I have one question: WTF is up in Japan for them to keep inventing stories where a psychotic government treats teenagers like cannon fodder? Battle Royale is over 20 years old and japanese artists are STILL releasing variations of the concept.
probably a metaphor for the way that the government in South-East Asia treats students and then employees. being seen as successful is more important than being a decent human being/just being happy, so this kind of death game is just that concept taken to the extreme. they basically DO treat teenagers like cannon fodder, with their grades coming before their health and wellbeing, they just don't physically imprison or hurt them if they aren't able to "succeed."
@@allyh7075 ahh. To be fair, if your country is basket of infidels, being a "decent human being" or "happiness" does not matter to any one if there is no afterlife.
@Drip Batman • 80B Views • 0.01 Seconds Ago I’m talking about the Turkish city, since it’s a real place, and the movie was set somewhere in Japan, which is also a real place(obviously). So they could have technically set it in the city called Batman
The best friend getting angry literally makes no sense... Their representative told the boys representative where the card he needed was but he chose the other one. How is it her fault?
Slight modification as they would chemstrike you for giving them away: lay them out in 2 rows. 1 row is for cards anyone can take, only in exchange for one in the other row. That way you ARE playing the game, you’re just abolishing any pretense of wanting to “beat” anyone.
under those rules, there's no way to lose unless you have the joker at the begining. just exchange cards on the open. for example, ask a player if he has a 6 and what number he wants. if you have that number. you exchange the cards face up. even the owner of the joker can, safely, exchange cards with other players.
The owner of the Joker in that scenario will keep their single cards, until eventually there will be remaining players who will be forced to play with them (because they're stuck with the matching pairs), or get disqualified (brutally beaten to death).
@@HowToBeatYT forcing the exchanges to be done on the open meant zero risk of being given the joker. the scenario you mention poses a serious problem. it will be known who has the joker so nobody will want to be the one to exchange with him/her. this means that nobody will exchange with the joker first. here is the thing: you exchange with the joker, if you pick the joker, everybody else will be saved and you will be the only loser. nobody wants that. there's a way out of this lose-lose scenario for the joker. that the joker exchanges on the open with other players. but that reduces the number of players in danger of being unnable to pair their cards.
It seems everyone doesn't grasp that the participants are supposed to be playing old maid. As per the rules, you have to either play the cards face down or at least away from the other players. "Each player removes all pairs from his hand face down. If a player has three-of-a-kind, they remove only two of those three cards. The dealer then offers their hand, spread out face down, to the player on the left, who draws one card from it. This player discards any pair that may have been formed by the drawn card. The player then offers their own hand to the player on their left. Play proceeds in this way until all cards have been paired except one - the odd queen, which cannot be paired - and the player who has that card is the Old Maid! " Ps this version removes a queen instead of having a joker but the rules remain.
@@DestroyerJamie here is the thing. they are "supposed to be" and you, yourself, said "or at least away from the other players" do it away from other players. you only need to care about the player that has the card you need. and you can freely ask who has it.
If I had the joker in this game, I'd try my best to covertly "drop" it underneath a classmate, be it the chair or desk they are sitting at. Then tell them they dropped a card, letting them pick it up
This man can single handily make my day better by telling about people have much worse day than me in such a funny and cool way!! Thanks you for theese vids and keep up the good work!!
You know after the beating to Death Part, I'd figure out a Way to just straight-up go full Murderhobo on the Guards and Adults(after checking where the cameras are and if I had survived long enough). After all, they haven't shown any Real Guns, besides the Syringe Guns so Heavy/Thick Clothing to stop the Needels and a Makeshift Spear/Club to get them all.
Doesn’t quite look like they’re allowed to pick their own outfits… And taking on government trained officials who can fight when you yourself are a normal high schooler… Sorry dude. You aren’t that hardcore. You’d be snapped like a twig. Doesn’t matter if you know martial arts or smth. They know it better.
2 strategies that could be used which isn't violating the rules of the game I thought of while watching this. First is using the old slight of hand trick of slipping the joker into another students pocket as your not hiding the card and ist doesn't say you can't use that strategy to win. The second one is more challenging to pull off but still possible as when you're playing at the table with the others if you have the joker and make a pair you could use the 3 card monte trick to put the joker into the discard pile with the pair making sure that the joker is well hidden when you do it. You'd have to place the pair into the pile to keep the joker hidden instead of dropping it but it is possible but riskier that the other strategy.
Found in a high school game that could send you to jail: burn down the school and at least you go to jail for arson instead of being bad at kids games.
One thing that wasn't mentioned is that players can't limit options. If a player presents me with two cards and tells me one is the Joker, I'd say screw that and take the card from the top of their remaining hand. There's a good chance that it won't get me a pair, but at least it would make it clear that I'm not in the mood for mind games.
Question: If you'd happen to be on one of the teams that lost in this video, how strong of a case would you have by claiming you signed the contract under duress and therefore no longer be binded?
@@gamerleal9265 well i doubt the death game itself is legal. If it is illegal it doesn't matter what you signed because you cant ever legally kill someone even with their consent
What I don't understand about these movies is why don't students (who outnumber the "gamemasters" by far) just attack the teacher and the others and escape.
