I just dug my dads '72 cb750 out of the garage and into the shed where I can work on it. Been sitting for probably 40 years and I can't wait to hear it run.
I am building the same bike right now, it brings joy, anger, satifaction and a empty wallet all in one big heavy lump of Japanise metal... love it, nice build well done....
That was the absolute cleanest 750 I've ever seen. The cafe racer that came out of it was gorgeous but I can't shake the feeling that bike deserved a normal resto.
@milezero.racers hey man, since I got you here. I wanted to start on a project cb 550. I know a decent bit about cars, but I'm not sure if I should jump into it and get a bike. I want to, but I'm just unsure. Any thoughts?
One of the best cafe builds video out there. Noone ever shows them absolutely ripping their bikes to full RPM, top speeds, slammmming the suspension. Just the rev matches coming hit into some of those corners.....that's what it's all about.
Absolutely gorgeous build, brother! Dad had an early CB750. A sandcast engine model, to be exact. He had it a few months, experienced a low speed get-off and broke his leg. A couple days later Mom sold it while Dad was laying on the couch in a hip cast. Dad never bought another. I made up for it though.
That's bloody awesome guys, what an outstanding transformation. I grew up on those bikes and that's gotta be one of the best CB750 rebuilds. Love the belly pan touch really sets off that big tank. Well done top job 👍🏴
I built my first cafe racer last year out of a nighthawk 750. Along the way, I drew a lot of inspiration from your build. Seen a lot of the shorts, but first time watching the full video. I'm contemplating doing this on the side until it can replace my job. Build them for people and do sweepstakes builds. I legit bought a belly pan for my build that ended up not fitting with my delkevic lol. For another project now. An a lot of great builds but this will always be my number 1. Great work. Love what you do. Thanks for #inspiring
Beautiful motorcycle. I fell in love with it from the first photo it was on. In my opinion, this is a model of what a cafe racer should look like. Hats off.
Who would ever thought a guys butt shot can be so inspiring? 9:51 Dream it. Build it. Seriously though - this was truly inspirational build man - such a beautiful bike!!! Hope you've been enjoying it! Can't wait to get into building mine one day!
That is so cool to hear! Whatever you’re building as long as you are accomplishing what your mind envisions and only yours, it will be spectacular. Because at the end of the day that’s exactly what i did and as long as I’m satisfied and fulfilled nothing else matters
Hi, it's great, what a beautiful bike you build up ❤ ***** Chapeau ***** Congratulations for your work. 👌🙏 I've this bike in the 80th, I'm a HONDA - fan until today and now I'm 68 years old... 😊 I wish you all the best and have a good time 😇 Kind regards, Martin Neulen from Bielefeld / Germany 👋
I got someone else to do the engine on my Yamaha XJ600. I refurbished the carbs myself and spent about 2 months trying to sort a fuelling problem out. Remove carbs, ultrasound clean, replace carbs, drive perfect for 1/2 hour then the tickover stopped working. I just didn't understand what this problemm was and must have dismantled the carbs 10 times until I realised that the ultrasound won't remove the varnish that builds up in the tickover jets from old fuel. Cleaned all jets with Acetone...... Hey presto. My next project was a BMW R80 with nice accessible carbs that were immediately cleaned with Acetone!!!! 😱
Awesome! Looks like the bike is good balanced and sporty to drive. A lot of cafe racers mods are not driveable, literally a lot of builds become to be "Cafe non Racers". Lovely that you left the original paint color...nice tribute to his originals. Nice job and new engine the most important.
@@mohammadrasoulfard-habibi3066 bro thank you for reaching out. It definitely is a bit of work to film it all but it’s my pleasure to share it and meeting people like you make it worth it. Cheers
Absolutely legendary man! You should definitely try and bring it out to the 1 Moto show in Portland next year! This would easily be a hit, especially with the story attached to it. A great place to sell some gear too!
Congratulations and great job!! I retired from Honda after 37 years building motorcycles in Marysville Ohio along with cars. . I would love to get some details on the wheels and front end build l. I have a similar project will be starting very soon!! Cheers
I’ve recently been watching a lot of rebuilds on TH-cam and this has to be top 5 I’ve seen so far. Such a nice sounding engine and it looks amazing. I’ve been wanting to buy an older Honda or BMW and take it through a rebuild process but I know absolutely nothing about motorcycle. Should I do it!? Part of me will regret if I don’t do it but I also don’t want to fail. Any advice!?
Yo thank you so much for the love!!! Should you do it? Fuck yes you should dude. Just do it. Before i built this blue bike I’ve never used tools in my life. I didn’t let anything stop me and just keep grinding. Trust me, it will make you feel so accomplished and proud like no other. I have a bmw I’m selling if you’re interested depending on where you’re located but dude reach out anytime. The whole concept of mile zero racers is, “no matter expert it beginner, we all start at the first mile”. Cheers
Just for future knowledge it is easier to lay the engine on its side and set the frame down over it to Mount those engines they're very close clearances so this gives precise movement
Ahhh man thank you so much. It was quite the journey and taught me many lessons along the way. One that stands out is exactly what you said. Finishing the play and seeing it through.
Great looking bike, one of the best dimensions in a Japanese production style cafe racer I’ve ever seen. It looks really great with that tank placement. And it’s all nice and clean with that original tank. Personally I think a bit taller, deeper seated with more of a forward lying race position with feet pointed backward would also look great with this type of styling. Maybe with a same style and color scheme and sun vizier yellow cowling/ fairing fitted around the yellow headlight. Great job you did here, looking forward to other builds.
Amazing 👏 👏👏build especially for it being your first? I hope to be able to rebuild an engine one day? Question from a complete noob. How did you catch your mistakes, seeing that you rebuilt the engine 4 times. I would be worried about blowing up a completely good engine.
¿Los repuestos del motor se los pusiste nuevos? ¿Alguna recomendación para comprar de ahí? Soy de Paraguay y quiero importar las piezas. Tengo una CB650 de 1979.
Beautiful build, did you make that chin fairing or did you buy it? If you bought it can you let me know where I can get one just like it. I'm also currently building a cb900c and I've been trying to find one but have had no luck. Thanks

Watching your excitement as you built this reminds me of the old saying…it’s not what you buy, it’s what you build. Great bike.
