Says he has no experience, proceeds to build one of my favorite looking cafe racers. Gard damn! Good job!
Thanks 🙏 lots of time on TH-cam learning what to do and in photoshop getting the look just right.
This was sick! Never let anyone tell you otherwise!
Thanks 🙏
Great bike, love that rusty orange/brown… stunning, mature and sophisticated! Woodworking is why I love your channel but I love seeing you restore this beauty so thank you for sharing!
❤️ thanks, JewDd. The core of what I share will always be woodworking but it fun to have a side project to everything
Great build. It's definitely motivating me to finish my CB550. Good work.
Oh that’s awesome! You should do that.
Love the build looking forward to the next one, keep up with the good work
Great looking bike fun videos to watch to
Looks good I love the leather stitching on the seat lol but you definitely did a great job on the engine and exhaust they compliment the old school look well. I personally will be making a few tech changes like capacitors instead of a heavy battery and Im doing a 750, Im hoping to at least hit 150 mph with it if not Ill add a turbo set up, who knows I may add the turbo anyway and try to get 200 mph out or it definitely going with some fat tires like some thick Harley Davidson 18s or something along those lines. I want something built strong enough to handle a bump at 150 mph if I don't see it in time to slow down, I already know without stripping it down 130 mph and 0 to 60 in 4 to 6 seconds isn't an issue. The thing I like most about these builds is its not much of a suspension change and tire change to build a 650 or 750 off road machine. I also have back issues already, so I won't care as much on the appearance I can't put the handle bars that low.
Parabéns pelo trabalho meu amigo, ficou muito bonita 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
min 0-2: A man who speaks this humble, has mentally already surpassed the "better", because he knows there is more to it. Love your work and your will-power
This is a great video. I’m looking forward to the other cafe racer you were talking about, specifically the seat mold with the carbon fiber. I’m never work with it (or fiberglass) so anything related to it is new to me.
Killed it! Amazingly helpful content as well👏
I loved seeing it all come together! It turned out so amazing! I'll have to get you to restore mine haha
Haha. I’d be open to it.
Amazing build, love it!
Thanks for watching!
Very nice build Kris. Well done. And chock full of build information.
Thanks, Peter! More bike builds to come
Great video! I love this type of stuff. Love cafe racers. Definitely, one of the bikes I want in my garage.
They’re a lot of fun to build and have a small footprint for a project vehicle
Love the build man, watching all the way from Jamaica. You habe really given me a few points I'll be definitely be using for my first build. Thanks for the vid man, really amazing.
Greetings all the way from Canada. Awesome to hear. More build videos to come! Just working on the last parts for the K100 build and started another CB build.
Bike turned out awesome, man! Glad you decided to share the process.
Thanks, Shaun! How’s the VW truck coming along?
@@furthernorthfab Very slowly! But making small progress here and there.
That bike is badass. Good work
Im HD guy but i like all bikes cool machine👍
That looks great man! It's always good when you can expand your area/s of expertise.
All part of growing, right! Thanks for tuning in, John.
Awesome custom build!
Beautiful build
yo this thing is sick! love the tank
I’m going to be doing a build like this and came across your video. Very motivational. The bike looks great!!!
That’s amazing to hear, Phil!!! Send me pics of your build on IG when you get rolling.
Truly inspiring
Liked and subscribed! I built a CB200 cafe racer about 10 years ago I learned as I went just like you did.😊 It has since fallen into disrepair, and I’m trying to get it running again. Your video was motivating for sure!!
A CB200! Thats so cool. I’m so pumped to hear the video was motivating ❤️
Hey man just spawned in my TH-cam shorts feed and i really loved your moto to the point of wanting to start my own project!
Love to see the process.
And i think this bike can easily change style by changing the handlebar.
Thanks. Yeah, I think you’re right but I do like the styling of the low handlebars
I love it great work man
Nice bike!! Your short got recommended to me and it brought me here
Oh awesome. Good to know. I love how it turned out
That looks awesome!
Thanks Roland.
So sick!
giving me the motivation I need to pull apart my 1996 suzuki cafe and give it some over due TLC
Do it! I love hearing that this video gave you that spark! Send me pics on Instagram once you get into it
love your video. I had a cb750 and got someone to help me pull it apart. i then had no one to help me put it back together and do the work and ended up (regretfully) selling it........ would love to build one but would need someone to help me......your video is a great encouragement to go for it.
Great video... very nice bike... well done
Great work mate!
I appreciate it
Inspirational video
U knocked out the park boiiii
CLEAN!!!!
That paint is beautiful!
Awesome vid here bro! Keep it up!
INSPIRING!
Nice bike I have a xs400 I'm going to build myself, my welder is a Hobart handler 135 same as a Miller mini mig very user friendly machine. A little critique when using a cut wheel on your grinder, always cut with the wheel turning so the machine pulls away from you,if the blade binds it will pull away not to you, don't ask how I learned this.👍👍❤
love cafe racer
Awesome!!!
Very well done
Thanks for watching. I’ve got some builds coming up in the next few months
This was a great video and yeah i got that far a tool video for restoring motorbikes would be really useful as I am hoping to buy my first soon thanks alot
Take a bow, sir. 👏🏼
Love the Pirellis! What are the specs for those tires?
Looks awsome and really good work! Although maybe some polishing to the engine would have made a big diffrence, but AWSOME!
Also maybe some easy upgrade engine parts, something to add a couple horses and some pop.
Look at everlast. They have so many options that a lot of brands don't offer at a low price. Very happy with mine and their company is reputable and I had a great experience buying form them. Had my welder in 3 business days
You should get a gas powered soldering iron. Game changer.