Not to mention that it's political suicide to create anything like this At best any government doing this or just letting it happen would be voted out of office, but more likely overthrown by a very angry population
Maybe it's because someone behind the scenes might come out with guns or tools to put the students on their place. Like the guards who are armed with those (batons?) And syringe stuff.
I just felt bad for the first girl who was sent to the supposedly “jail camp” because she was sitting there by herself and then she got sedated by the end of the day
I've been watching way too many death games. The moment we found out that we can skip days when too many people die, I was starting to ask where the kitchen was so that I could begin a mass poisoning.
I mean, they probably outnumber the guards and it doesn't seem like they have actual weapons other than batons and that non-lethal poison thing so Idk why they just didn't gang up on the teacher and guards. They could have easily taken the teacher hostage if necessary because he was never armed and always alone. The government probably would have followed them later but if they make it public there might be enough outrage to make the government stop.
My best idea would to just destroy the joker card from someone else. One rule said you can’t destroy your own cards, so why not destroy the joker from someone else?
@@heyyou322 though that still counted as destroying your own card, i think it's not Who did it since basically your contribution in destroying your own card basically For example being a getaway driver for Robbers, you didn't go there and Rob money but you still counted as robbing money since you contribute in such
Sounds kinda like Deadman Wonderland. Basically in Deadman Wonderland the protagonist was framed for the murder of his classroom and went to prison, but it’s not a normal prison. It’s marketed to the general public as an prison themed amusement park in which the prisoners do crazy obstacle courses in which the penalty for failing to complete them is death. To top of all off their are these people who are “gifted”. These gifted prisoners are called Deadmen. They are forced to fight one another, and the penalty for losing is you lose a limb mind you they do so with No anesthetic One guy got his eye ripped out, and another got his vocal cords removed. Yeah it’s dark but if you’re into that you can read it. It only has 1 season with so I suggest reading it because the anime isn’t coming back. It’s around 70 chapters long. Yeah this is definitely giving me deadman wonderland vibes with the prison guards. Oh yeah I forgot to mention the obstacle courses are dangerous like slip, and fall down you might die dangerous. To add to the stress of being in Deadman Wonderland they place a collar around your neck that slowly administers poison into your blood stream overtime the only way to save yourself is to win competitions, and earn points which is the incentive for the prisoners to participate in said obstacle courses. Getting points which I think it takes 3million points to buy a special nasty piece of candy which has medicine in it for the poison.
Not really. There would be far more guards and considering this is the government we're talking about I highly doubt they'd let them escape that easily. The ending was so forced.
someone else wrote in another comment section: "asian school death game" should become a genre on its own. it seems that cinema summary has become the main advertiser of that genre ...
Imagine if this guy made a death game that was literally invisible to everyone else but the participants and him and the challanges are modified rules of each one He is just studying for the best of the best
It didn't seem like there was many guards at that facility I imagine if after the first few people were killed if someone managed to convince people to fight back they could have overpowered the guards and escaped, possibly while they're subduing losers of a game
But the again, they were brought to a secluded place, with no outside help against guard with close ranged weapon, armory which basically would render the syringe gun useless and don't forget maybe a Plan if a situation like this ever happened
Maybe I'm missing something, but the rules never specified they HAD to play. The rules just told them they are not allowed to be late to class, but they never stated a penalty for sitting on their asses in class and not actually trading cards. That way no one loses, since a game is never finished. Just let the 4 day clock run out and you're done.
The reason they disqualified (beat to death) those who didn't show up to class is because they said not showing a fighting spirit is worse than losing. So it's insinuated that if there isn't just one remaining player by the end of the day, they'll all be killed.
@@HowToBeatYT I'd argue that outright exploting a loophole and defiantly challenging the government could be seen as a display of fighting spirit and wits and earn them their freedom, but I see your point and it makes sense.
This video reminds me of a card game I played called "Bull$hit" The game involves Three or more players and a deck of card that gets divided between them all The goal was to empty your hand of your cards before the other players could empty theirs On your turn you would discard a card by placing it facedown on a discard pile and say which card it was that you discarded **The first player has to put down aces, the second player twos, the third player threes, and so on** Now the others could choose to believe you or call "Bull$hit" The accuser will then flip the discard card face up. If the card was not what you said it was; you'd then have to pick up all the discarded cards. If you were actually telling the truth...then the accuser has to take all the discarded cards. **Edit** My thanks to 二十食べて and Jonathan B. in reminding me of the sequence order rule.
That's a great game, once I had 4 kings in my hand, and I placed down 4 random cards, calling that I placed down 4 kings. The other players didn't think anyone would be crazy enough to play such a hand without actually having the cards and passed it. I did it another time, and this time they think "for sure he has placed down the 4 kings", and passed it AGAIN. Imagine their face when I put down 4 kings yet again on the next round, this time with the real 4 kings.
We always play it that it goes in order of the cards. So the first player has to put down aces, the second player twos, the third player threes, and so on. That way, you can't just tell the truth the whole time.
@@galacticweirdo5977 You have to get rid of cards in numerical order. So the first player gets rid of 2s, then the next player has to get rid of 3s, and the next has to get rid of 4s and so on. So if you don’t have the cards of your number, that’s when you lie and put down a random card

