It’s going to depend on the motor that you’re starting out with!!! A 103 base motor bumped up to a stage 3 is not going to make the same hp and torque as a 107 or 114 base motor, etc., etc.!!!
Personally if I got a 117 I'd be happy with just a stage 2 cam exhaust and tune. Currently my 2011 street bob has the 110 tire shredder kit (106hp/122tq) which I'm very happy with 👍
I did a stage 3 114 to SE122 kit. And the owners description was exactly right. It was strong but it is not mind-blowing. And with the HD SE tuner you leave tons of power on the table. 500 miles later and underwhelmed with the results. I did an SE 131 kit, Max-Cell 837b cam kit, Fullsac header, KW slip ons, real tuner 150hp 162tq. Of course Man O War comp, G3 carbonite clutch. People if your going to spend the cash go big! Piece together an HD 131 kit, Pistons, cylinders, heads, manifold. They superior to many aftermarket pieces, then finish it with aftermarket goodies!
I did the SE 122 with SE torque cam, SE HO oil pump, full SE exhaust, pro street tuner. It not a wild difference from the stock 114 but it runs pretty strong. I' might swap the cam, heads, throttle body, and tuner once the warranty is out. For now, I gotta say I LOVE THIS BIKE.
Once again y’all are great with the explanations. It’s great to get a bit more understanding of what is going on. Maybe one day I can be as knowledgeable as Chris (but I for sure won’t be as dreamy!). Thanks y’all!
I have a 2022 street glide st . I am getting the stage 2 upgrade in two weeks.Your videos are very informative and I am learning a lot.Much appreciated.Cheers Steve
I watched your videos to learn how to ride initially. I started out on a night rod 2013, was rear ended, with the insurance money I bought a 2011 night rod with a trask turbo, catching CV1+9 on the flight to pick it up... got it home, after recovering, my engine blew out. last mechanics said their dyno tec quit or retired right when I handed my bike over, they let it sit in their garage for 2 months. Picked it up, the engine blew the same day. if I lived closer to you guys I'd take my bike to you in a heart beat, it's really difficult to know the quality of who's handling your motorcycle these days.
Awesome video!!! I'm considering buying a builde with a stage for upgrade already done. Thank you for explaining and making it so simple. Now i'll know what to look for and ask about to make sure it's legit
I have a 2022 softail deuce they did a stage one on it Vansen Hines to under one exhaust and has now 17,000 miles on it. Oil changes all the time and filters never driven in the rain never been washed about all the bolts. The Kim stock from Harley Davidson has been changed. It’s in mint condition show bike. I think I’d like to go to a stage three maybe a stage four I don’t drive it hard where should I take it to get a really good mechanic to do but the show is on there thanks, Rick.
Good content, I do have three questions. With upgrading the milwaukee motor are you leaving the factory compensator which is prone to be an issue? How are you tackling the breather blow by system as they seem to have issues with that? And with the current issue with the crank bearings would it not be better to upgrade the crank bearings to the tapered Timken bearings?
I kno this is off topic but fuck it. I want to thank you for teaching me to ride a motorcycle. Rode her (48) from the Harley lot myself with nothing but nuts and your videos. Salute!
How would a stage 3 affect my warranty on my ‘21 fatboy. I would really like to go with s&s but worried about losing the warranty that I paid a lot for
Blockhead you always do great videos Been watching since you did the OG how to ride videos but I was just curious if you guys are getting the right power numbers from that because I have a 114 with a CR 480 cam and I’m producing the same horsepower and 128 torque on a stage two to me something doesn’t seem right
Man something is choking off the HP. I bought mine new in 19 and did a warranty compliant stage 3 107 to 114. SE Ventilator extreme, 64TB, SE-498 cam, S&S Superstreet 2-1 with cat. SE tuner using a stage 4 117 map. 118 HP 122 TQ.
you think that Chris would be down for a step by step install video? I think it watching an actual harley tech make step by step installs would be sick
I've been enjoying Blockhead videos for quite some time now. He's grown a LOT since his humble beginnings in a single car garage to what he is today. I'm genuinely happy for him for what he has built. You can see his progress with pretty much every video. One confession I must say is that I am not a subscriber. Yeah yeah, I know, I know. I'd help him out tremendously in addition to helping out Chris (25 year Master Level Technician) and Justin (Optimum Digital Creator). I didn't sub at first as a grievance for the no-face showing. I was like, well...his channel, if he doesn't want to that's cool. Then I was like screw it, I'm punching that subscribe button! Well, that's what that little angel dressed in white on my shoulder said to do, then on the other shoulder this lil devil dressed in red said....NO! Not until he does a face reveal !!! Today, I just realized how Chris (25 year Master Level Mechanic is slowly becoming the "face" of this channel. Which is not a bad thing at all. Chris has also sacrificed big things to be where he is today. I applaud all three of you guys. So here I am. I'm looking back at all his progress and to be 100% honest I know Blockhead's given many people the confidence and drive to do something that they thought maybe they would never be able to do in their lives. Whether that is adding a small cosmetic part to their bike for the first time or opening their own business. So Blockhead....I'm not sure if you hear this all the time or not, but I'm sending you my sincere congratulations on what you have built so far. You are what makes this country great. We seriously need more people with your mindset and drive. ~Don't let others tell what you can't do.~
Since I have a 23 heritage classic and not a full touring bike, should I stop at a stage 2 or give stage 3 a shot? Bike does not have stage 2 yet...only at stage 1
I'm with ya brother! I also like homemade cams! Lol soon as my bike gets delivered I'll def be hitting yin's up to get atleast a stage 2, depending on my money situation. I'm broke, jigga, I'm broke! Lol awesome vid 🔥 🔥
Really enjoying your videos! Crazy question I know but do I have to replace the muffler? I want to do a Stage 2, without increasing noise. Also do you know of any manufacturers, that make a muffler that increases the exhaust flow without the noise.
Great vids, thanks guys. I want a stage 3 for my '23 Fat Bob. I have S&S Grand National slip ons with the stock bronze headers. I like the bronze finish a lot. If I do Stage 3 will it require a new 2>1 exhaust? If , is there a brand out there that has bronze headers that go 2>1???
Just inherited an 88b. Makes pooh for power. Also read about the tensioner issues. What does the blockhead crew recommend for reliability and a nudge in power?
I have a 2016 super low with vance and hines pipes not much else done. My top speed is 85 miles and hour lol I want at least a hundred. Will stage 3 get me there.
seems like a really cool shop. Thank you for the content. So being an Indian guy *dodges thrown wrenches* it would be awesome to see ya tear into one. That is if you work on Indian bikes there.
So i have a question for yall... Im looking at getting my first bike and i dont know crap about them... Do u have any suggestions for a good starter bike... Or a bike i can build on? Im really leaning on thr fat bob but idk
Hey blockhead, looking into putting a cam in my 2015 dyna low rider 103. I do wheelies and burnouts alot and ride it very aggressively. What would you recommend for more power.
How much power do you think a Stage 3 makes? Comment your guesses before we show you in the vid!
101hp 115trq
125HP 138TQ
135rwhp 130tq with high lift cam
It’s going to depend on the motor that you’re starting out with!!!

