Storage space is IMHO a serious pr9belm, there is no way to increase it as ftp, exluding the 1 storage increase for season that is absolutely not enough for all the new monsters. But yes refining parts could scale the daily reward with HR, at least HR would be useful.
Honestly as a player only a month or two in: I already feel like I'm becoming locked into a build. I made the heavy bowgun as a new player with the tickets the event gave because I needed to learn the monsters and patterns. It's at grade 7. Now I feel like I can't make anything else. It's not even the rare parts all the time. I mean, just to upgrade the bowgun, I need 30 god bugs. But I very rarely get them while out walking around. An hour can net me one or two. This means I can't experiment with builds. Most of my armors are still hovering around grade 4, baring the ones that naturally come at grade five which I can't fully make a build with yet. I feel like I'm just being told to hurry up and wait. I honestly hadn't even noticed that refining parts were going to be a problem yet because of the slow pace. And yet here is another wall in my way.
HR 300 here. It’s a real problem and has a chilling effect for new events. I suggested event quest line bonus refining parts and maybe HR level bonus refining parts months ago but Nia just dismissed and handwaved issue away “You can collect your daily rewards” SMH🤷♂️😒

@PauwerPlays true but the grind is hindered by willful interference to try to discourage players into spending. If the game didn't have that i feel more players will stay and most people i know don't have a problem with spending their hard earn cash, so long as they feel like they are being rewarded. The shop is heavily over priced on everything. You're telling me I have to pay a weeks worth of gas for a damn increase to my inventory space...20 freaking bucks for inventory....Come on...potions should be 5 per dollar and that will cause people to spend more because if I pay 50 dollars on a potion and I have a crap ton, I'm playing the game more and have time and energy and money left over to buy other things I might need. My point is their is a way to make money without squeezing your players dry. Here in America most people are not wallet warriors unless the game is fun first. Unfortunately, even if they gave us more refining parts, then we'd run into issues getting enough Zenny to actually build anything. The game's whole economy is messed up.
I think only certain players have issues with Zenny. I have 1.9 million and have all my builds built. I don’t get every weapon every new piece or all that and the game is a cake walk. The economy is only broken for certain play styles I suppose
Yeah it is super frustrating, we cant even buy them right now what i can see. I started play the game for like 2 months ago and i have kept my Great Girros, Black Diablos, Zinogre, Deviljho materials. Right now i have maybe 150free slots so can barely do anything and i get full inventory. In Pokemon GO you can slowly upgrade your inventory space for free
Weekly and monthly quests for both weapon and armor parts with the weekly giving 3 per quest and the monthly giving 7 per quest would fix a lot of this. Also, if they would give 10k Zenny for the weekly and 30k Zenny for the monthly. In addition, they should add monthly friend quests that give from 10k to 50k a pop (depending on difficulty) as well as T6 rewards (perhaps random ones).
I'm a day one player and did hit a progression wall, but it's not the refinancing parts. I currently have 80 weapon and 90 armor parts. At the cost of spending cash to up storage to keep with new monsters as that means new weapon/armor. I have issues also with being over HR 201 and not gaining 3k per daily quest or boosted bags. This would help as the deficit is for real and I'm exhausted physically in many ways with spending. I've requested a few changes which came to be in game. There's others like gyroscope field of view manual adjustments is soo necessarily needed badly. Definitely spent since the hype is up there for new mh wilds demo🎉🎉🎉 We need both more zenny and bags
I mean, the season pass is worth it every time! As an android user, you can get it with an $8 coupon from the play store (if you keep up with getting play points), which means that you can essentially get the pass for 2 bucks, which you only need to spend every 3 months.
