- Honestly pretty hopeful about this. Do I think this will top the original? No. But I think this looks like a nice new telling of the story we've all come to love but this time with smoother gameplay. It will bring a newer generation to this franchise that never had the chance to experience Silent Hill before and I think that's pretty cool. What do you think?

Yea seems like people are really upset about Angela. I don't think she looks that bad. Just needs a little bit more work is all. And Laura's expressions are indeed my favourite out of all of them.
Because Angela in Original was a sweet girl with mental issues

I think it looks good and I can’t wait to play it.
The original is a masterpiece for its time a genuine experience.
Unfortunately I can't have a say. because I only played the title on PS2 but never finished it.
Angela's voice actor did a good job but the original feels a little bit more real to me
It's always difficult to beat the original. I feel the same about the HD collection aswell.
I am glad you are overall positive about it. I am tired of all those whining fans that will never be happy anyway. I am excited about the game and feeling optimistic about it. One can see that they put a lot of effort into it... The silly merchandise and stuff... give me a break, Konami.
I think it's just a trend lately to really hate on games and pick them apart on every little detail. People love to hate. I mean some games definitely deserve the critiques (gollum for instance), but in this case I'm seeing a lot of things here they did right too and shouldn't be looked over. As you say, you can see the effort they put into the game :)

I agree, I think Angela's model in certain shots could use more work. Personally the voice acting just from Angela is a little jarring to hear compared to the original. I don't want to be too negative it just sounds a bit uninspired. Hopefully it was just because of the trailer and the voice actor becomes more animated with her take on Angela throughout the game.
I think it clashes a little bit with the other characters. It looks like they put more work into them. Maybe because they appear more often in the story. And I need to hear Angela talk some more to get a good opinion about that one.
@@Raisedbybats I would hope not. Because Angela and Eddie are two very important side characters to the story. Plus there's only like five human characters they have to work on, I would like to think they would apply more time and care into each one. Since it's still in development I'm giving them benefit of the doubt.
As for the VA I just want to hear more mannerisms. Like her anxious stuttering when she doesn't sound confident about herself. From the trailer I'm not getting that yet but it's still just a snippet of the full performance so I won't crucify it.

I don't know why many people are very strict with the game, the truth is that for me it is a great game with what they showed in gameplay and I feel that many people will enjoy it too much, I feel that the community is a bit strict and the truth is that I feel that with what they are showing us is to compete directly with the last of us.
Probably because of nostalgia. In everyone's mind the original was near perfect. So It's difficult to compete with that. People will tear down any remake in favor of the original no matter how good the remake ends up being. I'm feeling perrty good about it though.
I just wonder how it’s going to run on pc. Hopefully they optimize it enough for a enjoyable experience

I can safely say to you that you've played/watched the best ones. SH Origins and Shattered Memories were nice but not nearly as good as the first four games. Homecoming, Book of Memories and Downpour, well... let's not talk about those.
Anyway, i'm very excited for this remake! Silent Hill 2 is my favorite horror game of all time and, although it needs to address some issues until it's launch, i think it looks promising!

I think a lot of fans are going to be disappointed, I er “cough cough” was old enough to remember playing the originals on release.
Angela is being referred as MANgela! and I fear that it has been beaten with the ugly stick, but I’m willing to overlook till I play the finished version as there’s been nothing I’ve been waiting more for than this bloody release 😂😂😂
yeah I've seen some people be really mad that she has a rounder face. Not the first time gamers have been mad about something like that. Horizon forbidden west got the same treatment and people later said it's a great game. But that's so cool you got to play the original when it was released! Bet you got some amazing memories about playing it.

Good memories, but I feel everyone’s expectations are different so we’ll just have to wait and see x
my biggest gripe from what has been shown… the removal of any humor. obvi it’s a dark game. but the OG scenes with Laura are very funny. it was a great way of cutting tension. this version doesn’t capture that so far.
A little bit more polish would be nice. I hope its not the final version.
They'll probably still work on it a little bit. We'll see.

Yea the mic stays an issue. It's the cheapest one on the market, but I feel like I improved the settings bit by bit. But welcome to the channel!
I mean let’s be honest here, nothing will compare to the original. The voice acting felt genuine, but also dreamy. I think that’s why it felt off, because of the dream like feel to the game. That and there were boundaries in the game, but hey that’s old video games for ya😂 But Angela doesn’t seem that bad. I do prefer the other version, but I never fully judge until I play the game through in and through out. People judge too much. People these days act like they are working for rotten tomatoes😂
I fully agree with your statement. You can't judge a game too much by it's trailers. It's just such a short time. And rotten tomatoes haha, sure seems like everyone's a critic these days.

The combat looks so slow and sluggish 😅so bad
Compared to other games definitely. But Silent Hill never really had good combat to begin with, so this actually looks relatively smooth for a Silent Hill game. It's okay in my opinion, it's not the focus of the game anyway and James is just a regular dude.
