I just finished doing a flex block 25 mins from the house finishedn2 hours early & the Miles were ok
I just learned that the late blocks 4pm 5pm start times are usually local runs & they pay pretty good you can average about $20-25 a hour(I'm In Columbus Ohio)
But Avoid any 3 hour blocks those will take you HELLA FAR out here they'll be 10-17 packages but the 1st dropoff is 45-50 mins away & I'll have a 50+ min ride home ðĒ(heavy on the miles) just got to pay attention to the blocks & learn the Game
I do these gigs as a side hustle and there is nothing worse than having a goal and having to scrounge up food orders to get to that goal. Especially in a marketplace where if I canât dash now, I canât dash at all. I like Flex because I know what Iâm going to make and I just go and I do it. Nine times out of 10, I get done early and the amount of times Iâve been sent home with pay is crazy, so I count that as my bonus money.
I only can do no more than 5 Flex blocks a week because of those mileage that range between 80 to 170 miles. And like you said this doesnât count the mileages of heading to warehouse (another 20 miles) and the number of miles heading back home. Also the gas, which I donât know the number of times the tank was full when I started the block but then I had to go back to the gas station when my shift was done. The pay is really solid, but the negatives of mileage and gas really makes it hard for me to do it full time. I do wish there was more Whole Foods orders in my area because those customers really do tip well compare to the other apps as well as the mileage in those orders isnât as far as package deliveries. I guess because of perishable items they donât want us to go too far.
Great information as usual mate. ð
I've been doing flex a little over a year now and I've never not gotten done early most three and a half hour blocks I do I get done in two 2 and a half
Most I made on a day was 275 but you have to take that gas out of it I had to fill up the whole day and when I was done I was at a half of tank. 40 to 50 stops usually takes me no longer then 2 to 3 hours
Fetch package is much more convenient in my area, similar pay as flex with half the work. And youâll know where youâre going before you start your block
Of all the blocks I've ever done out of the Mission Viejo, CA (DCX2) station in the 2 years I've done Flex, I've only ever had 1 that was heavy on the mileage: one from yesterday that had one of the packages go 3/4 of the way to Lake Elsinore. All the other blocks I've ever had from that particular warehouse have gone to, maybe, Laguna Beach or San Clemente, but that's it.
Was thinking about doing this in Pittsburgh, glad I watched this, thanks
We have a lot of stations in my area, I don't really drive alot and I do the 3:15am routes that are usually easy and 0 traffic. I do those routes first and after do instacrt and doordash and can be at 300 dollar by 3pm.
I've been doing flex a little over 3 years and I used to think that the longer the block the better pay but it doesn't average out with the mileage. So now I only do 3 maybe 3 1/2 hour blocks and I don't use alot of miles. And still get a nice pay and also finish before my block is up.
Grocery store runs are definitely better but harder to get in my area I can get a $55 2 hour grocery run and have it done in 25 minutes
Same here... I look for the Whole Foods runs in my area. The only time I do the regular Flex runs is around the holidays. You'll usually see some better dollar offers then.
What app do you use for grocery store runs? Thank you
Does anyone suggest some apps over others? Iâve just started Flex, so Iâve only done two blocks from two different warehouses so far, but I like it! Havenât been able to find a job a year after being laid off, so Iâm trying to make money with these apps till I find something. ð
We have 2 warehouses but thereâs only the main one we have to drive too to pick up the packages. The routes at times suck especially if they send you out to the boondocks and I hate that there could be service issues (gps) annoys me bad. I live in NY the pay is great all my shifts are between 110-156 for 3.5 hrs. I always finish early. I like to be in and out moving quickly and I pick up shifts around 6:30 or 6:45am until about 10am or 10:15am. I like flex to make quick money fast, besides my other gig apps. Mileage does suck especially going so far away to the area they give you.
In my area the miles always double the payout. For example $70 for 125 and more miles round trip. And donât think they have a small break time for drivers on 3-5 hours blocks.