I can see the value of the season pass but after buying it you still have to buy potions if you need em. So id rather wait for good deals on potions haha 😅
Been playing for over a year. Honestly, I foresaw the refining parts problem and the difficulty with Wyvern gems. So I purposely stalled my advancement in the main story quest so that I wouldn't unlock monsters I couldn't beat or would need lots of upgrades to defeat. Due to that, I had a large storage of refining parts (in the 90s) before I started getting 8th grade weapons. I thought I was being too cautious, but I see now that it really paid off. I also got one season premium pass and have never been in debt for any of the rarity 3 materials like Bone+ and earth crystals (have well over a hundred of each most of the time). I don't know if this also had an effect, but I've always prioritized the meta builds. After playing for over a year, the only thing that has really held me back lately is Zenny, but only because I've making a decent amount of 10th grade weapons lately XD. I see people complaining about the difficulty while only playing two or three months, give it some time, find friends to play with if you can. It takes time, but you'll do better and as your skill level increases you'll rarely need potions too. These days I can afford to try out new builds because I have that luxury after working hard and grinding, but I can see how that might be frustrating at first. Currently trying to cook up a build with evasive concentration, fighting spirit and aggressive dodger, but its been tough.
@@guts9043 As a MH vet who just acquired a phone which can somewhat handle running the game in early October, my main issue with the advice of taking your time is the fact that different seasons rotate the monsters available. Right now I'm kinda stuck having invested into a Water and Thunder weapon I can barely upgrade and it's holding me back. I had no idea when I first started that Coral Pukei Pukei and Zinogre would be unlocked so late in the story quests and would be so uncommon even once you did unlock them. I'll need to slow down my playtime regardless though since winter is coming up and I live a little bit too far in the north for a phone's battery to handle the cold very well anyway.
@@LonesomeDevil Haha yeah, ran into that trouble with Barioth, didn't think I needed it for a while, then suddenly realized i needed it for armor after it left the wild and it was a slow grind. I can definitely sympathize with your point of view, some elemental weapons of mine were slow to upgrade compared to others, but I also think that there is balance in that. If the best elemental options were so easy to get compared to others then why make a distinction between monsters and their weapons? Rathalos, for example, has arguably the best fire elemental weapons, but it is also more rare to find in the wild. Whereas Anjanath is not as powerful, but more common and, therefore, easier to upgrade. For a while, Zinogre was only Hunt-A-Thon exclusive, making it extremely hard to farm and correspondingly had the best thunder elemental weapons. And I don't necessarily see anything wrong with people who've played the game longer than others having had more chances to farm rarer monsters in past events.
@@guts9043 I guess I'm more annoyed than actually angry at the game. I farmed Coral Pukei-Pukei a lot during the event to get my first water weapon and I had no idea what I was getting into. So it feels like I could have used all those weapon refining parts and zenny on other stuff if the game had been a bit more clear about the time and frequency of those monsters' spawns outside of the event for newcomers. Because obviously I wasn't strong enough to beat any level beyond 5☆ during the event itself. Thankfully, a wasted Grade 6 upgrade isn't too much of a set back, I guess. But since I didn't want to start upgrading the Jyuratodus weapon from scratch, I kinda invested everything into the (regular) Pukei-Pukei one. But even at Grade 8 it feels barely stronger than my Grade 6 Elemental sets.
I personally don't have the problem because picked LS since the very beginning and have stuck with it so don't really need many refining parts. I have over 100 of each. I do have multiple 10.5 weapons and most of my armor is 9.5 but I understand that people like to use new weapons and make new armor.
@@PauwerPlays haha yeah I wish I knew of this trick to just make multiple accounts since launch because back then you could do 20 referals PER MONTH until they changed it to 20 per account in february so I bet there are people out there who did this and have over 500 potions and never spend a penny on them 🗿 Back then you only needed to grind to HR6 for the rewards - that's literally doable completely at home. I was forced to go out because they changed it to HR12 - when the tutorial ends. Probably why they changed it so you don't get potions anymore which sucks.