Built mine with a 1976 CJ360 T.
bro is talking about where to get resources when he's one for me haha
I definitely want to see a video on tools!
Wish I cold build a badass ride like that with my pop.
Good build . Please demo you welding covered up as others will copy you !!
amazing
Lincoln electric easy mig 180 was the first welder I bought. It's under $1000 and is probably the best "budget" welder that is great for beginners. Even the less expensive welders aren't very cheap if you are looking for something that will be reliable and weld nice.
Of course I would do your own research and figure out what would best work for you.
I was looking at the mig 220, but that’s still something for down the road. Thanks for the feedback! Cheers
I love it. I have 1978 CB400 I would like to build like that.
I’d love to do a 400 one day.
What tire sizes did you go with?
hey, just wanted to know more about your battery experience , like how you managed to do all those complicated wiring done by yourself. i have newly developed this craze of bike building hope you can help me increase it a bit.
WoW 😮
Hey, what brand mirrors did you go with?
I've done mainly classic rebuilds, but I prefer 70s rebuilds that said, I am watching for ideas on my own cafe racer rebuild, but also I would like to know where to order parts from like turn signal kits and rebuild kits for carbs and engines?
Great work man! What kind of foam did you use for the seat and how do you feel it holds up for longer lengths of time being seated.
Thanks. It high density foam that I got from a local upholstery supplier.
Awesome build. Would you ever build one for someone else?
I’m actually building a CB750 that will be for sale next spring.
@@furthernorthfab That's awesome. Hopefully u make some videos on the build.
Hi Kris.
Did you paint the honda wings on the tank, or is that a decal? If it's a decal, where did you find it? I am looking for a decal like that
.
Thanks so much
What's that type of handle bars are those and will those fit a cb750?
Awesome job. I am a home garage builder too. Really enjoyed your video. What did you use for the seat foam?
Thanks Jeff. It’s high density foam I got from an upholstery distributor.
You took off the front mudguard, including the brace that’s on there. I’ve read a lot about structural integrity being reduced when you do that. Did you notice any issues when you were driving?
I am actually putting a fender on this year. I could see why it would help.
what carby and air filters are those?
Looks great. What type of tires are the ones on the final bike? Pirelli?
Thanks. I believe it’s a MT 66
Looks good. Are the wings on the tank a large decal or are they painted on?
That’s a decal made from car wrap. Thanks for watching
Yea working on old bikes it helps being trained by a journeyman electrician and master plumber.
Awesome cafe! I'm building one now. A CB750 K5. I rode it home for $500. It was built the month and year I was born. Crazy. Never selling it. :) It's going back together. Currently a roller. Powder coated the rims/swing arm. New vintage firestones. Tank is painted. Sunrise Orange candy. I need to do the carbs and put gaskets in the engine. Such a fun project! Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh sick! That’s so rad! I have another project bike on the back burner what was built the year I was born. Two more builds before I get to that one though. 🤦
Would love to see a "Tools" video!
Instead of cutting the metal parts yourself. I would invest into a plasma cutter. Way easier. You would need a air compressor though, which is a good thing to have anyways.
Where and what type of foam did you end up purchasing? I had a lot of trouble with my build finding a suitable material that didn't cost a fortune and ended up with a few different layers.
There is a foam resale business local to me. It’s just a medium density foam that would be used for mattress covers or furniture cushions.
where did you find the tank sticker? looks sweet!
I had it made locally.
😎
Same here I be 40 next year, I thinking 💭 I want to get Kmp-200, Lafon, living in austin $ alot, want get that bike, all I do work ,eat, sleep, no sL : /, one day!
Curious about what 3d printed parts you had in mind for this build
Speedo holder a few mounting brackets and a few other little things.
Only piece missing was setting up your "rebranding" remarks. As a 1st time viewer I had no idea what you were talking about - EDIT: Did something similar to a CB350 a few years back
👍🏻
For the moto gadget m-unit how does that work with having a kick start. I have a 1978 Yamaha sr500 and I would love to understand this a little more
I can’t see why not.
👍👍👍
Sampai jumpa lagi nak 😇
wow.... great video.... i learned so much.... thank you.... and your 500 looks dope as fuck!! great job :)
What spray paint was used on the rims?
It was a paint specifically for rims.
hi how did you attach the seat cover to the fiberglass seat pan.
Pop rivets. There is another video on my channel about the seat
@@furthernorthfab nice one cheers ill try and find it
I don't know why people always says to use vinegar (an acid) and then adding baking soda (a base). If mixed exactly, these make water. What is this mixture supposed to do?
PS, my dad's an upholsterer and you did that pretty well. The foam looked a little thin right down the centre, would you make it thicker next time?
Thanks, Andy. I honestly didn't think about it that way with the vinegar and baking soda. It did work awesome to break up the old grease.
I'm building a seat right now for another bike build and will take that into consideration.
@@furthernorthfab Well, only if you find the current seat too uncomfortable for and hour or so. If not, you've got something that works.
okay there's a a difference between a build and a mod. With a build, you begin by welding up a frame; cutting down an old bike is a mod (where 'chopper' comes from)
If you don’t mind what was the total cost for this build?
No more than $4k. Honda parts are fairly reasonable. My next build was a lot more than that 😂
"Forsure" lmao
if you had had one more subscribe reminder then maybe i would have.. try to include at least ten of those on your next video
This cafe is sexy AF
How much did you pay for the bike originally? 4:50
$500 Canadian

I’m trying to watch this video but ads keep coming up and then it won’t play the video?!? Smh
