i actually like angela's new design, if i remember correctly she's supposed to be 19. though i kn9w that victims of abuse often tend to look older than they are, og angela looks like she could be in her late 30s. that's just my opinion, though.
Everyone's talking about Angela, but what bothered me is dark Silent Hill. It looks like they just put a filter over the environment instead of changing the textures to be messier like they did in the original.
Honestly a much better trailer compared to the previous one. But this trailer kind of assured my worries that they are not going to handle Angela well and take out any subtlety with the character. James's new voice isn't as bad as it sounded in the first trailer though.
im pretty worried about it the movement and combat looks really stiff and clunky. Like a very unpolished Callisto protocol combat system and plays like a unity game
Angela's voice acting sounds like the shitty voice acting from Ascension. I think James sounds pretty good, and as for the other Characters in the new gameplay I feel mostly positive about them. Gun sounds still sound like ass. Overall I have mixed feelings.
@@Runebee I like that. But I don't think you can pull off the weird awkward acting that was conveyed in the original. The cadence of their voices gave the game a mysticism that I don't think can be remade. Kind of like a twins peak thing.. Although it does look like the tone will be a bit more intense, which could be a good thing especially with the combat. Even though the 'over-the-shoulder' is a bit fucking burnt out, it looks pretty good here. The combat in the silent Hill games wasn't very good, a bit janky. It'll be nice to see an updated take on that.
Yeah well we're talking "product of their time" differences now though, which is a different topic. But I agree, the dialogue in original is very special and surreal. I can see the remake attempting to match it, but it's just impossible to get it exact, so it's probably good they're taking liberties.
I'm looking forward to seeing Angela in this game! Seems like they handled her with the respect she deserves. Edit: Feel I should elaborate a bit. I sympathize with Angela's past. I really related to her and now she looks and sounds like me a bit. she is very important to me so I am glad she looks like she will be handled with care :)

in 2013 we all were promised "Silent Hills" with a dream team behind Kojima San, the SH WE ALL DESERVED.... 10 years later after, we got this. A remake of a game that didn't need one from a lousy third party studio who gave the middle finger to fans, a game that most everyone knows how It ends. This game feel generic. And I feel letdown.
I'd much rather give this a go instead of clinging onto a project that's been dead for a decade.

You can't deny the humongous influence it's concept had on the genre to this very day. I don't think I need to elaborate more on this, but Resident evil wouldn't have been brought back from the dead so easily without the influence that PT had on REVII. That's a fact.