Sadly I don't think they worry about the average player, FTP games generally are whale focused. I suffer less from refining parts as I just switch between weapons and armour, a few weeks ago I would have 100% agreed with you though when I was on a grind for 8*+. I mean I buy the season pass and get the monthly gems sub, but with the price hike to the global event I am considering dropping what I pay into the game. Increasingly poor performance, greed and some shitty mechanics (like driftstones) are starting to take their toll.
Just wait, now they added more snoozefest, the awful stickers which i hated in pokemon go, so we will probably be forced to deal with them for daily quests lol
am i the only one who doesn't have a refining part shortage? i mean im constantly out of zenny so upgrading still takes forever since i refuse to pay so much for so little zenny in the shop. but i've never had an instance where i was out of refining parts. anyone else?
I love this game but some issues are very problematic. Once reached 10 stars world you cannot downgrade. Drift smelt system is luck-wallet based not skilled based. DL range is now abysmal. Some of the most predatory being drift smelt system it self.
I was day 1 then dropped it, picked it back up a few weeks ago, I have a lot of unfinished weapons and gear because I’m so indecisive on what I need to progress, I’m not looking for short cuts but the whole thing about having a lot of weapons was the trial and error aspect of it, error here is devastating and kills your play time. And this game has a lot of barriers that kills play time enough as is. This isn’t Pokémon where we’ll blindly let ourselves nickle and dime us for the lolz, monster hunter is all about optimization, time, gear. I get that the developers got to make their money but let’s not act like the didn’t just rip assets from the previous games and made it mobile, niantic is known for its innovative of ar tech and heavy monetization. And in this game it’s way more money hungry with less ar tech, it makes me wonder why even work with a company that just makes your ip look bad
I want them to ass dismantle option. It's doesn't have to refund everything in fact, just refunding the currect rank 0.1-0.5 upgrades even at discount would be appreciated.
The drop rate for rarity 6 need to increase 8star monster and higher need to be fix where at least rarity 5 and 4 are dropping more since it only dropping rarity 1 and 2 more then rarity 4&5 on 8star monster and higher that is ridiculous drop from 8star or higher monster only getting rarity 1&2 dropping
Clearly don't know how people get so much materials even, never have refining parts issues because it's so slow getting materials. Is spoofing still a thing?
I ended up dropping the game shortly after lance/dual-blades were added for a number a of reasons. Mainly my area is a bad spot so low resources, rng hell getting the right biome>monster>rarity-of-item to upgrade anything, no one to help when marathon events were going on. Nice to hear for players like me there would only even more frustration because of rather unfriendly towards user designs.. Playing the game since it's launch every day until lance/DB was added I only got to high rank 2.
They are getting greedy now they replaced the 39.99 gem pack for a 69.99 gem pack with more gems in webstore. I occasionally bought the 39.99 one for me and my son, but after they removed it for the past 2 months or so, i haven't bought shit screw these guys. My son and I are passing on the ticket as well, and i do love this game, but greed will kill it. My son isn't playing as much due to the fact of refining parts and playing inventory management sim. They need to figure it out before its to late.
And there is me with alot lot of ressources and zenny but no monster bone s nor iron ore. I can't upgrade my equipment. I don't want to buy those monster bone s and iron ore pack... I have to trash monster parts because I don't have space anymore in my storage T^T And I have 1 284 850 zenny I can't spend.
I feel like they really need to add some sort of refund or dismantle mechanic. I understand they probably wont let you do this so easily, maybe like a special function that lets you do this once a week, and sure, microtransaction it with an option to pay for the whales. Weapons I wasted and regret overgrading because i dont use it anymore. I dont know, just something.
I am too lazy craft new items or weapons. I am this person playing only one build with every weapon. Now I have like 90 weapon refining items. Just again, to lazy make new items and weapons...
