Is This Cheap Seven-Seat SUV Any Good? (Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max 2024 Review)

- Detailed review and test of the 2024 Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max three-row SUV including price, warranty, interior, driving and more.
The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max is a seven-seat family SUV that arrives at a sharper price point than a Mitsubishi Outlander, Honda CR-V or Nissan X-Trail, but is this Chinese crossover actually worth considering?
While it does have a few flaws - such as awkward access to the third row, and a clunky dual-clutch automatic at low speed - the Tiggo 8 Pro Max is a remarkably decent vehicle to sit in and to drive - at least on first impressions.

One SUV ive been waiting for. For a long long time
CNY0.50 complements of little pink army HQ in Beijing
Not long after a year of launching the Omoda, Chery with the Tiggos will soon outsell Honda in Australia. Honda has been here for 60 years 😂

The worst thing about the Japanese and other established brands is if one remember the old days, they rip you off by making you paying more for options, such as power windows, aircond, folding mirrors, 360view camera, etc, better looking grille, and you basically getting half a car if you don't pick the higher model!.at least Chinese brands are more generous and give you most of the things you really need!
the chinese love their gadgets and having the lastest thats why
I’m definitely considering it
Good you can be the guinea pig
@@mrkring1526 😂 yeah I get that for sure
Thats rly good value for money tbh
My dad bought me a 2024 BMW 320i LCI. It has no leather seats, no power tailgate, no sunroof, no reverse camera, and the list goes on.
Would you advise me to exchange it for a Tiggo 8 Pro Max? The price is similar.
The face lift (which was actually kind of a heavy one) was announced 2 weeks ago in china
We’ve had the facelift for about 4 months in South Africa
@@Bless_Mabundatheres a new face-lift in China
Is this a repackaged Haval H6. Looks identical especially the rear.
No way! These two companies have no connection. They are competitors.
GWM is competing with chery, quite fiercely too if I may add
what about spare parts?
Hybrid coming to South Africa mid 2024
The Big Three automakers in the U.S. would be shaking at their knees 😅🤣
Looks great except for the sluggish feeling infotainment.
Chery now a days is like Hyundai back in the 1990s. Desperately washing away the poor quality stereotype while trying to survive. They are an established brand in China, but is getting out competed in Domestic market. They are doing surprisingly well worldwide though. From producing copycat Hyundai Getz to this, it’s quite a journey.
Chery actually survived in Chinese desperate-competition auto market
1300kg braked towing….. yikes
Dont compare this car to Mitsubishi Outlander or Honda CRV or Toyota.... No point. Try to compare apple to apple that make sense👍🏻
It’s a remarkably Nissan looking shopping bag of a car.
No
IT’s Chinese ages in dog years
I stopped watching at DCT
so you didnt watch any kia or hyundai reviews either who use dct?
@@mrz1281 Correct. A DCT is fine in a sports car, in an SUV that spends most of its time in traffic it is a poor choice. Hey, that's just me.
Just like your phone this car will only last 3 years 😂
No just 3 month
No just 3 days.
No just 3 hours
... like all modern cars.
..3 minutes?
Chinese cars are like copycats of a bunch of established brands with large display panels. I would rather buy a car with less bells and whistles but works flawlessly during its lifespan, with a little bit of personality.
I doubt Chinese car makers care much about what you'd rather want when they can barely keep up with global demand 😅
Chinese cars are like copycats. We're all copycats. Man could not make a plane if it were not for copying nature. As long as your copying with precision that's fine. The bib boys have been ripping us off for years.
@@ayatollahrocknroller7632 Australia is their most successful market among developed countries, but far from being barely keep up with global demand.
Agreed. But unfortunately the difference/disparity in spec/features with noticeably more expensive Japanese (competing) models is vast. That makes it harder to justify a Japanese purchase. The basic japanese models while priced higher are so bland and lacking in features, you wouldn’t feel like buying them even if they were priced lower than Chery
I feel like they're good for leasing, if it's not that good, dump it after the lease ends
Mahindra xuv 700 is way better then this Chinese scam
Looks more solid with a little bit of personality.
@@bananabear009 I agree looks are nice in Chinese cars plus interior no doubt but reality will come out after 5 years of usage
Yes, India is a 3rd world superpower. Wonder how much content of the Mahindra actually comes from China LoL. I read the latest China India trade deficit data and is a shocking 3rd world subject vs colonial relationship. India imports 10+ times more from China (tech) than what India exports to China (curry, rice and straw mats). 😂
Yes, every Mahindra car has been soaked in Ganges water, it is holy. India replaces South Korea and becomes the new center of the universe