Hey y'know, there are no rules stating that you can't form a giant team of 1. What I mean by this is all the students can sign a contract so that everyone in the room can be on 1 team. That way, this isn't against the rules, so there will be no one to gamble with and they'll be forced to let the students go. Is this a genius strategy?
@@ultimapower6950 then you will play against them one on one. The game works on pairs, if the person holding the joker is still up. That means you will still have odd cards, so you will need to take the right cards from the joker player to finish up whatever pairs you are missing.

If you look at the biggest channels that do these kinds of videos, they have very high energy, super dramatic, hyperbolic intros. The less popular (but still excellent!) ones tend to have more mild intros. I think the intro makes a huge difference tbh.

Slight modification as they would chemstrike you for giving them away:
lay them out in 2 rows.

@@HowToBeatYT hey
You should try to do Texas chainsaw massacre any of them that u haven’t done and it chapter 2 just a suggestion
under those rules, there's no way to lose unless you have the joker at the begining.
just exchange cards on the open.
for example, ask a player if he has a 6 and what number he wants. if you have that number. you exchange the cards face up.
even the owner of the joker can, safely, exchange cards with other players.
That's just go fish at that point
Ps this version removes a queen instead of having a joker but the rules remain.
@@DestroyerJamie here is the thing. they are "supposed to be"
and you, yourself, said "or at least away from the other players"
do it away from other players. you only need to care about the player that has the card you need. and you can freely ask who has it.