The IRS sets the standard deduction for mileage at $0.67 per mile, which factors in expenses such as fuel, vehicle depreciation, insurance, etc. Therefore, 125 miles would amount to $83.75 using this rate. Essentially, you're volunteering for Amazon.
Yeah, thatâs what sucks about Flex, not knowing where youâll be assigned. I normally work the after 6pm shifts in the DFW area after Iâm done with my regular gig. Once in awhile I get lucky and donât have to drive very far. But most of the time I get sent out at least 20 miles away to deliver. And donât get me started on the goddamn apartment buildings complex/highrise deliveries. I absolutely hate them, especially those that have codes (that the customer doesnât provide) or delivery boxes that are nearly impossible to find or that you need a code to get to (again no code provided).
Flex very heavy on the mileage. Some places are 30 miles away just to get to. 48 minutes to 1st package
What happened to your Turo series ?! Itâs been 2 years since your last video.
I want to just focus on amazon fresh groceries deliveries. Is that still through flex or a different app? Thanks
18-20 bucks an hour is bad, very bad. Especially in SD.
What do you do? How much do you make?
@@youtubingbabs Iâm retired, but fast food minimum wage here is $20 hrâĶ so using your own car to deliver stuff, better be making much more than that.
I can only do flex when itâs last-minute surge blocks because they send me to a whole other state sometimes and Iâm not driving for $.50 a mile with their base pay
Itâs 67 cents per mile now
I have been driving since 2017 but closer to full time since 2022. I make deliveries out of the West Chicago warehouse which keeps me in the burbs. I have had a few deliveries where the first package was 51 minutes away from the warehouse! Same day will send you on a wild goose chase. However, leftover DSP blocks are much better, and there is a better chance of getting done way earlier.
Wild goose ðŠŋ ðĪŠ chase ðlol yup that sounds about right that's me!!!!!
I did Shipt for a while and believe me. going to Shoprite and finding out there are 12 cases of water bottles to be delivered to a 3rd floor by the stairs is not nice at all.
Very heavy on mileage I'm trying them out for a couple of weeks on my fifth delivery from warehouse.. learning that longer blocks are more money but more deliveries and miles..my shorter orders have been less deliveries but still more miles.. apparently you have to move up in the awards section to get access to the more lucrative offers... not sure how long I have to drive upside down for this to work to my advantage..
Soo heavy on the miles. I'm in the Baltimore area. I've done about 20 blocks so far. I started picking the 4.5 and 5 hour blocks, because it's more garunteed pay smh... counting the miles from the amazon facility to my home when I'm done, I'm averaging between 100-150 miles. I started counting the commute home cuz there's been times when I look at the GPS and it say 1hr 20min to home.. nope, I switch on I'm available for instant offers and drive home lol.
It's interesting how people with second jobs call them side hustles, it's the same as cleaners calling themselves detailers
2 blocks a day i drive over 223 miles daily
But isnt that why we take pictures of the items at the door, thtas our proof we delivered it????????
Well, not really. Three times I had Amazon drop a package, take a picture of package and then they picked it up and stole it. Dumb dumbs didnât see my cameras recording them.
I got deactivated a few months ago I would love to know how to get my account back
I'm here
On Instagram
Did you wake up on wrong side of bed today lol.. I have never had a face to face delivery lol. Donât have to wait at restaurants. Doing flex in tucson
Been waiting on the list for 7 months sucks i wish i could get this side gig already
Same here dudu, but i was so lucky I got mine Approved with the help of YOUR DRIVER MIKE. he helped me when i was depressed and i think he can help you too, I suggest you send him a request
The only idea you can do Amazon flex is in stead of going to gym running in the carpet go do Amazon flex delivries and take that fifty bucks.
But if you think you gonna make money doing it you really need to find a job and not wasting your time and dealing with some unexpected danger situations.
Unexpected danger lmfao.