Armor ref requirement should be reduced by atleast half. We only need 1 weapon but we need 5 armor. I have no complaints with weapon refs. Still sitting at 170+ with 11x G10s lol. Perks of not building elementals i guess. I still wish for dismantling.
to be fair you and other players that like to experiment should quickly see that crafting a bunch of different gear is really discouraged in this game. i view mhn in a more causal way and i am also a weapon loyalist so it has always been obvious to me and the kind of player i am. though i get your frustration since you are a youtuber and its always good to complain to get your voice heard. still this is a mobile game at the end of the day so of course roadblocks like this are bound to come up.
I understand limiting refining parts for free to play hunters but asking them to grind em for weeks just to upgrade one armor piece is kinda absurb if you ask me haha. This will make most players quit the game sadly.
Paid events gonna be my quit. Yeah i missed nergigante but im still new. But if i need to buy every event. Nah. HR 90 something. Oh and why i cant choose the monster for my palico painballs? To buy the paintballs? Nah. Yes its a mobile game but... for example: afk journey, its a hero collector game with some afk mechanics, and i know as a f2p or a small spender im not going to get in the top ten, but it is still fun for me. You can progress but a lot slower, and you can do anything without paying just a lot slower.(at least ive didnt find a "brick wall") 😊
Also if you constantly need potions when you can have a full 10 meds plus 5 in the wings, you either are not great or hunting far too much. More then you truly need to to be successful in this gane
I have quitted before because of lack of playing together with other people around the world and i'm back again after they add this features in HATS and random spawned monster. But now I think I will quit again because of slow grinding and bad RNG of this game x'D
GG potions... But in my opinion when MH wilds comes out .... Everyones i mean every single person going to spec out MAX DAMAGE, fast kills to match up MHNow... Sad ... If u ask me...
Also if you constantly need potions when you can have a full 10 meds plus 5 in the wings, you either are not great or hunting far too much. More then you truly need to to be successful in this game
Refining Parts is only an issue for certain players, I have over 65 and delete some sometimes for space, only Hunter rank 169. You truly only need a few builds to destroy this game
If Niantic actually respected the time we put into the game, they would increase the amount of daily refining parts we can get at certain big rank thresholds at the very least... But I don't ever see that happening, unfortunately.
Yeah, honestly I'm not surprised. Niantic cut their teeth on the Pokémon Go users. Now, they're taking and applying all they learned from that to maximize profits. While it's not specifically a paywall, it's more of a "pay hurdle." You can either spend cash to jump the hurdle or spend time to walk around it.
I think the monetization structure in general is awful but potions are definitely the biggest offender. It’s like charging for screen time which is not something I’ve seen mobile games do since like 2015…
@monkeybrains bro....hear me out, there needs to be a life vamp build...I've been saying this. So they have variants of regular monster...they have a variant mitsue and instead of bubble dance, you should get soul orbs on the suit...should you perform a perfect evade during a fight, the suit will refund you a percentage of health lost....if you are full health, it should act as a peak performance perk and boost your attack instead. I have been cooking on ideas bro, trust
@@kataimason3230 the price of everything is definitely too much given that they’re all consumables, paintballs being like $3 CAD each just to defer a monster for later when you’re too laggy to play is daylight robbery. The wandering drops/orbs are patently useless, they need to be completely reworked. As far as a life vamp build goes, I think what you suggested would be good for hunting monsters way below your gear level but super janky against ones you’re getting one-shot by anyway. Since if you’re getting one shot from full hp, 50% is effectively the same as 100% so all it would do is take up armor skill slots that could go toward dps. I guess it would incentivize upgrading armor to g10 then. Blood rite would def be an interesting skill to see come to the game but with the current state of potions/monetization, I don’t see it happening any time soon. They’re just too greedy.