I mean these are kids or teenagers at most, they would probably lose that battle against guards and adults.
Government 😶
first off no one noticed the cameras first of all so youd never find every one, 2 whats stopping the guards from beating you to death
Doesn’t quite look like they’re allowed to pick their own outfits… And taking on government trained officials who can fight when you yourself are a normal high schooler…
Sorry dude. You aren’t that hardcore. You’d be snapped like a twig. Doesn’t matter if you know martial arts or smth. They know it better.
Ha dude I don't think you'd know ahead of time in preparation for this
2 strategies that could be used which isn't violating the rules of the game I thought of while watching this.
See after you said the strat of "laying the cards on the table" that is insanely smart; I would've never thought of that!
I honestly love luck based games turned strategy. It's so fun to play!
Found in a high school game that could send you to jail: burn down the school and at least you go to jail for arson instead of being bad at kids games.

That's because there's basically no other teenageish japanese people. Making this game so bad for the country.

Not to mention that it's political suicide to create anything like this
At best any government doing this or just letting it happen would be voted out of office, but more likely overthrown by a very angry population
Bro. Government is Bullcrap.

One rule said you can’t destroy your own cards, so why not destroy the joker from someone else?
technically taking their joker card to destroy it would be like taking it for yourself

"This girl is going to see all her friends DIE"
‘If you were trapped at school….’
Urgh just let me die. I can’t think of a worse fate than being trapped in my old school.
That ending was the most realistic part of the movie.
Not really. There would be far more guards and considering this is the government we're talking about I highly doubt they'd let them escape that easily. The ending was so forced.

it seems that cinema summary has become the main advertiser of that genre ...
My sister subscribed to you and I’m pretty sure this is the reason she didn’t go to school this month.
Imagine if this guy made a death game that was literally invisible to everyone else but the participants and him and the challanges are modified rules of each one
He is just studying for the best of the best
It didn't seem like there was many guards at that facility I imagine if after the first few people were killed if someone managed to convince people to fight back they could have overpowered the guards and escaped, possibly while they're subduing losers of a game
But the again, they were brought to a secluded place, with no outside help against guard with close ranged weapon, armory which basically would render the syringe gun useless and don't forget maybe a Plan if a situation like this ever happened
“ You are trapped in the worst prison on earth, where if you lose a challenge you get tortured beyond belief. What do you do?”
Not lose.
If you play alone than those in a team are more likely to unite against you as taking you out will eliminate the least amount of players
So, how did she know about her sister's escape attempt so much? Feels odd for her to have a breakdown of it, especially the hole in the fence.
Thats what i was wondering
Its so nice that all the channels I watch that are like this one are uploading Regularly, for a while it was a month or more for each vid
You should create your own death game, I'm willing to buy it off steam if it means using all the strategy I've learned from you
Maybe I'm missing something, but the rules never specified they HAD to play.
@@HowToBeatYT ur right
@@HowToBeatYT I'd argue that outright exploting a loophole and defiantly challenging the government could be seen as a display of fighting spirit and wits and earn them their freedom, but I see your point and it makes sense.
This video reminds me of a card game I played called "Bull$hit"
The game involves Three or more players and a deck of card that gets divided between them all
The goal was to empty your hand of your cards before the other players could empty theirs
On your turn you would discard a card by placing it facedown on a discard pile and say which card it was that you discarded
**The first player has to put down aces, the second player twos, the third player threes, and so on**
Now the others could choose to believe you or call "Bull$hit"
The accuser will then flip the discard card face up.
I think some ppl at my school play that during lunch
We always play it that it goes in order of the cards. So the first player has to put down aces, the second player twos, the third player threes, and so on. That way, you can't just tell the truth the whole time.
Yeah but what incentive is there to lie. There must be more rules than that
@@galacticweirdo5977 You have to get rid of cards in numerical order. So the first player gets rid of 2s, then the next player has to get rid of 3s, and the next has to get rid of 4s and so on. So if you don’t have the cards of your number, that’s when you lie and put down a random card