Watching your videos I'm thinking about going to a stage 3 setup on my Night Train
This customer had it right when he said no one will ever touch his bike but Chris! 👍 But we already knew that! Chris is the best 👏👏👏💥💥💥
I watched your videos to learn how to ride initially.

Great series explaining all the “stages” for everyone to understand.
Those tq numbers are very impressive
A full 124 S&S kit with a 550c cam is getting installed this week on my 107 RoadGlide. I just can't wait to see what kind of bike it becomes
The thump after the stage 3 is nice
Love you guys from one of the original day ones
great video, the owner seems like a really cool guy
love the blue, my 18 Ultra Classic is electric blue and silver fortune.
Awesome video!!! I'm considering buying a builde with a stage for upgrade already done.

Didn’t notice it, but do you recommend a upgraded compensator and upgrade it screaming eagle clutch plate?
Love the short pipe look. I hate when the pipe(s) cover the rear wheel.

Did you guys put baffles in to gain some back pressure?

Awesome - entertaining and educational.
Have you done this yet to a streetbob
That giveaway bike is nice

what woud recommend for a stage 3 exhaust to still keep that nice rumble sound
Really enjoying your videos! Crazy question I know but do I have to replace the muffler? I want to do a Stage 2, without increasing noise. Also do you know of any manufacturers, that make a muffler that increases the exhaust flow without the noise.

Thank you guys for this. Another informative video
Just inherited an 88b. Makes pooh for power. Also read about the tensioner issues. What does the blockhead crew recommend for reliability and a nudge in power?
Can you go from stock to stage 3 or do you have to add each stage.
Is there a way to move the pick up for the EFI to get fuel efficiency after a tank lift?
Are you able to adjust the relief pressure on S&S M8 cam plate like the S&S TC3
Do I need to put in valve springs if I’m gonna put in a 475C S&S cam?
Nice work!! and sweet bike. Love that softail. Gotta say the bagger give away bike is sick too. Subscribed!!
I have a 2016 super low with vance and hines pipes not much else done. My top speed is 85 miles and hour lol I want at least a hundred. Will stage 3 get me there.
Love n the info, but who is the stylist ??!!!
seems like a really cool shop. Thank you for the content. So being an Indian guy *dodges thrown wrenches* it would be awesome to see ya tear into one. That is if you work on Indian bikes there.
There's an FTR in the shop right now. And he's given away an Indian awhile back.
Bloody Awesome Work!
Dang! I would love to do the exact same thing this customer did plus black push rods.
Does the S&S stage 3 or stage 4 void the manufacturer warranty?
Watched stage 1 & Stage 2, subbed on stage 3!! Lol
What baffles are you using?
Hey is it possible to do a stage 3 sleeper with stock exhaust ?
Hi guys! What oil filter do you use in a build like that?
If I do a stage 3 se on a new low rider what can be done to reinforce the transmission and clutch? Cheers
Hey guys what about the heat issue that comes from the engine if u upgrade to stg 4 any suggestions??!
You changed the exhaust. Is this a different bike?
Do you do work on indians as well?
I just subscribed thanks for the videos
When are you continuing the sportster s build?!
Waiting on parts
What kind of power do you think a dyna would put out with a stage three it's a 82" screaming eagle big bore and pistons and s&s carb
sounds so good
I actually did as you asked, and subscribed. I feel funny now. Is that normal?
hello form Scotland love you bro
What exhaust would be more optimal over the v&h short shots?
So i have a question for yall... Im looking at getting my first bike and i dont know crap about them... Do u have any suggestions for a good starter bike... Or a bike i can build on? Im really leaning on thr fat bob but idk
What’s hours on a stage 2 for replacement?
Would love to bring my dyna to y’all 💪🏼🙏🏼❤️🏍️💨

Hey blockhead, looking into putting a cam in my 2015 dyna low rider 103. I do wheelies and burnouts alot and ride it very aggressively. What would you recommend for more power.