Ive actually not really had a problem with refining parts or even Wyvern Gems, I'm hunter rank 230 don't know what you guys are doing differently. The problem is ALWAYS Zenny. Are you guys just not refining armour past rank 8.1? You can still not get hit and play perfectly with high armor. The same logic for 'get good' also applies to using weaker weapons to take down monsters.. i literally go months without using a single potion and barely use even 2 first aid med in a day
weapon part isnt even problem you get it 1 daily 1 lmao its only problem for hardcore player for casual its not a problem at all we have job and something to do sounds like your own problem because like your previous excuse weapon/armor part can still get it just by waiting same reason like how to wait hp regen/wait until monster event become free my own problem is storage because its annoying
if you have too few refining parts you are playing to much ^^ i never have issues with them but i am not playing that much but regularly. the storage space is much much more annoying because i have to spend so much time on selling them + zennis are worthless to me, i have enough. also i would prefer paying for content rather than for progress, and being able to continue playing. i have spent 0€ so far because of this 💩 monetisation model
Months ago used to have too many of them because I was stale on upgrades, and I actually trashed some of them for storage space My best advice is to do.dailies.every.single.day. 🗿
Alot of us are suggesting to add more refining parts or dismantle mechanic but they won't listen,oh well they will listen when alot of us retire 🤣
Well when wilds drops next year, it wont be our problem anymore 😂

Maybe give us afew refining parts as bonus drops or like for completing HAT/EDI
My bottleneck has been money, and I do have quite a bit of armor pieces at grade 8. Same with armor
I'm patient I can wait as l9ng as I have the monster parts
I wanted to level up the Halloween longsword but I can't because there are several others pending T_T
Yeah we really are limited in what we can make in this game huuhu
I personally don't have the problem because picked LS since the very beginning and have stuck with it so don't really need many refining parts. I have over 100 of each. I do have multiple 10.5 weapons and most of my armor is 9.5 but I understand that people like to use new weapons and make new armor.
I got no rants today. I'm just excited for the wilds demo 😂
Yeah sir! Cant wait to try it out!
I'm so happy that I did the 20 referal links before the change in june where they gave you 5 potions each so I have over 100 potions to spare 🗿
Daaang that's gonna last you for a while! No need to play cautiously and you can go ham with farming monsters haha!
@@PauwerPlays haha yeah I wish I knew of this trick to just make multiple accounts since launch because back then you could do 20 referals PER MONTH until they changed it to 20 per account in february so I bet there are people out there who did this and have over 500 potions and never spend a penny on them 🗿
Back then you only needed to grind to HR6 for the rewards - that's literally doable completely at home.
@@Bodphrah78 the sad reality of free 2 play games. As long as someone's buying the overpriced packs then there's no reason to change it
Just wait, now they added more snoozefest, the awful stickers which i hated in pokemon go, so we will probably be forced to deal with them for daily quests lol
@@GaaraVII I wouldn't mind the stickers actually being useful, like a sticker which tells people to got for the head/wings/tail
@@PauwerPlays we will have to wait and see, regardless I have already pre ordered wilds so if you are covering that I will still be watching :)
am i the only one who doesn't have a refining part shortage? i mean im constantly out of zenny so upgrading still takes forever since i refuse to pay so much for so little zenny in the shop. but i've never had an instance where i was out of refining parts. anyone else?
I love this game but some issues are very problematic. Once reached 10 stars world you cannot downgrade. Drift smelt system is luck-wallet based not skilled based. DL range is now abysmal. Some of the most predatory being drift smelt system it self.
Yeah i treat driftsmelting like a bonus mechanic so that i dont get too annoyed when i dont get what i want haha!
a lot of us are just waiting MHWilds. 😂
Same cant wait to play the beta!
Me who is still early game and hasn't unlocked those yet 😶🌫️
I'll be fine with any method as long as its free 🤣
I just started playing Now, and the monetized potions really kills me.
It's a pain to deal with at first but once you get a feel for your weapon you'll barely use up potions :)
I think a refund system could seriously affect the gameplay loop if it refunds all mats. I just need it to refund refining parts haha
I have hundreds of the refining materials, never understood the struggle 😅
Lucky you! Go craft some more builds 🤣
Some of us progress more slowly than others. The refinement parts are time gated and punish the players that grind more often.
