its impossible to not watch cinema summary, you are watching the movie while he is explaining the scene, he is also explaining how to beat it if we were ever in this type of situation.
You can't start a fire if the player with glasses is nearsighted. Nearsighted lenses disperse the light instead of focusing it. This technique only works with regular glass or farsighted glasses.
As a werewolf, i would discuss my plan with the other wolf, collect water and hide it, then trick a villager into contaminating the water source with the poison, assuming i can only kill one person per day or I'll die, having someone else technically do it doesnt violate this rule, this would kill of every survivor in less than a day I didn't watch the actual movie so this might not work but it's worth a thought
This game is unbeatable. It's super unfair that you have to play again if you already won. Like wtf is that? You should be rewarded for winning. The only way to win is to somehow extract the neck device or avoid getting sedated and ambush the organizers of the game.
It not a Cinematic Universe. It a franchise series. A Cinematic is different people with different stories living in the same universe. A franchise series follows the same character or characters in story and each story has the same theme.

7:00 throwing a dead body to get help is a very dumb idea since people would just run away and get too scared because they saw a dead body they should write a note on the dead body atleast
I don't know if this is mentioned anywhere in the comments: When Marie accuses Tomohiro being the werewolf you said, the werewolf still would have to off somebody in the night ... not when they vote for him to be taken out and Marie basically sacrifices herself for her sister and doesn't off anybody.
If you are a villager, it could be smart to have these small committee conversations with different people, pretending implicitly that you trust them. If the werewolf believes you trust him (that is why these conversations have to take place separately) specifically, it would be smart for them to keep you alive until the end (much like the werewolf did to that girl villager, except the girl villager did this inadvertently). Also, always vote a little bit late if possible, or at least follow the trend, since it is extremely dangerous to vote for someone who ends up living through the vote, especially if he is a werewolf. Finally, if you are a werewolf with five people left (including yourself) - which is the situation when the older sister tells the truth - the sister's attitude could actually be a strategy if played well. She should have blamed an innocent (the pretty boy for example) and manipulated the others into voting for him first. For this, she could promise that she would not kill during the night and accept her fate. That way, the villagers would be killing both werewolves and winning the game without further casualties. However, once everyone eliminates the supposed werewolf (who is actually a villager) there are only 4 people left, including 2 werewolves. During the night, she and her accomplice could have killed another villager and won the game during the day, as there would be two werewolves against only one villager. Taking this into account, this strategy could have worked since the previous round, where she pretended to be the seer, because this plan would have covered the consequences of announcing a fake role. With this, if both werewolves had the intent to win, they could have won the game from day 2, with a little luck and manipulating.
When typing cinema summary, I was recommended the next word to type... I was prompted to type "Werewolf" and I thought it would be ironic if you made a new werewolf video.
If I were a werewolf in the second round I would make fun of the game a encourage as many people as possible to just leave the building while I grab some water of something. Maybe come back to find much less people to kill in order to survive.

Being exposed to a previous game (especially depending on how brutal their game was) would desensitize you to death and cement the idea "it's kill or be killed". Some others don't do that, so that's kinda cool

Cinema Summary should collab with Nerd Explains since he’s a pretty smart nerd unlike this one.

The one problem with your strategy is if you correctly call out one of the werewolves the other werewolf will come straight for you.

For sure
I've always been a bit frustrated about how people treat introversion and shyness as the same thing. I'm the type to stand away from the tv and not socialize much, but I'm not gonna stay silent when my life is not the line. It's not a change in behavior, it's a change in situations. I'll follow happily until there is no one to follow or the current leaders are untrustworthy, and here, everyone is untrustworthy.
Although, this is a movie, so characters are either shy or confident... so I guess this form of deduction works.
yeah, social anxiety and shyness does not equal being an introvert haha
If Cinema Summary ever pulls up to the death game you know you're about to be a meat shield.
The counter to The Wolves; The Night Owl.
What if someone is too scared to sleep? Would you be able to get a good night's rest when you know that someone might come into your room and kill you?
Nothing prevents someone from staying up and shouting who the werewolves are
As an insomniac I would definitely end up staying up later into the night (if I slept at all, there's a decent chance that I wouldn't sleep at all at night and would sleep during the day when I have free time instead since that would be safer and only sleep at night when I happen to drift off) partially due to said insomnia and partially because I'd be on edge the entire time making it more likely that I'd be unable to sleep.
7:33 when he said "one of the players wears eye glasses" I fr thought he was gonna say "that means he knows how to start a fire."
Awesome video!
Also.. if anybody is interested, those cards are from the werewolf game (Jin-Rou DX, art by Baron Ueda). A fun game AND its death free! (Unless you're planning on setting up a death game of your own in which case, shame on you!)
Do you know if there are translations of the cards? I've been looking but I've only been able to find Japanese
Okay.... so i just wanted to point out that making a fire with glasses is near impossible as you point out in min 7:40
The reason is because glasses from myopic people are the most common with a concave shape, which means it dissipates the sun light, not focus it like a magnifying glass.
@@veravanriet2761 Yeah thats why i was pointing out, but yeah i passed on the age factor in this, im also near sighted.
Thanks for the info !
unless you add water on the lense and hold it dead still it won't start a fire
@@softie_vinyl Did you watched Dr. Stone ?
I mean sure....it IS possbile, but the lenses most people have low % of near sightedness, so the lenses are pretty thin and flat, so they couldn't hold that much water to make it covex shaped, also, i would have taken way too much time to do so, and you'll probably end up so tired of holding the lenses withot moving.
or it could be tintled glass bc light cant pass tintled ones
I did think it would be a clever strategy to, as a werewolf, reveal yourself near the end and outing an villager as a werewolf. In this scenario where you can be actually killed, you could potentially trick people into voting for the villager first as they will be defensive and you could seem honourable and not vote etc. In the round after you would still have 2 werewolves who could then outvote unexpectedly and win.
Yus. The among us tactic
True, they should've slept at day and stay awake at night.
Oh my an essay
Brilliant
th-cam.com/video/3lUp2C0pS_Y/w-d-xo.html
So that if you are unfortunate enough to be chosen as the werewolves' victim one night, you can yell their names (or gender) before they cover your mouth to help increase the chances of the villagers winning, so you don't die in vain, or something.
thats actually rlly smart
I think in the other werewolf movies, I think it's made up of a group of classmates if my memory is correct. Funny that they never used this strategy.
I think the gender one might be the better option because if you yell their name before everybody else knows their name, they could just lie and say they're called something else
@@raine8067 smart smart smart thinking, didn't even cross my mind.
“These people in the back are more likely to be introverts”
“The people in front are natural born leaders”
Me: *questioning my life as an introverted leader*

Also maybe they're just nearsighted/farsighted and are just trying to see, damn?

Yes!!! Another werewolf game. I need to be prepared just in case 🤗
I love this channel and it brings me a lot of joy to see the smart side of conquering horror movies thanks 🙏

You have no idea how long I waited for this.
As a werewolf, i would discuss my plan with the other wolf, collect water and hide it, then trick a villager into contaminating the water source with the poison, assuming i can only kill one person per day or I'll die, having someone else technically do it doesnt violate this rule, this would kill of every survivor in less than a day

OH YEAH!!! It's time to learn how to survive a death game. YEAH!!!
