My first shift was AMAZINGLY easy and a joy to do. I think that newbies get decent great first shifts as an incentive to keep coming back!
My first shift was amazingly horrible I had to drive an hour to get to the area I was delivering it was waay out in the country with no street lights or cell phone service I had to deal with dogs gate washout roads and my last delivery looked like a scene from the hills have eyes it was at la winery that was closed that was six miles down a dark dirt road where I got a flat and could not deliver I made it home 2 hours after my stop time even though I could not make my last 2 deliveries so far I’m not going back

Thanks for posting this video and talking about going to warehouse to pickup packages. Sure eased my mind so when I start Amazon Flex.
I don't mind the 30 plus deliveries in a cluster. It's the 15 and 45 min plus to the first stop then 5-15 between stops esp in rural areas.
I had a dog attack me today and I'm a dog person. The first dog came up to me. No vest either the last two weeks.

The greatest tip is arrive at the warehouse check in, get to the scan my drivers license now stay past the 5 minute time to be one of the last ones and get free money cause they run out of routes

This used to work, now it doesn't, Scan your ID 4 minutes passed your time not 5 at 5 minutes you miss your block.

With the warehouse runs u may want to clarify that the customer can not leave a tip on the app but can give a tip in person

Thank you for this it was really helpful the warehouse I go to so disorganized. I had a route today that the packages were missing. I have packages that weren’t supposed to be in there. The route was all messed up. It had me going really far then back to my location and then far again. I think it’s very exhausting compared to other gig jobs.

Logistics and SSD warehouse are different, Logistics have a sticker with a number, SSD don't have a number but you can scan and number packages or sort them by letters ex: CCC BBB AAA
I was on boarded a few days ago. The “available now” tab isn’t in my flex app at all. Do I have to constantly refresh my app to see offers or will the app notify me?
Just signed up and all the pick up locations are 70-80 miles away from where I live . Is that the way it is supposed to be ? I called support there weren’t very helpful.

The start time in schedule is when you need to arrive at a amazon station? Or you have to arrive earlier?
You should arrive 15 mins early. That way you have time to arrange packages. I believe 5 minutes late it will cancel.
People don't tip in my area anyway. So Amazon Flex might be a good option here.
I have saw videos saying there are early (3-4 am) blocks for Amazon Flex. Is this true? If so are those early morning blocks any better than blocks later in the day?
I've done five of them and alot of the time its packages other drivers brought back to warehouse. 1 run was only like 15 stops but they were all like 5-10 mins apart
Mike, watched many of your blogs related Amazon Flex because I had interest in March 2024 to try the gig. WOW, what a disappointment and economic loss Flex was. All offers were at $18 an hour. Drove >500 miles in Nashville area, multiple pickup locations. Did four blocks, paid $262. All four blocks were in the rural suburbs around Nashville. Compensation averaged over these four trips $0.68 per mile, one trip was 196 miles, four hours X $18 = $72. Considering the IRS estimates $0.67 per mile to operate a vehicle your labor income is nominal.
This is one of the lower paying gigs I’ve tried. At least with both Lyft and Uber you know where you’re going and can reject the majority of low paying offers. Amazon may leave (end of block) >50 miles from your home, killing any chance of making a profit.
Good luck with Amazon, not for me. Here for the capital gain not the empty cash flow.
Don’t accept base pay.

2024 Amazon flex isn't what it used to be! First Now full of drivers but the huge problem is the BOTS! Amazon is the KING of the BOTS! Routes now are more Rural than in the city, where these houses are in the middle of nowhere and you have to face really rough paths that can damage your car and guess what! 😢Amazon is not responsable for what happens to your car. Also add this rural houses have huge dogs...

I was waitlisted for 1.5 years before I finally got on
I find it bonkers you can't deliver to mailboxes like here in UK. And we are told we must scan each package as we load vehicle. And if you follow Amazon process we don't get dinged for undelivered packages. AND most important we are not at risk of being shot! UK flex feels more driver friendly.

I have an Android device and I side loaded the app but I'm having problems actually signing up as I'm receiving error messages. Basically states that I should try again later.

It’s crazy me and my wife signed up a year ago and was placed on a waiting list. She got in recently and I did not. She won’t use it now because she got a remote job. Is there a way I can update my info to her profile? I’m familiar with flex cause I work for USPS. Any help would be appreciated

@@losababy223 hi, I never left. I’m still at the USPS going on my 4th year. I was trying to get into flex on the side. What state are you in? Some states and districts hire straight to career. You just have to look on the website. If you have to be a CCA they’ll work you like a dog for 1.5 years or less (depends on how fast they convert to regular). Once you hit that career you’re smooth sailing

Did 2 warehouse runs so far and have no idea how to load the car in order. Even after watching this there has to be a simplier way
Take a sharpie and look at your route stops and write the numbers on the packages. Place the low numbers in the front seat and higher numbers in the back seat or load the higher numbers in first and then the lower numbers. Therefore as you complete your stops you are working your way to the back (higher numbers). I hope this helps.

True, Flex always has a waitlist. Moreso than most any other app.
The flex app dont accept drivers right not
They'll add you to a wait list then email you to start the onboarding process when a spot becomes available in your area.
