One of the main themes of the game IS sexual abuse, sexual frustration and sexualizing.
Maria is SUPPOSED to be the sexualized version of Mary. That is how James wanted her to be. His selfish needs even when Mary got sick.
The "abstract daddy" should suggest rape. Two body shapes stuck to a mattress. The monster that sexually abused Angela, which also ties in with James his story. (It should not be a dancing clown with a tutu)
The nurses don't have faces but sexualized body's in the originals because that is how the sexual frustrated James remembered them when Mary was sick. This was all very intended to carry the story. It is all part of why James felt guilty.
I wonder how they handle the scene from the closet watching pyramidhead doing his thing.
This game is loaded with other heavy themes like suïcide and murder. I also wonder how they handle that.
I was sceptic already from the announcement. Especially since they already Demastered it in the HD collection. But now they also Deimaking it.

Masahiro Ito is in charge of the art direction. He’s the one who created all these characters. I think he knows what he’s doing. This isn’t someone else who’s out of touch with the original source material. He’s the one who CREATED the original source material.

What I’m more worried about is the writers at Bloober not being able to handle touchy subjects like Angela’s story with the same maturity. They have a history of not handling mental health themes well. Not that Maria is wearing a god damn jacket. 🤦♀️

I don't care for the jacket. I care that Maria is more portrayed like a scared and unsecure Ashley (re4) like person. Instead of a girl that is more confident about her being and sexuality and connected with her seducive background. It seems (from the footage we had) that the contrast to the Mary we know is very little. Which does not make sense since if they are too alike, James was happy all along and the trip to Silent Hill wasn't nescessary in the first place.

Games are not meant to represent you! You can identify with the characters, there is nothing wrong with that. Games are supposed to be better, more fantastical, and not focus so much on current state of affairs in real life. They are a form of artistic expression and freedom and that is why the wokies want to invade it and destroy it.

Angela 2024 is definitely a trans insert. That horrible deep woman-wanting-to-be-a-boy voice. I’ll bet her backstory will match somewhere akin to a trans persons trauma to make it more “modern”. Instead of Angela remaining a woman after her past and just a broken one, she will now be plagued with “the message” and her abuse is what caused “the change”.

im looking at this from a modern standpoint of how people dress now and what they look like today. Being that I play on pc I can change models with mods it doesn't affect me. I just hope that they don't change characters sexuality let alone mention it because it would be irrelevant to the story. I still plan on getting the game tho.

Uummm... i dont know, it feels like someone entered the Big Head cheat code. Also to add to the reason she should look slimmer - the character is supposed to be in a dark emotional state. Stress and anxiety would cause her appetite to change and her body to loose weight since she may not be looking after herself properly.
I feel like most devs these days are incapable of delivering a proper remake or remaster. I think Star Ocean 2's remake doesn't seem to have any woke touches added to it (but I haven't played it yet), but pretty much every other remake in recent years has. And even if not, it's usually still ruined in some way (like the FF pixel remasters). And the result is me skipping all these games as a whole. I refuse to pay another single penny for any wokified remake/remaster, no matter how minor the touches and I won't buy any butchered remakes/remasters either.
I grew up in an age where remasters and remakes were often amazing. Even if they weren't better in every way, they were still essential and rarely did they add extra censorship. I've reached the point of immediately getting out the moment my bullcrap radar goes off.

The new Angela's look is simply based on her actress Gianna Kiehl. That said, I still think she doesn't fit the role at all.
They cast a potato face who doesn't look like Angela so Angela could look like that. So that's irrelevant. I can find you an actress that looks like Angela in 5 minutes. It's not hard.

@@Sub5_77 More people are catching up, but my country's indoctrination and brainwashing is pretty effective. But I was also awre of it quite a while ago. I read books like Brave New World and 1984 and have seen various dystopian movies and anime. And well, I've also paid attention in school when they explained how our 'democratic' country worked. Made no sense to call it democratic and that also came up in class, but that seems to have been something that most people forget soon after with the TV and media constantly calling our country a democracy even if the thing they're showing is pretty much the opposite.