Same, I’m constantly dumping them. I upgrade stuff way slower than some people I guess.
This will make most players quit the game sadly.
potion and slot for keep that potion. just max 10 not enough
Yeah, the lack of development in the game has pushed me away 😅
Maybe when they unlock the hr300 cap, we'll get more refining hopefully
Yeah, honestly I'm not surprised. Niantic cut their teeth on the Pokémon Go users. Now, they're taking and applying all they learned from that to maximize profits. While it's not specifically a paywall, it's more of a "pay hurdle." You can either spend cash to jump the hurdle or spend time to walk around it.
True, its really annoying
The season pass should give Refining Parts every level & thousands of Zenny (not just hundreds), it's becoming worthless.
The fact that one punch man and spoof gps users are still lurking 😩
This is exactly why I quit when Mizu and Nightshade came out, as an OG fan from 3U this disgusts me lol. I'll stick to genuine MH, not Niantic trash.
25 days just to get one weapon and armor piece to grade 10. Should not take a year to max out one build.
Potions is the biggest issue in my opinion.
I think the monetization structure in general is awful but potions are definitely the biggest offender. It’s like charging for screen time which is not something I’ve seen mobile games do since like 2015…
@EbiLMunkeY bro they just need to cut the price and creat a postion crafting system....imaging using herbs that you find to craft potions booommm
@@kataimason3230 or give say 5 or 10 hp recovery for killing small monsters
The same logic for 'get good' also applies to using weaker weapons to take down monsters.. i literally go months without using a single potion and barely use even 2 first aid med in a day
Sitting on 200ish of each 😂 but 😅you know only have 2 peaces at 8th level
Upgrade your armor… and stop neglecting def. I don’t ever use potions anymore due to 10-5 all armors.
Monster Hunter Now...🤦♂️
Another problem for normal player😢
Its the freemium tax 🥲
weapon part isnt even problem you get it 1 daily 1 lmao its only problem for hardcore player for casual its not a problem at all we have job and something to do
sounds like your own problem because like your previous excuse weapon/armor part can still get it just by waiting same reason like how to wait hp regen/wait until monster event become free
my own problem is storage because its annoying
I have more wgs and other rarity 6 then I do weapon refine parts. Lmao
if you have too few refining parts you are playing to much ^^
i never have issues with them but i am not playing that much but regularly. the storage space is much much more annoying because i have to spend so much time on selling them + zennis are worthless to me, i have enough.
also i would prefer paying for content rather than for progress, and being able to continue playing. i have spent 0€ so far because of this 💩 monetisation model
Refining parts rarity 3 but rarer than rarity 6 WGS and even elder dragon horns 😂
The game had became pay to enjoy
@t3r3nc392 the fact that you can get more than 1 r6 material and only 1 r3 refining part is crazy 🤣
@@PauwerPlays anyway item box is not worth it i never buy any since the game release
@@PauwerPlays knife has no value anymore cause you can’t even knife refining part 😂
Literally, most of the stuff is a case of patience. A lot of people complain and complain. But they don't wait. All you have to do is be PATIENT.
They'd make a lot more money if they charged less. Micro transactions in this game aren't so micro.
If you need refining parts, you spend too much money on this game
And time
Wouldnt say i spent whale levels of money but i did spend way too much time on this game haha
That sounds like a 1% problem 🤷
Well making builds should be part of the fun when playing mh games haha
And the 1% are usually those who spend the most
just play at ur own pace; maybe u need to create
multiple
accounts for your content
You guys can totally play at your own pace! But for me , i think i have to buy em for content haha!
Months ago used to have too many of them because I was stale on upgrades, and I actually trashed some of them for storage space
My best advice is to
do.dailies.every.single.day. 🗿
I Ditched the game as soon as Fake Gps Stopped Working. No Regrets.
